RESUMO
Con el propósito de analizar el resultado estético obtenido con la técnica novedosa de otoplastia de los autores, se realiza un estudio descriptivo en 70 pacientes que acudieron al Servicio de Cirugía Plástica y Caumatología del Hospital General Docente Octavio de la Concepción y la Pedraja de Baracoa, en un período de 8 años, desde marzo de 2004 hasta marzo de 2012. La información se obtiene de la historia clínica y de un formulario. Se alerta a la necesidad del raspado del pericondrio en la cara anterior de la oreja para la formación del antehélix; en la rotación y anclaje de la concha mediante suturas permanentes con la resección del músculo auricular posterior, sin resecciones reductoras del cartílago, para el tratamiento de la concha; y en la cicatriz oculta en el surco retroauricular. La mayor incidencia se manifiesta en el grupo de 15 a 24 años. El sexo que prevalece es el masculino con buen resultado estético de forma general y sin complicaciones. In order to analyze the aesthetic result obtained with the novel technique of otoplasty developed by authors, a descriptive study was performed on 70 patients who were attended in the Department of Plastic Surgery at the General Teaching Hospital Octavio de la Concepción y La Pedraja Baracoa, during eight years, from March 2004 to March 2012. The information is obtained from medical records and a form. It was important to scrap the perichondrium on the anterior aspect of the ear for the formation of anthelix, rotation and anchorage in the previous turbinates by means of permanent sutures with the posterior auricular muscle resection without reducing cartilage resections for treatment of the turbinate, and the scar was hidden in the retro auricular groove. The highest incidence occurred in the age group 15 to 24 years. The male Sex was the most important with good aesthetic results and without complications.
