Nitrogen-doped biochar as peroxymonosulfate activator to degrade 2,4-dichlorophenol: Preparation, properties and structure-activity relationship.

Nitrogen-doped biochar (NCMs) has shown great potential as metal-free catalysts for persulfates. To understand the evolution law of properties of NCMs with preparation conditions, eleven NCMs were prepared and characterized by EA, BET, Raman, XPS, and conductivity. Surface area and conductivity can be improved by higher pyrolysis temperature and longer retention time. Distribution of nitrogen species of NCMs was greatly influenced by pyrolysis temperature. Subsequently, these NCMs were applied to activate peroxymonosulfate to degrade 2,4-dichlorophenol. A linear correlation of the initial apparent degradation rate constant (kobs) of 2,4-dichlorophenol with conductivity and ratio of graphitic N was newly established, revealing that conductivity and graphitic N of NCMs would be the key property deciding degradation efficiency of 2,4-dichlorophenol. Positive effect of conductivity can be ascribed to the mediated electron-transfer mechanism. Electron-transfer mechanism is also proved by quenching experiments and solvent deuterium isotope effect experiment. Graphitic N would be the main active site for PMS activation. Understanding the evolvement rule of properties of NCMs with preparation conditions combined with the correlations between reactivity and properties of NCMs is meaningful for preparation of nitrogen-doped biochar as well as the development of carbonaceous materials with high performance in persulfates-based advanced oxidation processes.

Pyroptosis of syncytia formed by fusion of SARS-CoV-2 Spike and ACE2 expressing cells

SARS-Cov-2 infected cells fused with the ACE2-positive neighboring cells forming syncytia. However, the effect of syncytia in disease development is largely unknown. We established an in vitro cell-cell fusion system and used it to mimic the fusion of SARS-CoV-2 infected cells with ACE2-expressing cells to form syncytia. We found that Caspase-9 was activated after syncytia formation, and Caspase-3/7 was activated downstream of Caspase-9, but it triggered GSDME-dependent pyroptosis rather than apoptosis. What is more, single cell RNA-sequencing data showed that both ACE2 and GSDME were expression in alveolar type 2 cells in human lung. We propose that pyroptosis is the fate of syncytia formed by SARS-CoV-2 infected host cells and ACE2-positive cells, which indicated that lytic death of syncytia may contribute to the excessive inflammatory responses in severe COVID-19 patients.

Analysis on Mechanical Characteristics of Lin’s Lumbar Vertebral Manipulation by Lifting-Rotating and Oblique-Pulling / 医用生物力学

Objective To study the mechanical characteristics of lumbar vertebral manipulation by lifting-rotating and oblique-pulling using multi-film pressure measurement system. Methods Twenty-one male operators were divided into groups of experts, skilled operators and beginners. Everyone completed 7 actions of Lin’s lumbar manipulation continuously, and repeated 3 times. The graphs and data were collected and processed. Results The time-force curve by the experts had regularity. The average pre-load force was (147.25±26.04) N, duration was (0.98±0.20) s, the average minimum force was (79.22±9.50) N, the maximum impact force was (706.26±56.21) N, the flip time was (0.44±0.09) s, and flip speed was (1 666.33±411.91) N/s, the impulse was (310.95±56.67) N·s. The curve graphs and the index by the skilled operators were similar to those by the experts, but the average maximum impact force was (464.51±53.49) N, which was relatively smaller. The curve graphs by the beginners could be broadly divided into three categories. Class Ⅰ was chaotic and unregulated; Class Ⅱ only had impact force and did not have pre-load force, and the maximum impact force varied in size; Class Ⅲ had both impact force and pre-load force, but the forces were relatively small and stable. Conclusions The multi-film pressure measurement system can preferably display the mechanical characteristics of manipulation by lifting-rotating and oblique-pulling, which is an ideal testing tool for quantitative research on mechanical parameters of Lin’s lumbar vertebral manipulation. The experimental results provide a scientific basis for visualization, quantification and standardization of the manipulation.

