RESUMO

The response of cardiovascular parameters to measured hand grip exercise has been studied in healthy men frequenters of sauna. The results demonstrate leveling of initially registered individual deviations in reactivity of vasomotor center and related variants in the response of cardiac regulation mechanisms.

RESUMO

On the basis of complex dynamic analysis of clinical and computed tomography data in 143 patients with craniocerebral trauma it was established that the deformity of the cisterns of the base of the brain grows regularly with the gradual increase of decompensation in traumatic compression of the brain. The phase of gross clinical decompensation is characterized by critical changes in the form of gross deformity or absence of suprasellar, involving also the pontine cisterns of the brain, as well as by the development of hydrocephalus in displacement of the median structures by more than 7 mm. It is shown that in phase-by-phase appraisal of the computed tomography signs of stem dislocation not only their degree of manifestations but the rate of their development must be considered.

RESUMO

The remote results of combined therapy of 300 patients with chronic pyoderma were estimated by the data of the 5-year catamneses. The patients were treated with the use of erycycline, a combined drug consisting of two antibiotics made in the USSR. Stable clinical recovery within 5 years was stated in 78.8 per cent of the patients. Significant improvement (single pustules 2-3 years after discontinuation of the treatment) was registered in 13.7 per cent of the patients. Improvement (insignificant relapses within the first 2 years) was stated in 6.3 per cent of the patients. No effect of the combined therapy was stated in 1.2 per cent of the patients. It was shown that the use of erycycline in the combined therapy of the patients with chronic pyoderma provided its high efficacy, favourable immediate and remote results, decreasing the treatment period at the average by 3.8 days and decreasing the number of relapses. It also provided economy. The analysis of the catamneses promoted critical and objective estimation of the treatment results and stability of the therapeutic remission thus facilitating solution of the problem of treatment and prophylaxis of chronic pyoderma.

RESUMO

The work is based on the analysis of computer tomographic findings in 196 patients (children and adults) with closed craniocerebral injury of different severity. The authors give a more precise definition of the tomographic characteristics of the different forms of craniocerebral damages and the dynamics of changes in the acute and subacute periods after the injury. Three types of intracerebral hematomas are distinguished according to the mechanism of their origin, location, and extent. The tomographic signs of cerebral contusion are systematized. The forms of traumatic edema-swelling of the brain are described according to the results of tomodensitometry. The rarity of hydrocephalus in the acute period is pointed out. Hydrocephalus was caused by dislocation of the cerebral structures with compression of the c.s.f. passages or their occlusion in intraventricular hemorrhages. The tomographic characteristics of chronic subdural hematomas are given. It is shown that dynamic tomographic control in patients with severe craniocerebral injury makes it possible to limit treatment to nonoperative measures in some cases with different forms of brain contusion and small intracerebral hematomas.
