BACKGROUND: Restoring the mandibular anterior teeth by implants can be difficult due to potential complications arising from using prosthetic implant connections that are larger than the incisors at the cementoenamel junction level. METHODS: This retrospective study is aimed at determining the survival and esthetic outcomes of anterior mandible implants immediately placed and restored in patients diagnosed with stages 3-4 periodontitis. The study included 75 implants that were inserted along with guided bone regeneration in 42 patients. Over a follow-up period of 3 to 8 years (mean of 6.95 ± 1.78 years), the study evaluated esthetic, marginal bone loss (MBL), and biological and prosthetic complications. RESULTS: No failures were recorded during the follow-up period; after eight years, the survival rate was 100%. Patient's age and gender did not have a statistically significant impact on MBL, but smokers had a greater MBL than non-smokers at the 8-year (2.98 mm vs. 1.23 mm, respectively, p = 0.016) time-point. At 3 years, only 13.3% of the implants had mesial papillae, 36.0% had distal papillae, and 16.0% had the cervical metallic part of the abutment exposed. Peri-implantitis was diagnosed in 20.7% of the patients at the 8-year follow-up time. CONCLUSIONS: Based on the limitations of this study, immediate placement and restoration of the mandibular incisors can be a feasible procedure, but only a few implants achieved the complete restoration of the papillae.

PURPOSE: The growing demand for implants has led to their implementation by general dental practitioners (GDPs) in clinical practice. The present study assessed referral patterns of GDPs for the surgical phase of implant dental treatment. MATERIALS AND METHODS: One hundred fifty GDPs were asked to fill out a structured questionnaire containing their demographic data and answer six questions characterising their referral patterns for implant dentistry. RESULTS: Forty-one (41%) percent performed the surgical phase, and 87% provided implant restoration. Gender was the only influencing factor for the surgical phase, as 51.4% of male GDPs and 6.5% of female GDPs performed implant surgery themselves. Experience and practice set-up did not influence the referring decision. Fifty-four percent of the practitioners referred 0 to 5 patients per month, and the chosen specialists were: 80% oral and maxillofacial surgeon, 11% periodontist, and 9% selected a specialist depending on the individual case. The major reasons influencing the referral pattern were the complexity of the surgical procedure, followed by systemic medical compromise of the patient. CONCLUSIONS: Most implant surgeries in Israel are still performed by specialists.

Purpose: To evaluate differences in the temperature rise at the cervical area of one-piece vs two-piece implants during the setting of relined provisional crowns. Materials and Methods: A K-type thermocouple was fixed to the coronal thread of 15 one-piece implants and 15 two-piece implants that were mounted on a plexiglass apparatus. Baseline temperature (Bl Temp) was recorded before starting the curing process. The maximum temperature (Max Temp) reached during the process in both implant groups was also recorded. Total heat flux (THF) was calculated as well as the thermal amplitude (Temp-Amp) at the implant surface. Finally, the differences between the implant types were compared using unpaired t test. Results: The increase in temperature from baseline was statistically significantly greater in the one-piece implants than in the two-piece implants (P < .01). Similarly, the THF and Temp-Amp were significantly greater in the one-piece implants compared to two-piece implants (P < .01). Conclusions: The polymerization of PMMA-based resin temporary crowns produces a significant temperature rise in both one-piece and two-piece implants. It is advisable to use two-piece implants to restore immediately loaded implants to reduce the risk to implant surroundings that may occur due to the temperature rise at the implant neck.

OBJECTIVES: Work in animal models has implicated excessive occlusal forces and occlusal trauma as co-destructive factors for periodontitis. The main aim of the present study was to make a radiographic assessment of the effects of excessive occlusal forces, ie occlusal/incisal tooth wear, widening of the periodontal space, and the presence of a mandibular torus, on interproximal marginal bone loss in a large series of patients. A secondary aim was to evaluate the statistical correlation between the parameters in two specific teeth and those of 12 teeth for marginal bone loss and six teeth for occlusal/incisal tooth wear within the same individual. METHOD AND MATERIALS: A total of 1,950 full-mouth radiographic surveys were analyzed retrospectively. Interproximal marginal bone loss was quantified relative to the root length (Schei ruler technique). In addition, occlusal/incisal tooth wear and periodontal ligament space widening of the periodontal space were assessed, as well as the presence of a mandibular torus. Odds ratio and logistic regression analysis were used to determine the association between occlusal trauma and marginal bone loss. RESULTS: The correlation of the measured parameters between the values for specific teeth and the whole dentition was evaluated from data from the first 400 radiographs. Teeth 41 and 33 showed the best correlation to the whole dentition: 0.85 for interproximal marginal bone loss, 0.83 for widening of the periodontal space, and 0.97 for occlusal/incisal tooth wear. The results of a logistic regression analysis with age as an independent variable, revealed a significant association between bone loss and both tooth wear (odds ratio = 2.767) and bone loss and widening of the periodontal space (odds ratio = 2.585). CONCLUSION: Tooth wear was positively correlated to both widening of the periodontal space and marginal bone loss. No correlation was found between the presence of a mandibular torus and marginal bone loss.