Analysis of influencing factors of portal vein tumor thrombus in primary liver cancer / 肿瘤研究与临床

Objective To investigate the influencing factors of portal vein tumor thrombus in patients with primary liver cancer(PLC).Methods A total of 483 patients with PLC in the Second People's Hospital of Fuyang from January 2012 to December 2016 were included in this retrospective study.Univariate analysis and multi-variate logistic regression analysis were employed to analyze the association between portal vein tumor thrombus and routine clinical parameters.Results The univariate analysis showed that alanine aminotransferase,aspartate aminotransferase,total bilirubin,γ-glutamyltranspeptidase,alkaline phosphatase,alpha-fetoprotein,the size and the number of tumors,ascites and center location of cancer performed a close relationship with the formation of portal vein tumor thrombus in patients with PLC,and the differences were statistically significant(P values were 0.010,0.000,0.010,0.000,0.001,0.000,0.000,0.004 and 0.010).Multivariate logistic regression analysis showed that potential significant predictors of portal vein tumor thrombus in patients with PLC were alpha-fetoprotein and ascites,and the differences were statistically significant(P values were 0.000 and 0.040).Conclusion PLC patients with high level of alpha-fetoprotein and ascites are easier to induce the formation of portal vein tumor thrombus.

Prognostic value of circulating microRNA-21 for breast cancer: a systematic review and meta-analysis.

BACKGROUND: There is an urgent need for novel noninvasive prognostic molecular tumor marker for monitoring the recurrence of breast cancer. MicroRNA-21 (miR-21) play a crucial role in the progression and aggressiveness of breast cancer, but its prognostic significance for patients with breast cancer remains inconclusive. The aim of this meta-analysis is to summarize the role of circulating miR-21 as a molecular marker in patients with breast cancer. MATERIAL AND METHODS: Eligible studies were searched from the PubMed, EMBASE and Web of Science databases. The χ2 and I2 tests were used to evaluate heterogeneity between studies. The pooled hazard ratios (HR) with 95% confidence interval (CI) were calculated by a fixed-effects model, if no heterogeneity existed. If there was heterogeneity, a random-effects model was applied. The meta-analysis was conducted using the Review Manager 5 software. RESULTS: A total of 7 articles which included 1629 cases were selected for the meta-analysis. Elevated miR-21 expression was significantly predictive of poor overall survival (HR = 1.51, 95%CI 1.15-1.98, p = 0.003). The subgroup analysis consisted of in tissue sample (HR = 1.66, 95%CI 1.03-2.67, p = 0.04) and serum sample (HR = 1.73, 95%CI 1.22-2.46, p = 0.002). The association between miR-21 expression level and lymph node metastasis was statistically significant (OR = 2.36, 95%CI 1.04-4.78, p = 0.03). CONCLUSION: Our findings suggest that the circulating miR-21 expression level can predict poor prognosis in patients with breast cancer.

"Digital characteristics of Pulling and Rotating Oblique Pulling Manipulation based on ""manipulation from hand""" / 中国组织工程研究

BACKGROUND: The researches of Pulling and Rotating Oblique Pulling Manipulation focus on clinical research and biomechanical changes of lumbar functional units, and the mechanical characteristics of manipulation are little reported.OBJECTIVE: To study the characteristics of the Pulling and Rotating Oblique Pulling Manipulation by digital method, so as to provide quantitative basis for inheritance, teaching and learning, promotion, and basic research of the manipulation.METHODS: The force-time curve and the force of the manipulators were tested and recorded with the multi-point membrane pressure measurement system. The kinetic parameters (the average load force, the average minimum force and the maximum impact force) were shown. The values of = the flip time, flip speed and impulse were measured by the test analysis system.RESULTS AND CONCLUSION: (1) The average load force was (145.86±34.80) N, duration was (1.43±0.46) s, the average minimum force was (72.24±13.87) N, the maximum impact force was (446.21±143.98) N, the flip time was (0.55±0.15) s, flip speed was (914.52±259.18) N/s, and the impulse was (256.21±82.30) N?s. (2) The rising slope of the impulse was (93.96±6.94), and the falling slope was (-82.70±26.10). (3) To conclude, the characteristics of manipulation from hand are analyzed in views of digitization, which provides an objective evaluation index for Lin's manipulation.

