RESUMO

There was executed the analysis of morbidity and disability rate in workers with occupational diseases (poisoning) of the Republic ofBashkortostan for the periodfrom 2010 to 2014. There is reflected the sectoral distribution of the relative indices of the occupational morbidity. There are selected factors of labor and the labor process, promoting occupational diseases (OD). The leading place in the structure of primary morbidity is held by OD related to physical overload and functional overexertion of certain organs and systems; the second - by diseases associated with exposure to physicalfactors; the third - by diseases from exposure to workplace allergens. This is followed by illness (intoxications) caused by exposure to chemical factors, industrial aerosols. The share of OD from exposure to biological agents and professional tumors in total accounts for about 2.0% of all cases of OD revealed for the first time.

RESUMO

Occupational morbidity analysis covered medical staffers of Bashkortostan Republic over 1997-2010. Findings are that health care is an activity with high occupational risk independent on type of medical establishment, speciality and position. In 1999-2005 significant increase of occupational morbidity in Bashkortostan Republic was seen--up to 4 times over average in the Republic. Afterwards the occupational morbidity among medical staffers decreased significantly, but conditions for its formation still exist. Leading place in occupational morbidity among medical staffers of Bashkortostan Republic appeared to be occupied by infectious diseases presented by tuberculosis and viral hepatitis; second place belongs to skin conditions, the third--to respiratory diseases. Severe infectious and somatic diseases (tuberculosis, viral hepatitis and bronchial asthma) cover more than a half (65.4%) of all primarily diagnosed occupational diseases in medical staffers, that determines high possibility of disablement and early incapacity (44.1%). Complex target program "Basic science for work conditions and health state monitoring in medical staffers of Bashkortostan Republic" was specified for 2010-2015 and is aimed to a model of monitoring system for work conditions and health state of medical staffers, in order to justify management solutions for lower occupational risk and optimized work conditions of medical staffers in Bashkortostan Republic.

RESUMO

Comparative analysis covered three models of occupational risk evaluation: (1) Method to evaluate risks at workplace, elaborated in Finland and recommended by International Work Safety Agency for Eastern Europe and Central Asia countries; (2) Method elaborated in Research Institute for Occupational Medicine with RAMSc under the direction of N.F. Izmerov and E.I. Denisov; (3) Method evaluating individual occupational risk, with consideration of work conditions and worker's health state, also elaborated in Research Institute for Occupational Medicine with RAMSc and Klin Institute of Work conditions and safety, approved in 2011 as methodic recommendations. Findings are that in contemporary Russia a unified method evaluating occupational risk is more expedient; the first method satisfactorily describes actual ratio of occupational risk levels and could be useful as an additional method for its evaluation, especially for psycho-social factors; the second method does not allow to evaluate occupational risk acceptably if absent longstanding occupational morbidity, but is recommended for risk evaluation in evidence-based medicine; the third method is recommended at federal level to fulfil requirements of Labour Code in Russian Federation and obligatory social insurance purposes.

RESUMO

The authors studied factors of working environment and process on nonferrous metallurgy enterprises in Bashkortostan Republic and evaluated their influence on the workers' occupational health over 1997-2009, with consideration of occupation, sex, age, length of service, work conditions and characters. The article demonstrates that sanitary and hygienic characteristics of occupations connected with machinery operation are prone to increased integral evaluation of work conditions due to underestimation of actual hardiness and intensity of work.

RESUMO

The authors analyzed results of organizing and performing preliminary and periodic medical examinations of workers exposed to conditions violating sanitary and hygienic rules, exemplified by Bashkortostan Republic. The analysis also covered some parameters of occupational morbidity changes since 1968 to 2008. To increase diagnostic efficiency for occupational diseases, according to the authors, one needs a whole system of evaluation and management of occuupational risks on basis of continuous development of compatible information databases concerning work conditions and workers' health parameters.