BACKGROUND: Anticoagulants (AC) are among the most often prescribed drugs in the world. Data regarding ACs' effect on the osseointegration of dental implants is lacking. PURPOSE: The aim of the present retrospective cohort study was to evaluate the effect of anticoagulants (AC) on early implant failure (EIF). The null hypothesis was that the use of AC increases the incidence of EIF. MATERIALS AND METHODS: The research included 687 patients who underwent 2971 dental implant placements in the department of oral and maxillofacial surgery in Rabin medical center, Beilinson hospital, by specialists in oral and maxillofacial surgery. The study group comprised 173 (25.2%) patients and 708 (23.8%) implants using AC. The rest of the cohort served as a control. A structured form was used to collect data at patient and implant level. EIF was defined as implant failure within a period of up to 12 months from loading. EIF was the primary outcome parameter. A logistic regression model was used to predict EIF. RESULTS: Implants placed in individuals ≥ 80 (odds ratio (OR) = 0.34, p = 0.05), and ASA 2/3 vs. ASA 1 individuals (OR = 0.30, p = 0.02/OR = 0.33, p = 0.03, respectively) had decreased odds of EIF, and implants in those using anticoagulants (OR = 2.64, p = 0.01) had increased odds of EIF. At the patient level, the odds of EIF in ASA 3 (OR = 0.53, p = 0.02) and IHD (OR = 0.40, p = 0.02) individuals decreased. In AF/VF (OR = 2.95, p = 0.01) individuals, EIF odds increased. CONCLUSIONS: Within the limitations of the present study, the use of AC is significantly associated with an increased likelihood of EIF: the OR was 2.64. Future research is required to validate and examine the prospective impact of AC on the osseointegration phenomena.

INTRODUCTION: Dental implant placement is a routine practice in dentistry, with a possible uncommon risk of neurosensory injury. The present study analyzed all dental implant claims involving sensory nerve disturbances between 2005 and 2020 in Israel. The study was conducted to understand implant risk management better and improve the patient's safety. MATERIALS AND METHODS: All legal claims registered by Medical Consultant International (MCI) involving nerve damage claims between 2005 and 2020 were included in the study. The data included demographic details such as age, sex, event date, claim delivery date, and treatment settings. Information on the nerve damage included the damaged nerve, side of injury, and the number of implants performed in the same surgery. RESULTS: There were 218 claims regarding nerve damage out of 1154 claims for dental implant therapy. The mean age for nerve damage claims was 54.1 ± 11 years. There were more female than male claims (p = 0.02), with 87% of cases concerning damage to the inferior alveolar nerve (p < 0.0001), out of those molar areas being more frequently involved in nerve damage (64.3%, p < 0.0001). The left side was 1.4 times more frequent than the right side (p = 0.043). The risk for nerve injury was 7.4 times higher when placing multiple implants compared to single dental implant (p < 0.0001). CONCLUSIONS: Clinicians should be aware that placement of multiple implants, left-side implant placement, and patient gender may increase risk for a malpractice claim for neurosensory disturbances.

Over recent years, the usage of autologous platelet concentrates (APCs) has risen in hard tissue regeneration and oral implantology. The purpose of the present review is to offer an overview of the use of three APC techniques in dentistry: platelet-rich plasma (PRP), platelet-rich fibrin (PRF), and concentrated growth factor (CGF). A narrative summary of articles published between January 2011 and April 2022 is provided. The PubMed, Cochrane Library, Scopus, and Embase databases were used to conduct the search. The following keywords were used in the preliminary: "VEGF", "TGF-b1", "PRP", "PRF", "CGF", AND "sinus augmentation" OR "implants" OR "peri-implantitis" OR "socket preservation" OR "MRONJ". A total of 82 articles was finally included. The review then takes into account the application of the three techniques in different areas of treatment-including oral implantology, sinus floor elevation, peri-implantitis, socket preservation, and medication-related osteonecrosis of the jaw (MRONJ)-as well as their advantages and disadvantages.