A study on thumb manipulative forces of cervical rotatory and local manipulation during cracking sounds / 实用医学杂志

Objective To measure the thumb manipulative forces of Lin cervical rotation manipulation during cracking sounds,and provide quantitative basis for its inheritance,teaching and learning,promotion and basic research of the manipulation.Methods The thumb manipulative force of Lin cervical rotation manipulation and traditional cervical rotation manipulation during cracking sounds were tested and recorded with a multi-film pressure measurement system.Result There was statistically significant difference between the maximum thumb manipulative force of the hand used frequently and the hand used infrequently (P ＜ 0.05).The maximum thumb manipulative force of Lin cervical rotational manipulation is lower than the traditional cervical rotation manipulation (P ＜ 0.05).Conclusion Whether inIN traditional or Lin cervical rotation manipulation,the maximum thumb manipulative force of the hand used frequently is more than the hand used infrequently.Lin cervical rotation manipulation has better ergonomic characteristics of biological engineering,safer,more low energy consumption practices.

Degranulation and anti-inflammatory effects of shikimic acid in Chaenomeles speciosa on peritoneal mast cells in rats / 中国免疫学杂志

Objective:To investigate the effect of Chaenomeles speciosa total extract shikimic acid(SA) on the degranulation of compound 48/80(C48/80) stimulated rat peritoneal mast cells and the anti-inflammatory.Methods: Qualitative analysis of shikimic acid in the total extract of Chaenomeles speciosa by high performance liquid phase;RPMC were identified by toluidine blue,immunohistochemistry and electron microscopy;CCK-8 method was used to detect the proliferation of RPMC in each concentration group.The release rate of β-hexosidase was determined by substrate method.The content of histamine in supernatant was detected by ELISA.Results: SA had no significant effect on the growth of RPMC at the concentration of 0-90 μg/ml.Compared with the positive control group,SA could effectively inhibit the release of β-hexosidase and inhibit the secretion of histamine.Conclusion: SA inhibits the release of histamine in inflammatory mediators by inhibiting the degranulation of RPMC stimulated by C48/80,and then exerts anti-inflammatory effects.

Efficacy and Safety of Combination of Yinxin Damo Injection and Low Molecular Heparin on Deep Venous Thrombosis in Orthopedics Operation: A Meta-analysis / 医药导报

Objective Evaluation of efficacy and safety of combination of Yinxin Damo injection and low molecular heparin for deep venous thrombosis (DVT) in orthopedics operation.Methods Randomized controlled trials of combination of Yinxin Damo injection and low molecular heparin intervention study of DVT in orthopedics operation were searched from the Cochrane Library,clinicaltrials,gov,PubMed,EMBASE,CNKI,Wanfang database,VIP database,and Chinese biomedical database (CBM).According to the Cochrane Handbook 5.1,Meta analysis was performed by Revman 5.3 software.Results A total of 4 studies included 358 patients.The results of Meta-analysis showed that,compared with control group,incidence of DVT was significantly reduced (P =0.01),value of D-D significantly decreased (P ＜0.000 01) and value of PT increased (P =0.04),and increased value of APTT (P =0.07) in combined group.Heterogeneous sources of PT and APTT were analyzed,and the results after excluding literature 7,as compared with the control group,APTT and PT were significantly increased in combined group (P ＜ 0.000 1).Conclusion Based on the current clinical evidence,combination of Yinxin Damo injection and low molecular heparin treatment for DVT of orthopedics operation patients is effective and safe,but there is certain heterogeneity between the studies,therefore it is necessary to design a randomized controlled trial of high quality,large scale and multicenter to research.

