RESUMO

BACKGROUND: Although sequencing technologies have boosted the measurement of the genomic diversity of plant crops, it remains challenging to accurately genotype millions of genetic variants, especially structural variations, with only short reads. In recent years, many graph-based variation genotyping methods have been developed to address this issue and tested for human genomes. However, their performance in plant genomes remains largely elusive. Furthermore, pipelines integrating the advantages of current genotyping methods might be required, considering the different complexity of plant genomes. RESULTS: Here we comprehensively evaluate eight such genotypers in different scenarios in terms of variant type and size, sequencing parameters, genomic context, and complexity, as well as graph size, using both simulated and real data sets from representative plant genomes. Our evaluation reveals that there are still great challenges to applying existing methods to plants, such as excessive repeats and variants or high resource consumption. Therefore, we propose a pipeline called Ensemble Variant Genotyper (EVG) that can achieve better genotyping performance in almost all experimental scenarios and comparably higher genotyping recall and precision even using 5× reads. Furthermore, we demonstrate that EVG is more robust with an increasing number of graphed genomes, especially for insertions and deletions. CONCLUSIONS: Our study will provide new insights into the development and application of graph-based genotyping algorithms. We conclude that EVG provides an accurate, unbiased, and cost-effective way for genotyping both small and large variations and will be potentially used in population-scale genotyping for large, repetitive, and heterozygous plant genomes.

RESUMO

Emotional disorders, such as anxiety and depression, represent a major societal problem; however, the underlying neurological mechanism remains unknown. The ventral lateral septum (LSv) is implicated in regulating processes related to mood and motivation. In this study, we found that LSv GABAergic neurons were significantly activated in mice experiencing chronic social defeat stress (CSDS) after exposure to a social stressor. We then controlled LSv GABAergic neuron activity using a chemogenetic approach. The results showed that although manipulation of LSv GABAergic neurons had little effect on anxiety-like behavioral performances, the activation of LSv GABAergic neurons during CSDS worsened social anxiety during a social interaction (SI) test. Moreover, LSv GABAergic neurons showed strong projections to the paraventricular nucleus (PVN) of the hypothalamus, which is a central hub for stress reactions. Remarkably, while activation of GABAergic LSv-PVN projections induced social anxiety under basal conditions, activation of this pathway during CSDS alleviated social anxiety during the SI test. On the other hand, the chemogenetic manipulation of LSv GABAergic neurons or LSvGABA-PVN projections had no significant effect on despair-like behavioral performance in the tail suspension test. Overall, LS GABAergic neurons, particularly the LSv GABAergic-PVN circuit, has a regulatory role in pathological anxiety and is thus a potential therapeutic target for the treatment of emotional disorders.

RESUMO

Chronic stress is a major risk factor for psychiatric disorders. However, certain individuals may be at higher risk due to greater stress susceptibility. Elucidating the neurobiology of stress resilience and susceptibility may facilitate the development of novel strategies to prevent and treat stress-related disorders such as depression. Mounting evidence suggests that the serotonin (5-HT) system is a major regulator of stress sensitivity. In this study, we assessed the functions of 5-HT1A and 5-HT2A receptors within the lateral septum (LS) in regulating stress vulnerability. Among a group of male mice exposed to chronic social defeat stress (CSDS), 47.2% were classified as stress-susceptible, and these mice employed more passive coping strategies during the defeat and exhibited more severe anxiety- and depression-like behaviors during the following behavioral tests. These stress-susceptible mice also exhibited elevated neuronal activity in the LS as evidenced by greater c-Fos expression, greater activity of 5-HT neurons in both the dorsal and median raphe nucleus, and downregulated expression of the 5-HT1A receptor in the intermediate LS (LSi). Finally, we found the stress-induced social withdrawal symptoms could be rapidly relieved by LSi administration of 8-OH-DPAT, a 5-HT1A receptor agonist. These results indicate that 5-HT1A receptors within the LSi play an important role in stress vulnerability in mice. Therefore, modulation of stress vulnerable via 5-HT1A receptor activation in the LSi is a potential strategy to treat stress-related psychiatric disorders.

