[Statement of the bioptic diagnostic in intrathoracic sarcoidosis--team work of 6 lung hospitals of the GDR (author's transl)]. / Stand der bioptischen Diagnostik bei intrathorakaler Sarkoidose--Erfahrungen von 6 Lungenkliniken der DDR.

A nearly nation-wide team-work of six chest hospitals was made with 4284 patients to analyse all performed diagnostic procedures up to the present. Its frequency and diagnostic importance in relation to the radiographic stages of the disease were examined. Especially the procedure of bronchologic examination, having been partly underrated with the morphological ascertainment of sarcoidosis, are now purposefully analysed. This showed that also with perbronchic punction-biopsy and bronchoscopic excision morphologically confirming of the diagnosis was possible at a high percentage. On the other side the right diagnosis was made clinically before bioptic procedures in the majority of the patients. The overall conclusion is that, according to the experiences made in our hospitals, the relatively harmless bronchologic procedures are in general sufficient to obtain bioptic verfication of the diagnosis "sarcoidosis". Other bioptic operations like mediastinoscopy or lung biopsy can be restricted to cases with reasonable doube of the diagnosis.

Results of preclinical assay, preparation and conservation of a S.-dublin live vaccine based on streptomycin dependent mutants and for oral application are demonstrated and discussed in detail. The used oral vaccine is very good tolerated by calves and results in stable immunity after administration of a daily dose of 5 x 10(10) bis 1 x 10(11) living Smd.-mutants for 10 consecutive days. Complete immunity developes in calves within a period of two weeks after the last antigen administration and persists up to the age of 5 to 6 months. Conserving the vaccine at low temperatures (-15 degrees C) the number of living organism is far-reaching preserved in the first 5 months after preparation. After thawing the vaccine is to be used within a period of 3 days. With respect to the preparation of the live vaccine on semisynthetic nutritiv media some informations are given concerning the improvement of bacterial yield.

Mitteilung. Therapiestandard, Therapieüberwachungsparameter und Therapieverlauf

It is reported about the clinical testing of the "Cancer Multistep Therapy" (CMT) by M. von Ardenne (CMT Concept '74). It was made in 1974/75 on 42 tumour-patients. At first we demonstrate in this publication clinical and paraclinical findings, which may be relevant for the therapy-standard, but the results of the therapy-efficiency will be given later. On the base of findings and observations we verify a program-true employment of the CMT Concept '74 and we demonstrate the pathophysiological reaction-patterns in connection with the longterm-hyperglycemia (glucose-utilization, spontaneous hyperthermy with tachycardia, spontaneous leukocytosis with typical deviations in the hematogram). These reaction-patterns are described particularly as "general adaptation syndrome" (Selye). Further we give an assessment of compatibility, tolerableness, and practicability of the CMT.