A novel homozygous mutation in PLA2G6 gene causes infantile neuroaxonal dystrophy in a case / 中华医学遗传学杂志

<p><b>OBJECTIVE</b>To investigate the clinical symptoms and potential mutations in the PLA2G6 gene for a child with infantile neuroaxonal dystrophy.</p><p><b>METHODS</b>Clinical data of the patient was collected. The coding regions of PLA2G6 gene was subjected to Sanger sequencing using blood DNA from the patient and her parents.</p><p><b>RESULTS</b>The patient has presented with psychomotor regression and hypotonia, followed by development of tetraparesis. A novel homozygous mutation G68A in the PLA2G6 gene was found by DNA sequencing, while her parents were both heterozygous carriers.</p><p><b>CONCLUSION</b>The psychomotor regression and tetraparesis of the patient was caused by infantile neuroaxonal dystrophy due to a novel homozygous mutation in the PLA2G6 gene, which was inherited from her parents.</p>

Seat lumbar rotation technique is a commonly used technique,and the clinician is also a kind of clinical curative effect more apparent bone-setting reduction technique.However,the power of spinning technique,direction and position selection is based on the personal experience of the clinician,the lack of a unified,standardized scientific basis for support.Now the article reviews the studies of the rotation of the seat,including lumbar anatomy,biomechanical characteristics,clicks,mechanism of action,and safety.It will provide new ideas for standardizing operations research techniques.

The Analysis Methodology for Multiple Elements in Four Herbs ofSanjie Zhentong Capsules / 世界科学技术-中医药现代化

To develop a method for the determination of 18 elements such as Pb, Cu, As, Hg, Mn, Ni, & Tl in Panax notoginseng,Bulbus fritillariae thunbergii,Coix seed, Resina draconis, and to control the contents of heavy metal elements in Sanjie Zhentong Capsule, the samples were digested by microwaves and then analyzed by appropriate determination parameters through ICP-MS, with the internal standard method to improve the matrix effect and interference. The correlation coefficientR2≥ 0.999 2. The lowest limits of quantification were from 0.002 8 to 0.54 μg·L-1. The experiments had better repeatability, while the recovery values ranged from 73.01% to 109.13%. The method is simple, accurate and high sensitive, and it can be used for the determination of rapid monitoring the multi-elements inPanax notoginseng, Bulbus fritillariae thunbergii, Coix seed,and Resina draconis.

A Clinical Study onBushen Gujing Recipe in Treating Early Diabetic Nephropathy with Yin-Yang Deficiency Syndrome / 中国中医药信息杂志

Objective To investigate the effects ofBushen Gujing Recipe in treating early diabetic nephropathy (DN).Methods Sixty patients of early DN with Yin-Yang deficiency syndrome were randomly divided into treatment group and control group, 30 cases in each group. The control group was treated with conventional western medicine treatment, and the treatment group was treated withBushen Gujing Recipe combined with the conventional therapy. The treatment course was three months. The clinical efficacy, integral of TCM syndrome, and urinary albumin excretion rate (UAER) of the two groups were compared.Results After the treatment, the integral of TCM symdrome of the treatment group was lower than control group, showed a statistically significant difference (P<0.05). The total effective rates of clinical efficacy were 81.48% (22/27) in treatment group, and 64.00% (16/25) in control group. The therapeutic effect of treatment group was better than control group (P<0.05). UAER showed a statistically significant difference between two groups (P<0.05).Conclusion Based on the western medicine treatment,Bushen Gujing Recipe can improve the symptoms of patients, alleviate the injury of kidney, and has good efficacy on DN.

Status quo research on the information literacy of the young faculties in medical Universities and corresponding promotion strategies——Based on a survey in Peking University Health Science Center / 中华医学科研管理杂志

As the new force among university faculties,the young faculties are the backbone of teaching and research activities in universities and the main information users concerned for information access.To understand the actual condition of information literacy of young faculties in Peking University Health Science Center and grasp their difficulties in getting access to information,this study analyses the information literacy of young faculties through investigating the status quo of their information capabilities,gathering their suggestions and opinions to enhance information capabilities and retrieval tests conducted among small-scale young faculties.The survey results show that 72％ of young faculties don't know or know little about the four biomedical literature retrieval databases and 47％ of them knowing nothing about CALIS.This suggests we should take measures to promote the information literacy of young faculties.

