RESUMO

The authors present an analysis of adverse climatic factors mid- and high mountains, which have a significant negative impact on fighting facility and capacity for work in military servicemen that may cause an acute mountain sickness and severe complications (high altitude pulmonary edema and high-altitude cerebral edema). Complicated mechanisms of organism disorder are shown. Sophisticated medical and tactical factors of mountain theatre of war, defining the nature of actions of troops, require special approaches to organisation of medical support. One of the major tasks of the medical service and the commanders is the timely prevention of health disorders troops in mountainous terrain.

RESUMO

During the liquidation of consequences of chemical accidents the main task is minimization o the population losses and the provision of effective medical care to. the victims. Training experience related to chemical accidents, shows the need for constant readiness of health facilities in the area of the chemical industry accommodation, planning of the medical forces and resources reserve. The most important elements of medical care in chemical accidents are affected sorting, intensive therapy and reanimation in cases of severe injuries, the organization of the observation of persons with initial minor manifestations of intoxication. Emergency assistance should be provided in full volume as soon as possible. It .is essential to provide enough oxygen and required. drugs (hormonal drugs, diuretics, antibiotics, anticonvulsants, analgesics, and others). Multistage evacuation should be excluded and should be:done the planned training within the medical service stuff with toxicological profile.

RESUMO

The article describes the way medical service dealed with problems resulted from the use of chemical weapons during the First World War (1914-1918). It was revealed that many of the abovementioned problems remain unsolved up to the present moment. It is stated the existence of the threat of use of chemical weapons in modem military conflicts, which expands the area of responsibility for medical chemical protection. The authors proved necessity and algorithm of the training system, considered as a part of medical protection in case of adverse factors of chemical nature.
