The brief history of creation and basic stages of development of the largest centre of science of the country and global physiological science--A.A. Bogomolets Institute of physiology of National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine is stated. The basic achievements of scientific divisions of Institute for the 70-year's period in area of the most urgent problems of molecular physiology, neurophysiology, physiology of visceral systems are marked. Is covered many-sided and versatile scientific and publishing activity of the employees of Institute, the role of the outstanding scientists--physiologists and biophysicists of Institute in formation of national scientific schools is shown.

[Classification and review of technical devices for hypoxia therapy]. / Klasyfikatsiia ta ohliad zasobiv hipoksyterapiï.

In the report there considered and compared the functional and constructive features of hipoxicators, divided in classification groups. The complex of medico-technical requirements to hipoxicators is formulated; prospects of perfection of therapeutic and diagnostic methods for hypoxitherapy and their hardware are estimated.

[An analysis of the scientific publications of the A. A. Bogomolets Institute of Physiology of the Academy of Sciences of Ukraine]. / Deiaki aspekty analizu naukovykh publikatsii Instytutu fiziolohiï im. O. O. Bohomol'tsia AN Ukraïny.

Scientific publications from three sectors of the Institute have analyzed for the period since 1979 till 1988 inclusive. The analysis is based on data of annual reference books Science Citation Index (SCI) and lists of publications of each researcher of the Institute. It is shown that with almost equal numerical strength of researchers and similar number of publications the sector of molecular physiology contributed 43.6% to cited works 48.2% of these works are included into database of SCI. Such indices for the sectors of neurophysiology and physiology of visceral systems accounted for 33%, 33.4% and 23.4, 18.4% respectively. It is of interest that 47.5% of references to the cited works of the molecular physiology sector were made by foreign scientists and self-citation constituted 17.4%, while for the other sectors such indices had a reverse relationship. The problem on objectification of estimation of research is under discussion.