Background: Conflicting results were found regarding the effect of corticosteroid (CS) administration upon wound healing. The objective of this pilot study was to evaluate the impact of CS administration at different time points on palatal wound healing in rats. Methods: A 4.2 mm diameter punch created a secondary healing excisional palatal defect in thirty-six (36) Wistar-derived, two-month-old male rats weighing 250-270 g. We evaluated the effect of CS by comparing wound healing between three equal groups: 12 rats who were not exposed to CS and two additional groups in which 1 mg/kg dexamethasone (1 mg/kg) was administered daily, early (1-4 days) and late (5-9 days) after injury. The dynamics of the healing process were evaluated weekly in 4 sacrificed rats from each group for three weeks. The wound area was assessed both macroscopically and microscopically; the inflammation score was assessed microscopically. Results: The initial wound area in all the rats was 13.85 mm2. At the end of the study, it decreased to 4.11 ± 0.88 mm2, 7.32 ± 2.11 mm2, and 8.87 ± 3.01 mm2 in control, early, and late CS administration groups, respectively (p = 0.075). Inflammation scores showed a tendency to decrease in the third week in all groups, with no statistical differences. Conclusions: Our findings do not support the positive impact of CS administration on palatal wound healing. While microscopically, we found no difference between the CS and control groups, CS exposure was associated with a macroscopically larger final wound area, reflecting a possible harmful effect of CS.

BACKGROUND: Implant neck characteristics may affect initial implant stability, soft tissue healing, and early marginal bone loss (EMBL) at second-stage surgery. The null hypothesis was that, following two-stage implant insertion, rough surface, non-screw-type collar implants will present lower EMBL at 2nd-stage surgery than rough-surface, screw-type collar implants. METHODS: The study comprised seven male beagle dogs (mean weight 10.57 ± 2.8 kg; range 9-17 kg). A novel implant design was developed, composed of 2 parts: an apical part resembling a regular threaded implant, and a coronal non-screw-type collar, 4.2 mm long, served as the study group, whereas standard threaded implants served as control. Twenty-eight implants were placed: two on each side of the mandible. All implants were sand-blasted/acid-etched and of similar dimensions. Each dog received four implants. To assess location (anterior vs. posterior) impact on the outcomes, implants were placed as follows: group I-posterior mandible right-non-screw-type collar implants; group II-anterior mandible right-similar non-screw-type collar implants. To assess the collar-design effect on the outcomes, implants were placed as follows-Group III-anterior mandible left-control group, screw-type collar implants; Group IV-study group, posterior mandible left-non-screw-type collar implants. The following parameters were measured and recorded: insertion torque, soft tissue healing, early implant failure, and EMBL at 2nd-stage surgery. RESULTS: No statistically significant differences were noted between groups I and II regarding all outcome parameters. At the same time, although insertion torque (55 N/cm) and early implant failure (0) were similar between groups III and IV, group III presented significantly poorer soft tissue healing (1.43 vs. 0.14) and increased marginal bone loss (0.86 vs. 0 mm). CONCLUSIONS: When a two-stage implant protocol was used, rough-surface non-screw-type collar implants led to superior outcomes at 2nd-stage surgery. Implant location did not affect the results. The significance of this result in preventing EMBL awaits further research.

