RESUMO

AIM: To determine clinicoimmunological and microbiological efficacy of ronkoleukine in the treatment of Helicobacter pylori-associated gastric ulcer (GU). MATERIAL AND METHODS: A total of 108 H. pylori-associated GU were randomized into two groups. Patients of group 2 received standard 3 or 4 component therapy including proton pump inhibitor and two antibiotics (amoxicillin and clarithromycin). Patients of group 1 received the same treatment but antibiotics were replaced for recombinant interleukine-2 ronkoleukine (Biotech, Russia) which was delivered via gastroscope and injected submucously along the periphery of the ulcer defect in 4-6 points in a dose 0.1 mg; 0.4 mg of the drug was simultaneously injected intravenously. The procedure was made 3 times with a 72 hour interval. RESULTS: One month after the treatment H. pylori eradication was 81.5 and 95.4% in groups 1 and 2, respectively. Mean duration of ulcer epithelization was 35.23 +/- 1.58 and 10.79 +/- 0.46 days, respectively. CONCLUSION: Clinically and pathogenetically sound method of H. pylori-associated GU with application of systemic and local (paraulcer) immunotropic ronkoleukine therapy is more cost and immunologically effective than standard treatment and can be used both in hospital and outpatient setting.

RESUMO

245 children aged 7-14 years with decompensated chronic tonsillitis were examined and treated in Anapa health resort. Before therapy the children had subnormal concentration of CD3+, CD4+/CD8+, elevated absolute and relative concentration of CD16+, low concentration of salivary IgA and SIgA combined with high serum IgM. The treatment brought a positive trend in the above indices, but CD16+, serum IgA and salivary SIgA remained higher than in controls. This may be explained by genetic predisposition of some children (primary defects of IgA and its secretory component synthesis), effects of autoimmune pathology, natural reaction to persistent viral infection.

RESUMO

Pathogenesis of acute neurosensory hypoacusis is considered in terms of endogenic intoxication syndrome as impaired microcirculation and development of hypoxia in the periphery of the acoustic analyser are likely consequences of this syndrome. Measurement of tumor necrosis factor alpha level in the supernatant of cultivated mononuclears from patients with acute neurosensory hypoacusis indicated more active production of this mediator compared to donors. This fact justifies further investigations of this disease pathogenesis in respect to disorders in regulation of nonspecific adaptive-compensatory mechanisms.

RESUMO

The recent data on the mechanisms of the regulation of IgE synthesis in man and homocytotropic IgE-Ab in animals are reviewed. The role of cellular and humoral antigen-specific and nonspecific factors in their synthesis, the significance of different immunomodulating factors (x-ray exposure, injection of immunomodulators, changes in erythropoiesis and so forth) in the synthesis of IgE-Ab are analyzed.

RESUMO

It has been shown in experiments on guinea-pigs sensitized with ragweed pollen (Ambrosia artemisiifolia) that dimebon (9-/2-(2-methylpyridyl-5) ethyl/3,6- dimethyl-1, 2, 3, 4-tetrahydro-gamma-carboline dihydrochloride), a new antihistaminic drug, exerts a marked antianaphylactic effect which compares very favourably with that of phencarol. When administered in the minimal effective doses, dimebon is less active than ketotifen, whereas in doses of 2.5 and 5 mg/kg it, is more effective. Marked anaphylactic activity of the drug is accounted for by its antihistaminic and antiserotonin actions. When administered intragastrically, subcutaneously and intravenously, dimebon is less toxic than phencarol (by 1.28, 1.78 and 1.43 times, respectively) and ketotifen (by 1.78, 1.68 and 5 times, respectively).

RESUMO

Allergenic active fractions of ragweed, wormwood, goosefoot and sunflower pollen with a molecular weight of 37 000, 19 000, 35 000 and 14 000, respectively, were isolated by chromatography on Sephadex. All studied allergens had similar properties: affinity to Sephadex which was more pronounced to Sephadex G-75 than to G-100; absorbing components had no activity; allergenic and antigenic activities were determined only in fractions eluted in the bed volume of the column. Affinity of the allergans to Sephadex did not depend on the eluent type, but decreased in potentiation of the buffer ionic strength.
