RESUMO

The present article demonstrates the role of reflectory-segmental effects during baro-laser therapy for the treatment of arthrosis of the knee joints in elderly patients. It has been shown that the additional treatment of the lumbosacral region while applying baro-laser therapy in the patients of the advanced age significantly enhances their functional capabilities including the increase of duration of painless walking and the reduced intensity of the pain syndrome.

RESUMO

The retrospective analysis of surgical and rehabilitation treatment of 172 patients with neurotrauma was made. The patients were treated in Russian Polenov Neurosurgical Institute and Municipal hospital of St. Elizabeth in the period since 2009 till 2012. Rehabilitation of different types of neurotrauma presented the system of surgical and recovery methods of treatment, which should be used in a short term after damage. Means of internal cerebral decompression, including drainage of ecephalocoel and cerebral basal cistern and the tentoriotomy, should be used in acute period of craniocerebral trauma according to morphometric data of beam inspection. Management of wound by means of laser or LED radiation, SHWF-therapy, magnetic and electrostimulation were the effective methods of neurorehabilitation. It is noted, that 73 (43,4%) patients returned to a former employment rate among 172 victims, though 26 patients had a moderate invalidization. An average figures of Glasgow scale outcomes were 1,9+/-0,2.

RESUMO

The objective of the present clinical and psychopathological study was to estimate the influence of high-intensity white and yellow phototherapy on the clinical condition of 41 and 18 patients respectively presenting with astheno-depressive syndrome. The control group was comprised of 42 patients who were treated by standard pharmacotherapy. Clinical observations of the patients were supplemented by the evaluation of their conditions and characteristics using the Symptom Checklist-90 questionnaire, the Bekhterev Depression Inventory, and the Beck Depression Inventory. The patients of the three groups were surveyed before and within 20 days after the initiation of the treatment. It was shown that white light phototherapy considerably reduced the severity of asthenia and depression. Yellow light phototherapy proved more efficacious in the patients with asthenia and somatovegetative dysfunctions.

RESUMO

The objective of the present neurohistological study using an experimental model of compressive-ischemic neuropathy (40 white rats) was to estimate the influence of photochromotherapy on the injured nerve filament. It was shown that light of different wavelengths had differential effect on the nerve tissue. The exposure to blue light reduced the severity of traumatic lesion as apparent from a decrease in the number of filaments undergoing degenerative changes and their enhanced argentophilia. Irradiation with red light caused a marked decrease in the degree of vacuolization with moderate argentophilia suggesting normalization of ion transport and recovery of nerve conductivity. Green light irradiation promoted remyelinization of nerve filaments (a marked increase of the number of Schwann cells).

RESUMO

Epidemiologic, etiologic and pathogenetic aspects of chronic brain ischemia are reviewed. Based on the modern conception of neuroplasticity, neuroprotection and neurogenesis, the authors substantiate the lines of pharmacotherapy. The results of the clinical study of photochromotherapy in the restorative treatment of chronic brain ischemia are presented.

RESUMO

Effects of monochrome light of the green and red spectra (mean wave length 540 and 670 nm, respectively) were studied on experimental rat model of compression-ischemic neuropathy (40 animals). The nerve under compression was exposed to green and red light using light-diode physiotherapeutic unit "Spectr-LC" with different intensity. Electromyographic parameters of the compressed nerve improved significantly after exposure to monochrome green light with intensity 500 mJ/cm2. The effect was dose dependent. Green light produced better effect.

RESUMO

Electrophoresis of 2% zinc sulfate solution and 3% sodium thiosulfate solution was used in combined treatment of intestinal dysbiosis with high Candida proliferation in 79 patients. 77 controls received standard therapy. It is shown that such electrophoresis produced positive changes in the clinical picture of the disease, significantly suppressed growth of Candida fulgi, improved function of the liver as shown by a rise in the amount of total protein and hemoglobin, lower bilirubin concentrations in the blood.

RESUMO

Rehabilitation of 39 patients with osteoarthrosis deformans (OD) consisted of transcranial electrostimulation (TCES) which was performed by means of Transair unit generating impulse current (77 Hz, frontal-retroauricular electrodes position). There was a positive trend in clinical indices, pain intensity, skin temperature. TCES mechanism of action involves stimulation of endorphine brain structures which elevates blood levels of beta-endorphines.

RESUMO

Numerous observations and examinations led the authors to the conclusion on high therapeutic effectiveness of combined physiotherapy in peptic ulcer. Oral administration and electrophoresis of peloidin are beneficial in the lesions of the gastric and duodenal mucosa. Plants infusions per os combined with the exposure to sinusoidal modulated currents can be recommended in the disease aggravations, scarry ulcerative deformities.