RESUMO

INTRODUCTION: Managing chronic diseases and tobacco use is a formidable challenge in low- and middle-income countries (LMICs) with limited health literacy and access to quality healthcare. This study examines the empirical evidence from China, utilizing quasi-experimental approaches to assess the causal effect of chronic disease diagnoses on smoking behavior. METHODS: Employing the diagnosis of chronic disease in the older cohorts of the population as a natural experiment, this study utilizes recent advancements in difference-in-difference estimation methods (CS-DID) to investigate the effect of a diagnosis on smoking behavior. Self-reported new diagnoses of conditions ascertained chronic disease diagnoses. CS-DID was run using the study sample from the 2011 to 2018 waves of the China Health and Retirement Longitudinal Study, comparing results with traditional two-way fixed effects and event-study models. RESULTS: The average treatment effect (ATT) of CS-DID is slightly greater than the effects reported using conventional difference-in-difference methods. We found that diagnoses of cancer, heart disease, and stroke reduced smoking rates by 16% (95% CI: -24 - -8), smoking intensity by 0.31 (95% CI: -0.46 - -0.15), and had lasting impacts on smoking cessation behavior (one wave after diagnosis ATT= -0.17; 95% CI: -0.34 - -0.00, two waves after diagnosis ATT= -0.17; 95% CI: -0.37-0.03). A diagnosis of a mild chronic disease, such as hypertension, diabetes, asthma, chronic lung disease, liver disease, or gastric disease, had more negligible and transient effects on smoking behavior. CONCLUSIONS: Efforts to enhance smoking cessation in middle-aged and elderly patients with chronic diseases are crucial to improving health outcomes. The 'teachable moment' of chronic disease diagnosis should be seized to provide smoking cessation assistance to achieve the goal of healthy ageing.

RESUMO

BACKGROUND: The utility of circulating tumor DNA to monitor molecular residual disease (MRD) has been clinically confirmed to predict disease recurrence in non-small cell lung cancer (NSCLC) patients after radical resection. Patients with longitudinal undetectable MRD show a favorable prognosis and might not benefit from adjuvant therapy. PATIENTS AND METHODS: The CTONG 2201 trial is a prospective, multicenter, single-arm study (ClinicalTrials.gov identifier, NCT05457049), designed to evaluate the hypothesis that no adjuvant therapy is needed for patients with longitudinal undetectable MRD. Pathologically confirmed stage IB-IIIA NSCLC patients who have undergone radical resection will be screened. Only patients with 2 consecutive rounds of undetectable MRD will be enrolled (first at days 3-10, second at days 30 ± 7 after surgery), and admitted for imaging and MRD monitoring every 3 months without adjuvant therapy. The primary endpoint is the 2-year disease-free survival rate for those with longitudinal undetectable MRD. The recruitment phase began in August 2022 and 180 patients will be enrolled. CONCLUSIONS: This prospective trial will contribute data to confirm the negative predictive value of MRD on adjuvant therapy for NSCLC patients. CLINICAL TRIAL REGISTRATION: NCT05457049 (CTONG 2201).

RESUMO

Tree peony belongs to one of the Saxifragales families, Paeoniaceae. It is one of the most famous ornamental plants, and is also a promising woody oil plant. Although two Paeoniaceae genomes have been released, their assembly qualities are still to be improved. Additionally, more genomes from wild peonies are needed to accelerate genomic-assisted breeding. Here we assemble a high-quality and chromosome-scale 10.3-Gb genome of a wild Tibetan tree peony, Paeonia ludlowii, which features substantial sequence divergence, including around 75% specific sequences and gene-level differentials compared with other peony genomes. Our phylogenetic analyses suggest that Saxifragales and Vitales are sister taxa and, together with rosids, they are the sister taxon to asterids. The P. ludlowii genome is characterized by frequent chromosome reductions, centromere rearrangements, broadly distributed heterochromatin, and recent continuous bursts of transposable element (TE) movement in peony, although it lacks recent whole-genome duplication. These recent TE bursts appeared during the uplift and glacial period of the Qinghai-Tibet Plateau, perhaps contributing to adaptation to rapid climate changes. Further integrated analyses with methylome data revealed that genome expansion in peony might be dynamically affected by complex interactions among TE proliferation, TE removal, and DNA methylation silencing. Such interactions also impact numerous recently duplicated genes, particularly those related to oil biosynthesis and flower traits. This genome resource will not only provide the genomic basis for tree peony breeding but also shed light on the study of the evolution of huge genome structures as well as their protein-coding genes.