Objective: This study compared dental, periodontal, oral, and joint/muscle tenderness among Israeli combat-induced post-traumatic stress disorder (Ci-PTSD) war veterans to non-PTSD patients. Study design: This retrospective three-arm study compared oral and facial manifestations between 100 Israeli veterans with Ci- PTSD (study group) and 103 non-PTSD periodontal patients (Control group). The study group was further divided into two subgroups of individuals who received psychiatric medications (40 patients) or did not (60 patients). All patients underwent complete dental, oral, and periodontal examinations, including assessing signs of parafunction. Results: All PTSD patients had poor oral hygiene. The plaque index (PI) was higher in the PTSD group compared to the control group (0.72 ± 0.28 vs. 0.45 ± 0.29, respectively, p < 0.001). The decayed, missing, and filled teeth score (DMFt) was higher in the PTSD population than in the controls (19.97 ± 8.07 vs. 13.05 ± 6.23 p < 0.05). Severe periodontal disease was more common among the PTSD subgroup taking medications (med -group) (62.5%) compared to the nonmedicated group (non-med group) (30.0%) and the controls (27.2%) (p = 0.001). Heavy smoking was more prevalent in the medicated PTSD patients than in other groups. Conclusions: The present study shows higher morbidities in combat-induced PTSD patients, including oral, dental, and periodontal manifestations, especially in medicated patients.

BACKGROUND: All-on-four protocols with tilted implants in the maxilla are used to rehabilitate the terminal dentition of the severe generalized periodontitis patients. Data on long-term biological complications are scarce. METHODS: Eighty-four axial and forty-six tilted immediate implants have been placed in the extraction sockets of 23 patients according to a four-six implants protocol combined with ridge augmentation. Within 72 h, a provisional prosthesis was cemented to the implants; after 6 months, a cemented ceramic-metallic prosthesis was delivered. The patients were followed for up to 5 years. RESULTS: The 5-year survival rate of the straight and tilted implants was 100% and 97.8, and the prosthetic one was 100%. Marginal bone loss (MBL) of the straight implants was 0.42 ± 0.67 and 0.59 ±1.01 mm on the mesial and distal sides; for the tilted, it was 0.37 ± 0.68 and 0.34 ±0.62 mm, and the differences were not statistically significant. Implant position, smoking, keratinized mucosal width, and cantilever did not affect MBL. Peri-implant mucositis involved 29.4% and 22.2% of the straight and tilted implants, respectively; peri-implantitis involved 5.8% and 4.4% of the straight and tilted implants, respectively, without statistical significance. CONCLUSIONS: This immediate loading protocol's 5-year survival and success rates were high. No difference between the straight and tilted implants was found regarding survival, success rates, and MBL.

OBJECTIVES: To evaluate the adjunctive effect of a thermosensitive gel formulation that contains 0.8% oligo hyaluronic acid (HA) combined with a preservation system of octenidine HCl 0.625% and phenoxyethanol to scaling and root planing (SRP) as compared with SRP alone in the treatment of residual pockets of patients with stage 3 periodontitis. MATERIALS AND METHODS: Thirty-four patients (21 males and 13 females) aged 29-78 years (51.3 ± 13.1) with stage 3 periodontitis were recruited to participate in the present split-mouth study. None of the patients has been previously treated for periodontitis. Plaque index (PI), probing depth (PD), clinical attachment level (CAL), and bleeding on probing (BOP) were evaluated at baseline and at 3 and 6 months post treatment. Full-mouth SRP was performed in all residual pockets ≥ 5 mm. Treatment was performed by means of ultrasonic and hand instruments and lasted 45-60 min. The gel was applied subgingivally in the test sites immediately after SRP (baseline) and 1 month later. The paired t-test for two means was applied to test the statistical significance of the change from baseline within each arm and determine the difference between groups. The level of significance was set at 0.05 for all tests. RESULTS: Mean PD reductions between baseline and 3 and 6 months were 1.98 mm and 2.79 mm for the test and 1.22 mm and 1.50 mm for the control group, respectively. Comparisons between the test and control groups revealed that SRP + gel yielded statistically significantly higher PD reductions compared to SRP alone (p < 0.0001). Compared to baseline, CAL and BOP values improved statistically significantly in both groups, although the test group presented statistically significantly higher CAL gains and BOP reductions than the control group (P < 0.0001). CONCLUSION: In residual pockets of stage 3 periodontitis patients, the local application of a thermosensitive gel with an active HA ingredient and a preservation system of octenidine HCl 0.625% in conjunction with SRP may additionally improve the clinical outcomes obtained with SRP alone. CLINICAL RELEVANCE: A novel HA and octenidine containing thermosensitive gel effectively improved the clinical parameters in stage 3 periodontitis patients over a 6-month period.

