RESUMO

Results of using extracorporeal connection of the hog spleen for detoxication and correction of immune disorders in 73 patients with severe forms of hepatic insufficiency are analyzed. It was shown that extraorganic connection of the xenospleen in complex with other methods of treatment considerably improved results of the operative intervention for liver cirrhosis and obstructive jaundice. However, the results obtained were noted in patients with the I-II stages of hepatic insufficiency.

RESUMO

Alterations of histamine and serotonin levels in blood were found to depend on the duration and degree of the pathological process in the pancreas in acute pancreatitis. The effect of plasmapheresis on the content of biologically active substances in blood at different stages of the development of pancreatonecrosis was studied. It was established that plasmapheresis was an effective means to make the level of histamine and serotonin lower.

RESUMO

Results of the examination of 133 patients show sorption methods of detoxication to be effective means in the complex treatment of hepatic insufficiency. In hepatocerebral insufficiency however resulting from portal cirrhosis better results were obtained after lymphosorption. Hemosorption is indicated in cholemic intoxications as well as after liquidation of the obstruction of the common bile duct.

RESUMO

Extracorporeal perfusion of toxic blood via carbonic sorbents is an effective method for correcting severe disturbances of hemostasis. Ultrastructural alterations in hepatic cells were studied in experimental toxic liver injury before and after hemosorption. It was established that after hemosorption the processes of intracellular regeneration were significantly activated in the liver parenchyma. The number of crysts in the mitochondria increased as did the electronic density of the matrix. At the same time the number of lysosomes rose as well. However, in persistent unresolved cholestasis, destructive alterations in the hepatic tissue progressed despite the performance of hemosorption.