Report of a survey results of iodine deficiency disorders in Lianyungang, Jiangsu Province in 2013 / 中华地方病学杂志

Objective To investigate the current status of iodine deficiency disorders in Lianyungang,Jiangsu Province,and to evaluate the effectiveness of prevention and control measures.Methods Using population probability proportional to size sampling method (PPS),in Lianyungang City,30 townships (towns) were selected,one primary school was selected in each township (town),fifty 8-10 years old students (half male and half female,uniformly distributed in age groups) were selected in each school,and goiter was examined; one random urine sample was collected to survey the urinary iodine content; household salt sample was collected to survey the salt iodine content.At the same time,30 students from Grade 5 in each school were selected,and health education questionnaire survey was conducted.In the village where the primary school located,5 housewives were selected and a questionnaire survey was conducted; salt samples were collected and salt iodine level was tested by semi quantitative detection on site; 2-5 drinking water samples were collected and the water iodine level was determined in the village.One random urine sample from twenty pregnant women and 10 lactating women in the township (town)was selected and urinary iodine was determined.The goiter was examined by palpation; urinary iodine was detected by arsenic cerium catalytic spectrophotometry (WS/T 107-2006); salt iodine was detected by direct titration,Sichuan salt and other fortified edible salt were tested by arbitration law (GB/T 13025.7-2012); water iodine was detected by the method suitable for iodine deficiency and high iodine areas (recommended method of reference laboratory of national iodine deficiency disorders).Results One thousand and five hundred children aged 8-10 years old were examined by palpation,18 children had goiter,and the goiter rate was 1.20％ (18/1 500).One thousand and five hundred urine samples of children aged 8-10 years old were tested,and the median of urinary iodine was 239.62 μg/L.A total of 1 500 salt samples were tested; the coverage rate of iodized salt was 96.73％ (1 451/1 500); the rate of qualified iodized salt was 93.53％ (1 403/1 500); and the non-iodized salt rate was 3.27％ (49/1 500).The number of question of the questionnaire survey of health education about iodine deficiency disorders among students and housewives was 2 697,450; the number of correct answer was 2 542,410; the pass rates were 94.25％ and 91.11％,respectively.Sixty-six drinking water samples were collected,water iodine median was 13.5 μg/L.Six hundred and one,two hundred and ninety-eight urine samples of pregnant women and lactating women were monitored,and the median of urinary iodine was 176.12 and 150.03 μg/L,respectively.Conclusion The status of iodine nutrition among residents in Lianyungang City has improved,the control effect of iodine deficiency disorders is significant,and the achievements are stable.

In current health care management of floating population pregnant women, health care utilization rate does not reach the ideal level.Push service has been used as a key business in development and utilization of information resources for knowledge service institution, with initiative, customized, personalized, intelligent, dynamic and integrated characteristics.On the basis of analysis of cur-rent situation about the health care management of floating population pregnant women, the paper discussed the applications of push serv-ice.New thinking of application of push service to the health care management is put forward, The right aged women can be early linked through integrated mobile phone SMS, micro message interaction, email, channel type push and other means, and broad cover and whole course service management can be achieved, leading to the enhanced care utilization rate of floating population pregnant women.

Comparison of adverse effect between Cinepazide Maleate and low Molecular Dextran injection after digital replantation surgery / 中华显微外科杂志

Objective Comparing the clinical effect between Cinepazide Maleate and low Molecular weight Dextran,to the one which is more effective,safer and less unhealthy to patients after digital replantation.Methods From April 2010 to April 2012 in our hospital during single finger replantation patients,the observation group 120 cases of postoperative to Cinepazide Maleate injection 320mg/d intravenous drip,the control group of 120 cases treated with low Molecular Dextran 500ml/d IVGTT.Results The effective rate of observe group and control group was 96.67％ and 92.50％,respectively.The difference between the two groups was too small to have statistically significant difference (P ＞ 0.05),but the adverse effect of treatment group was only 5.8％,much lower than 14.17％ in control group however with the statistically significant difference (P ＜0.05).Conclusion Cinepazide Maleate Injection and low Molecular weight Dextran both have apparent effect in patients after digital replantation surgery.Both of them significantly improved microcirculation,enhanced the survival rate of replantation.However Cinepazide Maleate injection has fewer adverse effects,which is one of idea auxiliary medicine and deserved more extensive clinic application in currently microsurgery.

