The authors present data on the treatment of patients with uncomplicated ulcer disease over the period of exacerbation of the illness in the setting of an inpatient day care establishment attached to a polyclinic. With patients having ulcer healing within the same time range after treatment at the gastroenterological versus day-care inpatient institution the latter option is more advantageous for the state since is 3.8 times less costly. Such an option is recommended to be more widely used in the treatment of patients with ulcer disease in practical health care.