RESUMO

BACKGROUND: Generation Z (born 1995-2010) members are digital residents who use technology and the internet more frequently than any previous generation to learn about their health. They are increasingly moving away from conventional methods of seeking health information as technology advances quickly and becomes more widely available, resulting in a more digitalized health care system. Similar to all groups, Generation Z has specific health care requirements and preferences, and their use of technology influences how they look for health information. However, they have often been overlooked in scholarly research. OBJECTIVE: First, we aimed to identify the information-seeking preferences of older individuals and Generation Z (those between the ages of 18 and 26 years); second, we aimed to predict the effects of digital health literacy and health empowerment in both groups. We also aimed to identify factors that impact how both groups engage in digital health and remain in control of their own health. METHODS: The Health Information National Trends Survey was adopted for further use in 2022. We analyzed 1862 valid data points by conducting a survey among Chinese respondents to address the research gap. A descriptive analysis, 2-tailed t test, and multiple linear regression were applied to the results. RESULTS: When compared with previous generations, Generation Z respondents (995/1862, 53.44%) were more likely to use the internet to find out about health-related topics, whereas earlier generations relied more on traditional media and interpersonal contact. Web-based information-seeking behavior is predicted by digital health literacy (Generation Z: ß=.192, P<.001; older population: ß=.337, P<.001). While this was happening, only seeking health information from physicians positively predicted health empowerment (Generation Z: ß=.070, P=.002; older population: ß=.089, P<.001). Despite more frequent use of the internet to learn about their health, Generation Z showed lower levels of health empowerment and less desire to look for health information, overall. CONCLUSIONS: This study examined and compared the health information-seeking behaviors of Generation Z and older individuals to improve their digital health literacy and health empowerment. The 2 groups demonstrated distinct preferences regarding their choice of information sources. Health empowerment and digital health literacy were both significantly related to information-seeking behaviors.

RESUMO

With continuous global warming, growing urban population density, and increasing compactness of urban buildings, the "void deck" street canyon design has become increasingly popular in city planning, especially for urban streets located in tropical areas. Nevertheless, research on traffic pollutant dispersion in street canyons with void decks (VDs) is still at its early stage. This study quantitatively evaluates the effects of void deck height and location on the canyon ventilation and pollutant dispersion in asymmetric street canyons with void decks, and the pollutant exposure risk level for pedestrians and street dwellers. Void decks introduce more fresh air, thereby greatly improving the ventilation properties of the asymmetric canyon. The air exchange rate (ACH: 147.9%, 270.9%) and net escape velocity (NEV*: 416.7%, 915.8%) of the step-up and step-down canyons with VDs (3 m high at full scale) at both buildings are higher than those of regular asymmetric canyons. Moreover, the mean dimensionless pollutant concentration (K) on the building wall and pedestrian respiration plane in which VDs are located stands at a low level, because pollutants are removed by the airflow entering or exiting through the void decks. Increased VD height (4.5 m at full scale) enhances the strength of airflow flowing into and out of the canyon, significantly increasing ACH (177.3%, 380.9%) and NEV* (595.2%, 1268.4%) and decreasing the mean K on both pedestrian respiration planes and canyon walls. In particular, the K values on both pedestrian respiration planes and both walls are almost zero for the canyons with VDs at both buildings. Therefore, among the three VD locations, both VDs provide the best living environment for pedestrians and near-road residents. These findings can help to design urban street canyons for mitigating traffic pollution risk and improving ventilation in tropical cities.

RESUMO

BACKGROUND: Understanding factors that influence healthy or unhealthy eating can inform intervention strategies. This study ascertained whether and how unintentional exposure to food and nutrition information influenced healthy eating concerns. The study tested body comparison, body satisfaction, and body mass index as three mechanisms that potentially link food information encounter, commonly known as information scanning, to healthy eating concerns. METHODS: A sample of 440 online participants (mean age = 29.15 years) was used to investigate: (1) how unintentional exposure to food and nutrition information, i.e., information encounter (IE), affects healthy eating concerns (HEC); (2) how the effect of IE on HEC is mediated by body comparison (BC); (3) how the paths of the mediation model are moderated by body satisfaction (BS) or body mass index (BMI). RESULTS: The findings show a positive and sizable total effect of IE on HEC - a whole-scale increase in information encounter is associated with a substantial increase in healthy eating concerns by 15 percentage points (bp = 0.150). BC is found to mediate the effect of IE on HEC in an all-positive complementary mediation. Both the indirect and the direct-and-remainder paths show sizable effects. The mediated path contributes about 20% of the total effect between IE and HEC (cp = 20%), while the direct-and-remainder path contributes the rest (cp = 80%). BS was found to moderate the relationship between IE and BC, the first leg of the mediation. The moderation effect is large - the effect of IE on BC is much smaller on the highly and the moderately satisfied than on the lowly satisfied (slope differential bp = -.60). BMI was found to moderate the direct-and-remainder effect of IE on HEC, controlling BC. That is, the effect of IE on HEC, after filtering out the mediated effect through BC, is much larger for those with high or low BMI than those with healthy BMI (slope differential bp = .32). CONCLUSIONS: Exposure, even if unintentional, to food and nutrition information is an important predictor of HEC. BC, BS, and BMI are important factors that help to explain the process through which information affects behaviors.

