RESUMO

An analysis of the experimental data showed that anesthetic medicinal films (AMFs) offer an effective medicinal form for the treatment of suppurative inflammatory disorders(SIDs) of soft tissues. The results of preclinical experiments with AMFs showed evidence of anesthetic, antimicrobial, and hemostatic effects. The therapeutic effect was established in the course of clinical investigations and confirmed by the results of cytological, histological, morphological, and bacteriological testing. The experimental data indicate that AMF application offers a promising means of SID treatment. Further development of this medicinal form must lead to an increase in the therapeutic efficacy, decrease the drug dose, and reduce the probability of side effects during the treatment of SIDs in soft tissues of various localization.

RESUMO

Transflavin, a transfer-factor preparation specific to tick-borne encephalitis virus, was experimentally shown to possess immunomodulating action. The immunomodulating action of this preparation could be observed in a dose of 1 D (1 D being equivalent to 5 x 10(8) lymphocytes), which was manifested by an increase in the phagocytic activity of neutrophils and macrophages, a rise in the amount of T-lymphocytes, an increase in rosette formation, the number of antibody-forming cells, increased proliferation on T- and, to a lesser extent, B-cell mitogens, the restoration of the T-dependent expression of lymphocyte receptors, inhibited by trypsin. Transflavin in doses of 0, 1 and 10 D suppressed primary immune response. The probable mechanisms of the immunomodulating action of the Transflavin under study is discussed.

RESUMO

In the examination of patients with the dermato-respiratory syndrome, peptic ulcer, pyoderma and surgical wounds for their immune status for the expression of receptors of immunocytokins (interferon, interleukin-2), autocoids (histamine, serotonin), neuromediators (acetylcholine, dopamine, epinephrine, norepinephrine) and for the presence of Staphylococcus aureus and Helicobacter pylori antigens have revealed that lymphocytes are the markers of the presence of infection in the body, pathogenetic systemic and intersystemic disturbances, adequately chosen therapy and its effectiveness.

RESUMO

The immune response to sheep erythrocytes (SE) is usually used as the indicator system in screening of immunotropic compounds. We had shown earlier that a rapid immune reaction develops in response to a chemical compound (drug). It is characterized by an increase in the number of antigen-recognizing and antigen-producing lymphocytes and their blast forms, titers of antibodies specific of the introduced compound and endobiotics mobilized under its effect.

RESUMO

Data on peroral application of new peptide origin immunocorrector from nervous tissue of hydrobionts are cited. It has been established that immunological gangliin activity, perorally introduced, is close to that being applied parenterally. This drug comprises a soft immunocorrector that is expressed by humoral and cellular factor strengthening of immunity, increasing induces of phagocynosis of PMNC and sells SMPh. Peroral gangliin introduction protects 50-60% of mice from fatal coli-infection. Gangliin availability to be taken perorally opens the door to its wide application as food addition.

RESUMO

Phosphacol drops applied to the eye of a mouse caused an immediate response of the blood lymphocytes. The number of phosphacol-immune rosette-forming and blast forms of lymphocytes increased. The response is specific since the formation of rosettes is blocked by the excess of phosphacol in vitro and does not occur when rausedyl-sensibilized erythrocytes are used. The formation of blast forms is intensified after small doses of phosphacol (10-9), but not rausedyl, are put into a suspension of blood cells. The technique proposed may be used for determination of phosphorus-containing compounds in the organism and the diagnosis of poisoning with them.

RESUMO

Experiments on rats and on human lymphocytes have indicated that a prompt immune response to low-molecular-weight biologically active agents is thymus-dependent, calls for cooperative interaction of T and B lymphocytes and macrophages, it is enhanced by T mitogens and implemented through the specific pharmacological receptors of T and B lymphocytes. The findings offer ample scope for controlling the immune mechanisms of habituation to drugs and poisons.

RESUMO

The authors provide the data on the etiological role played by higher aliphatic amines of the fatty series in the development of borderline neuropsychic disorders. The dopamine system was shown to play the leading part in their genesis. Activation of that system goes in parallel with disorders in immune and neuromediator homeostasis. Leukopenia, lymphocytosis, inhibition of T system immunity, a rise of the B lymphocyte count, beta-lysine, expression, of acetylcholine, dopamine, noradrenaline, adrenaline, histamine, serotonin, GABA, opiate and benzodiazepine receptors by immunocompetent cells were revealed. It has been demonstrated that the changes in the count of rosette-forming cells immune to neuromediators reflect the disease development and can be used as objective criteria for the diagnosis and treatment policy for borderline neuropsychic disorders caused by higher aliphatic amines of the fatty series.

RESUMO

The ability of the blood sera from patients with disseminated sclerosis (DS) to lyse native sheep red cells but not any other red cells was revealed. A method for the diagnosis of DS was developed: sheep red cells hemolysis test (SRCHT). The test was positive in all DS patients (altogether 96 cases) and negative in the controls. The hemolysin titer correlated with the disease severity, SRCHT permitted the diagnosis of DS long before manifestation of clinical symptoms.

RESUMO

A high-sensitive "immune" proserine++ test was developed for the early detection of myasthenia, especially of its concealed and unclear forms. The results are derived from counting Ach-ROK immune to blood acetylcholine (Ach) before and 30 min after subcutaneous proserin administration. A high (over 10%) baseline Ach-ROK blood count which fell sharply after proserin injection was characteristic of myasthenia patients as compared to controls (under 10%). The reverse was found in healthy individuals and patients with other nervous diseases: an increase of ROK up to 24-39%.

RESUMO

In the study of blood samples collected from patients with tick-borne encephalitis, the modified antigen-specific rosette formation test with erythrocytes, loaded with tick-borne encephalitis virus antigen via the specific immunoglobulin, has been used. The number of rosette-forming cells has been the highest during the acute period of the disease. The use of this test has confirmed the clinical diagnosis of the disease, together with hemagglutination inhibition serving as the main diagnostic test, in 35% of cases. The results of this study make it possible to recommend the antigen-specific rosette formation test for the early diagnosis of tick-borne encephalitis.
