RESUMO

In the early terms of pregnancy anti-infectious protection provides by NK-cells of deciduas. The distribution of immunocompetent cells in the deciduas of women at 6-8 week of gestation and different infections has been studied by immunohisyochemical method. The quantity of NK-cells with CD56 +/- CD16+ CD3- phenotype significant decreased at mycoplasmas infection. Clamidiosis correlated with 2-folder increasing of CD56+/- CD16+ CD3- cells. The quantity of CD56++ CD16- CD3- cells in the deciduas didn't differ between compared groups. The revealed changes in local immunity are accompanied by infringement of gestational transformation, especially under clamidiosis.

RESUMO

The composition and distribution of immunocompetent cells in human decidua basalis at 6-8 weeks of pregnancy was studied immunonohistochemically under normal conditions (control group) and in infection with different mycoplasma species (microbial number> 104 CFU). In all the groups studied, monocytes were most numerous cells; large granular lymphocytes (phenotype: CD56++CD16-CD3), macrophages (CD68+) and immunonegative lymphocytes were observed in equal proportions; the least numerous populations were those of NK-cells (CD56+/-CD16+), plasmocytes and granulocytes. No statistically significant differences were found between the content of these cells in all the investigated groups. The data obtained suggest that mycoplasma infection even characterized by high microbial number, does not cause significant changes in the composition of decidua basalis cellular infiltrate.

RESUMO

Evaluations of immune system of 155 patients with rubella and 90 contacts with patients were examined. Detection of viral genetic material in blood, urine, and nasopharyngeal swabs has been performed using RT-PCR method. Clinical diagnosis has been confirmed by RT-PCR in 114 (73.5%) patients. Changes of laboratory tests for rubella without clinical signs of the infection were observed in 20% of contacts. Complex ELISA- and PCR-assisted examination of patients can help to determine the stage of disease and characteristics of immune response. For differential diagnostic of rubella and other infectious diseases with exanthema it is rational to perform complex examination of patients using immunologic and molecular biologic methods.

RESUMO

The pregnancy course, labor, delivery and early neonatal period were studied in pregnant women with Chlamydia trachomatis infection as well as in their children. The levels of specific antibodies to Chlamydia trachomatis pgp 3 plasmid protein in maternal sera as well as perinatal complications were comparatively analyzed. According to the results, examination of anti-pgp3 antibodies is a highly specific and useful tool for the detection of Chlamydia trachomatis infection at its active stage in pregnant women.

RESUMO

The levels of azithromycin in the chorion tissue within the first 3 months of the pregnancy term (42 to 56 days post coitus) were determined. Three days after the use of azithromycin (Sumamed) the antibiotic concentration in the villi tissue was 0.065 to 0.26 mcg/mg (the average of 0.129 mcg/mg). The azithromycin concentration above 0.125 mcg/mg was detected in 38.5% of the women. The results confirmed the fact of significant azithromycin accumulation in the chorion tissue. The percentage of the azithromycin transplacental transfer within the above mentioned pregnancy term varied from 2.3 to 9.3 (the average of 4.6).

RESUMO

In vivo effect of metronidazole on the active oxygen production by neutrophils in the peripheral blood of patients with urogenital chlamydial infection (9 females and 7 males) was studied with the use of luminol dependent chemiluminescence. Metronidazole was administered orally in a dose of 250 mg twice a day for 10 days. Blood for the specimens was collected prior to the treatment and on the next day of the treatment course completion. No effect on the spontaneous and zymozan or phorbol-12-myristate-13-acetate stimulated chemiluminescence was observed, although a significant increase in the chemiluminescence indices was stated in 3 females and 1 male. It was suggested that the changes in the individual values of the neutrophil chemiluminescence after the treatment were associated with the influence of metronidazole and/or its metabolites on the blood cells and with different activity of the host enzymes participating in the drug biotransformation.