RESUMO

Slow blood flow or no reflow following percutaneous coronary intervention (PCI) in patients with acute ST-segment elevation myocardial infarction (STEMI) typically leads to an adverse prognosis. However, it is controversial whether to use prourokinase (Pro-UK) during PCI in patients with acute STEMI. The present meta-analysis compared the efficacy and safety of intracoronary Pro-UK administration in patients with acute STEMI. Published randomized controlled trials (RCTs) were analyzed to compare Pro-UK with non-Pro-UK treatment in patients with acute STEMI. PubMed, Cochrane Library and China National Knowledge Infrastructure were searched and meta-analysis was performed using Review Manager 5.3 software. A total of 13 RCTs were selected and 1,797 patients were considered in the meta-analysis, including 897 patients who received Pro-UK intervention and 900 patients who were in the control group. No significant heterogeneity was identified across these selected studies. Pro-UK therapy significantly decreased the incidence of major adverse cardiac events [risk ratio (RR), 0.68; 95% CI, 0.56-0.82, P<0.0001], left ventricular end-diastolic diameter [standardized mean difference (SMD), -0.26; 95% CI, -0.40 - -0.12; P=0.0003], corrected thrombolysis in myocardial infarction (TIMI) frame count [SMD, -0.45; 95% CI, -0.62 - -0.28; P<0.00001] and cardiac troponin I [SMD, -0.31; 95% CI, -0.46 - -0.17; P<0.0001]. In addition, Pro-UK administration increased TIMI grade 3 flow (RR, 1.16; 95% CI, 1.07-1.25; P=0.0003), TIMI myocardial perfusion grade 3 (RR: 1.39, 95% CI: 1.12-1.74, P=0.004), ST-segment resolution (RR, 1.23; 95% CI, 1.10-1.36; P=0.0002) and left ventricular ejection fraction (SMD, 0.38; 95% CI, 0.27-0.49; P<0.00001). No significant difference was identified in bleeding (RR, 1.12; 95% CI, 0.85-1.47; P=0.41). The present meta-analysis determined that intracoronary Pro-UK administration is efficacious and safe to decrease slow blood flow or no reflow phenomena following PCI and improve the prognosis of patients with acute STEMI.

RESUMO

With the development of modern sequencing techniques and bioinformatics, genomes that were once thought to be noncoding have been found to encode abundant functional micropeptides (miPs), a kind of small polypeptides. Although miPs are difficult to analyze and identify, a number of studies have begun to focus on them. More and more miPs have been revealed as essential for energy metabolism homeostasis, immune regulation, and tumor growth and development. Many reports have shown that miPs are especially essential for regulating glucose and lipid metabolism and regulating mitochondrial function. MiPs are also involved in the progression of related diseases. This paper reviews the sources and identification of miPs, as well as the functional significance of miPs for metabolism-related diseases, with the aim of revealing their potential clinical applications.

RESUMO

Clear cell renal cell carcinoma is a common malignant tumor of the urinary system. The mechanism of its occurrence and development is unknown, and there is currently few effective comprehensive predictive markers for prognosis and treatment response. With the discovery of a new cell death process - cuproptosis drew the attention of researchers. We constructed a model for the prediction of clinical prognosis and immunotherapy response through integrative analysis of gene expression datasets from KIRC samples in The Cancer Genome Atlas (TCGA) database. During the course of the study, we found that cuproptosis genes are significantly differentially expressed between clear cell renal cell carcinoma samples and normal samples. Based on this, we put forward the prognostic model for cuproptosis gene related-long non-coding RNA. And through various statistic and external independent cohorts, we proved that the model is accurate and stable, worthy of clinical application and further exploration and validation.