Develop of an intelligent cabinet with constant temperature and adjustable height and its application / 中国实用护理杂志

Objective To develop an intelligent cabinet with constant temperature and adjustable height,which is safer,more scientific and comfortable for heat preservation after surgical operation.Methods According to the demands of microscopic surgery we analyzed the disadvantages of existing equipment in order to seek new materials to solve the current problems.Results Using nanometer electric heating film to control temperature at 30～35 ℃ and adjust temperature in this range.Moreover debugging angle of stainless steel adjustable upholder at 0～45°.Conclusions Nanometer electric heating film is a kind of high safety,reliability and strong stability heating material and can be used for the microscopic surgery insulation.Adjustable lifting upholder makes limbs more comfortable with freely height.It shows that setting temperature at 30～31℃,angel value at 20～25°would be relatively suitable after our experiment.

Combined detection of immunobiological markers in pleural or peritoneal exudates of patients with tuberculosis and malignant tumors / 中华全科医师杂志

The levels of C-reactive protein(CRP),adenosine deaminase(ADA),total cholesterol (TC),lactate dehydrogenase(LDH),carcinoembryonic antigen(CEA),ferritin(Fer),β2-microglobulin (β2-MG),alpha-fetoprotdn(AFP),carbohydrate anfigen12-5(CA125),carbohydrate antigen19-9(CAl99),carbohydrate antigen15-3(CA153),eyfra211(CY211)and neuron specific enolase(NSE)were detected by automatic chemistry analyzer or electrogenerated chemiluminescence analyzer in pleural and peritoneal exudates from 48 cases oftuberculosis and 82 cases of malignant tumors.The levels of CRP,ADA and β2-MG in tuberculotic exudates were higher than those in malignant exudates(P<0.01).However,the levels of TC,LDH,CEA,Fer,CA153,CY211,NSE,AFP,CA125 and CA199 in malignant exudates were higher than those in tuberculotic exudates(P<0.01).Combined determination of CRP,ADA,TC,LDH,CEA,Fer,and β2-MG in pleural and peritoneal exudates are of value in differentiation of tuberculosis from malignant exudates.Combined determination of CA153.CY211 and NSE in pleural effusions and AFP,CA125 and CA199 in peritoneal effusions can improve the semitivity and specificity of diagnosis for malignant exudates.

Clinical characterization of audiometric and vestibular evoked myogenic potentials in patients with large vestibular aqueduct syndrome / 临床耳鼻咽喉头颈外科杂志

OBJECTIVE@#To investigate the clinical and diagnostic characteristics of audiometric findings and vestibular-evoked myogenic potentials in patients with large vestibular aqueduct syndrome (LVAS).@*METHOD@#Thirty LVAS subjects (60 ears) recruited received pure tone audiometry, acoustic immittance, auditory brain stem responses (ABRs), distortion-product otoacoustic emission (DPOAE), Vestibular evoked myogenic potentials (VEMP) and caloric test, and the diagnostic significance of the results was analyzed.@*RESULT@#All 30 cases (60 ears) showed progressive and fluctuating hearing loss, while 16 cases experienced dizziness when hearing fluctuated. Most of our cases showed sensorineural hearing loss, and 47 ears (94.0%) showed air-bone gap in the low frequencies, with mean gaps of (43 +/- 17) dB HL at 250 Hz, (33 +/- 18) dB HL at 500 Hz, in which the middle ear function showed normal. The acoustically evoked short latency negative response (ASNR) with medium latency (3.06 +/- 0.52) ms was elicited from 18 ears (64.3%). The mean amplitude of vestibular evoked myogenic potentials (VEMP) of 42 ears was (147.10 +/- 107.55) microv, and the threshold of VEMP of 19 ears was 75 dB nHL, of 7 ears was 65 dB nHL.@*CONCLUSION@#Characteristics of hearing performance, such as progressive and fluctuating hearing loss, air-bone gap at the low frequencies with normal middle ears, the ASNR, and increased amplitude and decreased threshold of the VEMPs, will help clinicians make initial diagnosis of LVAS, and provide a reference for further imaging examination.
