RESUMO

Utilizing a two-beam technique in the frequency domain, the pumped absorption of PS II membrane fragments from spinach and of acetonic chlorophyll-a solutions was measured at room temperature. In a very narrow wavelength region (0.2 nm around the pump pulse wavelength) the relative test beam transmission exhibited either a decrease or an increase, respectively, dependent on the intensity of a strong pump beam. In contrast, the transmission changes of chl-a solutions were not affected by the wavelength mistuning between pump and test beam. The data obtained for PS II membrane fragments were interpreted in terms of excited state absorption of pigment-protein clusters within the light-harvesting complex of PS II. The interpretation of the small absorption band as a homogeneously broadened line led to a transversal relaxation time for chlorophyll in vivo of about 1 ps.

RESUMO

From numerous investigations it is known that lithium carbonate promotes granulocytopoiesis by stimulation of CSF (colony stimulating factor) in bone marrow. To prove if no immature, in their functions restricted cells are delivered from bone marrow, the activity of granulocytes was tested in vitro in patients with lithium therapy. It could be seen that granulocytes of peripheral blood show an increased in-vitro-activation after lithium influence in vivo.

RESUMO

In our investigations on rats was proofed the qualification of substances 2-Cyanoethyl Urea (CEH), Thymus-Extract and Lithium-carbonate for a potential reducing or shortening of the leucocyte-depression after whole-body irradiation. Intravenous applications of 2-Cyanoethyl Urea in Wistar rats showed no effect not only in the increase of leucocytes but also in variation in portions of leucocytes. In our investigations we could not influence radiogenic phase of leucopenia by application of CEH after 7 Gy whole-body irradiation. Intramuscular injections of thymus extract don't influence the number of leucocytes in peripheral blood in irradiated Wistar rats. The differential blood-count was uninfluenced. Increase in concentration of thymus extract and also higher frequency of the applications effect no changes in blood-count. Leucocyte depression after whole-body irradiation was independent of the application modus of thymus extract. Lithium-carbonate shows a significant increase of leucocytes in peripheral blood in dependence of dosage and frequency of application. After whole-body irradiation with 7 Gy under lithium therapy it was shown that on day 6th after irradiation leucocyte number was significantly higher than in controls. Radiogenic leucopenia phase was reduced significantly by lithium.

RESUMO

In a survey the definition of the notions insufficiency of the bone marrow, panmyelopathy, panmyelophthisis and aplastic anaemia, the subdivision into congenital and acquired forms as well as to the clinical course, the epidemiologic situation as well as the distribution according to age and sex are described. More in detail the author enters the etiological factors, in which cases the etiological classification of the individual case may be connected with considerable difficulties. Exogenic noxae are subdivided into factors dependent on dose and independent on dose as pathogenetic principles. In this connection professional noxious substances as well as unwished side-effects of medicaments are discussed more in detail. Despite all variety the possibilities of therapy are limited.