RESUMO

Background: The city-wide COVID-19 lockdown has resulted in psychological anguish, which may have an impact on dietary consumption. This study's dual goals are to show how Chinese food consumption was altered before and after the lockdown, and to examine the nutrient density for the psychologically affected group. Methods: A cross-sectional study involving 652 people from Mainland China, Taiwan, and Macao was conducted with the aid of a web-based questionnaire. Sociodemographic characteristics, related environmental factors, nutrient consumption, food recommendations, and psychological distress were all measured. 516 trustworthy data revealed that two nutrient-poor foods were consumed less frequently during the lockdown than they were before to the COVID-19 outbreak (i.e., salty snacks and alcoholic beverages). People who endured high levels of psychological distress in particular tended to consume more. Particularly, those who experienced high levels of psychological distress had a tendency to consume far more alcohol than people who only experienced low levels of stress. Comparing the time before the COVID-19 to the present, there has statistically been an increase in the frequency of family members recommending diets. According to research, by food advice, individuals who experience psychological distress should consume more nutrient-dense foods (78.7%) than nutrient-poor ones (61.9%). Thus, food advice plays a role in mediating the relationship between psychological distress and dietary decisions for nutrient-rich (b = 0.186, p < 0.001) or nutrient-poor (b = 0.187, p < 0.001) food groups. This study provides insights for lowering psychological distress through dietary consumption, where the exact mechanisms underlying these connections have not been thoroughly elucidated. It encourages nutrition research by recommending practical nutrition education from family and environmental activities. Chronic psychological anguish may have a crucial relationship to secure access to food and a balanced diet. Along with nutrition instruction, it is critical to develop skills in interventions such as food procurement and culinary knowledge.

RESUMO

The COVID-19 pandemic has caused a global public health emergency, increasing the prevalence of emotional distress, and potentially leading to altered diet behavior. Self-efficacy measures various aspects of perceiving and understanding emotions. The present study was carried out with the objective of understanding the effect of emotional self-efficacy on dietary behavior and quality. It also shed light on which elements contributed to the link between food-related behavior and perceived dietary quality during the first lockdown of the COVID-19 pandemic. Based on the factor analysis of nineteen food groups, choices, consumption, and socioeconomic status were examined in a sample of 441 Chinese participants. Multiple linear regression examined the association between food consumption, dietary quality, and self-efficacy. Contrary to prior research, the intake of salty snacks and alcoholic beverages dropped by 3.3% and 2.8%, respectively, during the first lockdown. Emotional self-efficacy negatively mediated the relationship between socioeconomic status and dietary quality. In conclusion, emotional self-efficacy is a well-established tool for evaluating how Chinese people cope with negative emotions. As an individual's dietary quality was affected during the imposed lockdown, the present study offers valuable insight into psychosocial factors that may contribute to health disparities by advocating for organized nutritional support in future epidemic-related quarantines.

RESUMO

Size control of supported Pd-based intermetallic nanoparticles (i-NPs) remains a major challenge because the required high-temperature annealing for atomic diffusion and ordering easily causes metal sintering. Here, we described a pentacoordinate Al3+ site (Al3+penta) anchoring approach for the preparation of Pd-based i-NPs with controlled size, which takes advantage of the strong chemical interaction between Al3+penta sites and Pd-based i-NPs to realize size control. We synthesized six types of Pd-based i-NPs, and four of them can remain an average particle size of <6 nm. Furthermore, one of our prepared Pd-based i-NPs (that is, Pd3Pb) demonstrated outstanding performance in catalyzing the semihydrogenation of phenylacetylene.