(1) Background: To assess the clinical outcome of coronally advanced flap combined with connective tissue graft for the treatment of orthodontic-associated Miller Class III gingival recession of the lower incisors. (2) Methods: This study included 15 patients who had undergone orthodontic treatment prior to development of recession. Measurements of recession depth, recession width, probing depth, and width of keratinized tissue were performed clinically immediately before surgery and after one year. In addition, digital measurements of recession depth, recession width, and root coverage esthetic score were performed on intraoral photographs. (3) Results: Significant reduction was observed for probing depth, recession depth, and recession width at one year, with significant increase in width of keratinized tissue. Mean root coverage was 83 ± 24% for recession depth, while complete root coverage was achieved in 10 out of 21 recessions (48%). The average root coverage esthetic score at 12 months was 7.1 ± 2.6. An interaction was found between initial recession depth and mean root coverage. (4) Conclusions: Within the limitations of this study, our results confirm that combination of coronally advanced flap and connective tissue graft is effective in reducing post-orthodontic Miller Class III recessions of the mandibular incisors, even when the correction of the tooth malposition, is unattainable.

PURPOSE: In recent years, dental malpractice claims have increased dramatically worldwide. The present study aimed to categorise and analyse claims related to implant dentistry that resulted in legal decisions in Israel, seeking to contribute to dental risk management and improve patient safety. MATERIALS AND METHODS: This study analysed legal claims registered by Medical Consultants International between 2005 and 2015. Only closed cases in which a decision was made were included. The parameters studied included patient age and sex, date of the complaint, treatment setting (private/public clinic), description of the adverse event and type of negligence claimed. RESULTS: The cohort included 709 settled claims out of a total of 1066 that were litigated against dental practitioners in Israel during the study period. Of the patients included, 60.0% were women and 63.9% were aged 40 to 59 years. The most common treatment-related damage was neural injury in 133 patients (18.7% of the cohort). Unplanned changes in the treatment plan and violation of autonomy were the most frequent documentation-/information-related claims (66.3% and 32.7%, respectively). The legal responsibility of the dental practitioner was acknowledged in 89.0% of cases. Dental practitioners working in the private sector were more likely to be sued due to violation of autonomy than those working in public clinics. CONCLUSIONS: Although the main cause for lawsuits was actual bodily injury, the high percentage of documentation-/information-related malpractice claims calls for increased awareness of patients' autonomy and rights. Practitioners should dedicate a significant part of the entire treatment time to preoperative diagnosis and planning.

BACKGROUND: In recent years, worldwide dental malpractice claims have dramatically increased. The purpose of the present study is to analyze periodontal therapy related claims in Israel that led to legal decisions. METHODS: This retrospective cohort study includes malpractice claims against dental practitioners related to periodontology between 2005 and 2019. Only closed cases where a final decision was made were included. The chi-square test or Fisher exact test for categorical variables were performed and a p value of <0.05 was considered statistically significant. RESULTS: During the study period there were 508 legal claims related to periodontal disease. Most plaintiffs were women (63.4%), and 71.3% of the patients were >35 years old. Most claims (82.8%) were settled out of court and ended in compromise. Claims concerning the treatment of periodontal disease by periodontists accounted only for 4.5% (23/508) of the cases while 95.5% (485/508) of the claims were for complications secondary to another treatment. Prosthodontic treatment was involved with the highest number 54.5%, followed by dental implants 17.7%, and endodontics 11.6%. The allegations were related to pain and distress (84.8%), aggravation of existent periodontal disease (83.3%), tooth loss (78.1%), and violation of autonomy (47%). CONCLUSIONS: The main cause for lawsuits was related to aggravation of periodontal disease during prosthetic or implant therapy and related to suspected faulty or inexistent preoperative diagnosis and planning. PRACTICAL IMPLICATIONS: Periodontal consultation before dental treatment may reduce malpractice risks, adverse events, and un-necessary changes of treatment plans.

PURPOSE: To compare the temperature changes during the setting process of two provisional crown materials, polymethyl methacrylate (PMMA)-based acrylic resin (Ac) and bis-acryl composite resin (Co), at the first thread surface of one-piece implants. MATERIALS AND METHODS: Twenty-two 3.3-mm-diameter one-piece implants were divided into two groups according to the provisional restoration material. Implants were mounted on a Plexiglas apparatus. A K-type thermocouple was fixed at the most coronal thread. Baseline (Bl Temp) and maximal (Max Temp) temperatures of both groups were recorded during the curing process. Total heat flux (THF) at the implant surface and thermal amplitude (Temp-Amp) were calculated. Differences between groups were compared using a t test for unpaired observations. RESULTS: Upon curing, a statistically significant increase in the Max Temp from the Bl Temp was detected in both groups, with a greater increase in the Ac compared with the Co group. The Temp-Amp and the THF were two times greater in the Ac group than the Co group. CONCLUSION: Significant heat is produced during the polymerization of PMMA-based resin and bis-acryl composite resin provisional crowns in one-piece implants. To decrease the risk of thermal challenge at the implant cervical aspect associated with restoration of immediately loaded implants, bis-acryl composite resin should be used.

