RESUMO

This data article is related to the previous research, which addressed the development of a COVID-19 recombinant vaccine candidate. Here, we present the additional data in support of the safety and protective efficacy evaluation of two COVID-19 vaccine candidates based on the coronaviruses' S protein fragments and a structurally modified plant virus - spherical particles. The effectiveness of the experimental vaccines was studied against the SARS-CoV-2 virus in an in vivo infection model in female Syrian hamsters. The body weight of vaccinated laboratory animals was monitored. The histological assessment data of the infected with the SARS-CoV-2 virus hamsters' lungs are provided.

RESUMO

Impact of the wounds coverings on the wounds contents pH in the injured persons, suffering superficial burns of skin, was studied. In 75 patients (the main group) the wounds treatment was accomplished under the wounds covering, in 35 of them xenotransplants were applied, and in 40 coverings made of hydrogel. In 35 patients (the comparison group) the moisture-drying gauze bandages were used. There was established, that the wound indices of pH constitute an important factor for the burn wounds healing. The changes of the media pH towards the acid one under the wounds covering had stimulated the wounds healing and epithelization.

RESUMO

Determination of the burn wound depth, using noncontact infrared thermometry, permits to predict the burn affection severity, basing on the revealed difference between local, perifocal temperature and temperature in certain nonaffected areas of the body surface. The temperature difference (ΔT) over 1 °C constitutes a strict criterion of the skin burn presence. The temperature 34 °C have been considered a border one for the skin burns. If the burn wound temperature in 24 h after trauma was lower 34 °C and ΔT 2 °C and more, it have witnessed the presence of deep burn of the skin. High sensitivity (87%) and specificity (96%) of thermometric test in 24 h after trauma were established. In epidermal burns the temperature of the burn wounds have constituted (35.9 ± 0.3) °C at average, in superficial burns of the skin--(35.1 ± 0.6) °C, and in the deep burns--(33.6 ± 0.8) °C.

RESUMO

Levels of interleukins-6, 8, 10, TNF-alpha and basic fibroblast growth factor (bFGF) were examined in peripheral blood of 60 patients with diabetes mellitus type II and soft tissues infections. It was revealed the elevated levels of proinflammatory (IL-6, 8), anti-inflammatory (IL-10) cytokines and basic fibroblast growth factor at the time of admission. Application of combined ozone therapy including ozonated autohemotherapy and superficial management of wounds with ozone-oxygen mixture resulted in significant decrease of IL-6, 8, 10 production and high level of bFGF on blood serum. Thus effective local bactericidal impact of ozone in combination with normalization of proinflammatory cytokines levels and preserved high level of bFGF in peripheral blood provide better results of wound healing process in patients with diabetes mellitus type II.

RESUMO

Dynamics of a blood serum concentration of tumor necrosis factor-alpha (TNF- alpha), interleukines (IL-1beta, IL-10) in 35 patients, suffering severe burn, and possibility of application of these indices as biomarkers of the severity state and the complications prognosis, were studied. During the investigation there was established, that TNF-alpha concentration on the 8 - 10th and 19 - 21th day after trauma does the best for characterization of a burn total area, while the IL-1beta concentration on the 8 - 10th day after trauma - the deep affections severity and the IL-10 concentration on the 19 - 21th day after trauma - the deep affections severity. Hyperreactivity, caused by enhanced production of TNF-alpha, IL-1beta and IL-10, witnesses the raised risk of development of the organs complications. And adversely, hypo- and areactivity in extended and deep burns witnesses about enhanced risk of lethality. The blood serum concentration of TNF-alpha, IL-1beta and IL-10 is expedient to use as a biomarkers of the patients state severity and for the course prognosis of pathological process.