RESUMO

Lymphoma is accompanied by the impairment of multiple immune functions. Cytokines play an important role in a variety of immune-related functions and affect the tumor microenvironment. However, the exact regulatory mechanisms between them remain unclear. This study aimed to explore the cytokines expression and function in Hodgkin's lymphoma (HL), diffuse large B-cell lymphoma (DLBCL), and mantle cell lymphoma (MCL). We performed a transcriptome integration analysis of 14 lymphoma datasets including 240 Hodgkin's lymphoma, 891 diffuse large B-cell lymphoma, 216 mantle cell lymphoma, and 64 health samples. The results showed that multiple immune functions and signal pathway damage were shared by all three types of lymphoma, and these functions were related to cytokines. Furthermore, through co-expression network and functional interaction network analysis, we identified CXCL14 as a key regulator and it affects cell chemotaxis and migration functions. The functional experiment showed that CXCL14 knockdown inhibited cell migration in MCL cell lines. This study suggested that high expression of CXCL14 may aggravate MCL via promoting cell migration. Our findings provide novel insights into the biology of this disease and would be helpful for the pathogenesis study and drug discovery of lymphomas.

RESUMO

Potato is the most widely produced tuber crop worldwide. However, reconstructing the four haplotypes of its autotetraploid genome remained an unsolved challenge. Here, we report the 3.1 Gb haplotype-resolved (at 99.6% precision), chromosome-scale assembly of the potato cultivar 'Otava' based on high-quality long reads, single-cell sequencing of 717 pollen genomes and Hi-C data. Unexpectedly, ~50% of the genome was identical-by-descent due to recent inbreeding, which was contrasted by highly abundant structural rearrangements involving ~20% of the genome. Among 38,214 genes, only 54% were present in all four haplotypes with an average of 3.2 copies per gene. Taking the leaf transcriptome as an example, 11% of the genes were differently expressed in at least one haplotype, where 25% of them were likely regulated through allele-specific DNA methylation. Our work sheds light on the recent breeding history of potato, the functional organization of its tetraploid genome and has the potential to strengthen the future of genomics-assisted breeding.

RESUMO

Cement kiln collaborative disposal technology can not only dispose of hazardous waste but also provide energy for the cement industry. However, the addition of hazardous waste may promote the formation of dioxins in cement kilns. In this study, typical hazardous solid wastes, such as solidified fly ash, electroplating sludge, and industrial residue, were co-processed in a cement kiln with different feeding positions and different feeding amounts. The concentrations of dioxins in the flue gas, clinker, and precalciner furnace slag were investigated. The effect of adding mixed hazardous solid waste on the formation of dioxin was also studied. The results showed that the concentration of dioxin in the flue gas without added hazardous waste was 1.57 ng/m3, and the concentration varied from 1.03 to 6.49 ng/m3 after the addition of hazardous waste. In addition, the concentration of dioxin in the flue gas and solid samples increased substantially when the co-processing ratio doubled. The large amount of Cu in solidified fly ash promoted the formation of dioxins, while the higher S content in the electroplating sludge suppressed the formation of dioxins. Compared with the addition of single hazardous waste, the concentration of dioxin in precalciner furnace slag increases by about 300%. Furthermore, the distributions of isomers in the clinker and precalciner furnace slag were similar. 1,2,3,4,6,7,8-HpCDD and OCDD accounted for a large proportion of the mass concentration, and the contribution rate ranged from 48.7 to 82.0%. Most importantly, correlation analysis showed that the concentration of dioxin was closely related to the copper content, hazardous waste types and additive proportion, with correlation coefficients of 0.79, 0.83, and 0.89, respectively. RESUMO

OBJECTIVE: To enhance and analyze the clinical effectiveness of implementing quality nursing interventions in the clinical care of critically ill patients in respiratory medicine. METHODS: Clinical data of respiratory medicine patients treated in our hospital over the years were collected and 96 patients who met the requirements of the purpose of this study and the sample inclusion criteria were selected as the study subjects from the patients treated between April 2019 and January 2020. According to the care methods received by the patients in our hospital, 48 of them who implemented conventional care were used as the control group, and another 48 patients who were given quality care interventions were used as the observation group. The data were statistically recorded and comparatively analyzed for the indicators such as nursing oxygen index, heart rate, and clinical treatment efficiency of patients in both groups. RESULTS: Compared with the control group, patients in the observation group who received quality nursing intervention had more significant improvement in blood oxygen index and heart rate after nursing care; the clinical treatment efficiency of patients in the observation group was significantly higher than that of the control group (95.83% vs. 81.25%). The data comparison between the groups showed a significant difference, P < 0.05, which was statistically significant. CONCLUSION: Adding quality nursing interventions to the implementation of conventional care for patients with respiratory diseases can better improve patients' clinical symptoms, accelerate their clinical recovery, improve and enhance prognosis, and further improve clinical outcomes.