OBJECTIVES: Repeated abutment disconnection/reconnection may compromise the mucosal barrier and result in crestal bone level changes. The clinical significance of this phenomenon is not yet clear, as most studies on this topic are short-term. Therefore, the aim of the present study was to evaluate the influence of abutment disconnections and reconnections on peri-implant marginal bone loss over a medium-term follow-up period. MATERIAL AND METHODS: Twenty-one patients (6 men and 15 women) with a mean age 66.23 ± 9.35 year at the time of implant placement were included. All patients who received two adjacent nonsubmerged implants were randomly assigned into one of the two groups: definitive multiunit abutments (DEFs) connected to the implant that were not removed (test group) or healing abutments (HEAs) placed at surgery, which were disconnected and reconnected 3-5 times during the prosthetic phase (control group). Peri-implant marginal bone levels (MBL) were measured through periapical X-rays images acquired immediately after the surgery (baseline), at 4-7 months immediately after prosthetic delivery, and at 1-year and 3-year follow-up visits. RESULTS: No implant was lost or presented bone loss of more than 1.9 mm during the 3-year follow-up; thus, the survival and success rate was 100%. Peri-implant mucositis was noticed in 38.1% DEFs and 41.9% of HEAs at the 3-year follow-up assessment. At the end of 3 years, the MBL was -0.35 ± 0.69 mm for participants in the DEFs group and -0.57 ± 0.80 mm for the HEAs group, with significant statistical difference between groups. CONCLUSIONS: Immediate connection of the multiunit abutments reduced bone loss in comparison with 3-5 disconnections noted in the healing abutments 3 years after prosthetic delivery. However, the difference between the groups was minimal; thus, the clinical relevance of those results is doubtful.

In recent years, dental malpractice claims have increased dramatically worldwide. The purpose of the present study is to analyze claims related to orthodontic treatment involving periodontal problems that resulted in legal decisions in Israel. This study analyzed legal claims registered by Medical Consultants International (MCI) between 2005 and 2018. Only closed cases of orthodontic claims involving periodontal problems in which a decision was made were included. The parameters studied included patients' demographic data, the main reasons of the claim, and complications. Statistical significance was found for aesthetic damage, which was more common in claims of females (p = 0.035) and in older claims (p = 0.004); tooth damage was more common in claims of older patients (p = 0.032); violation of autonomy was higher in private practice (p = 0.047) and in more recent claims (p = 0.001). As orthodontic treatment is becoming more popular in older patients, and as lawsuit claims become more common in recent years, the orthodontists should always analyze and document the periodontal status of their patients before and during treatment in order to maintain professional practice and avoid future claims.

The management of patients under treatment with Direct Oral Anticoagulants (DOACs) has led clinicians to deal with two clinical issues, such as the hemorrhagic risk in case of non-interruption or the risk of thromboembolism in case of suspension of the treatment. The primary aim of this retrospective study was to evaluate the incidence of perioperative bleeding events and healing complications in patients who were under treatment with Rivaroxaban and who received dental implants and immediate prosthetic restoration. Patients treated with Rivaroxaban (Xarelto 20 mg daily) and who needed implant rehabilitation were selected. Four to six implants were placed in mandibular healed sites or fresh extraction sockets. All patients, in agreement with their physicians, interrupted the medication for 24 h and received implants and immediate restorations. Twelve patients and 57 implants were analyzed in the study. No major postoperative bleeding events were reported. Three patients (25%) presented slight immediate postoperative bleeding controlled with compression only. The implant and prosthetic survival rate were both 100% after 1 year. Within the limitations of this study, multiple implant placement with an immediate loading can be performed without any significant complication with a 24 h discontinuation of Rivaroxaban, in conjunction with the patient's physician.
