RESUMO

Objective: To study the protective effect and mechanism of compound Danshen dropping pills on the heart of rats with type 2 diabetic cardiomyopathy. Method: Seventy-five male SD rats were randomly divided into blank group (15 rats) and model group (60 rats). The model group was fed with high-sugar and high-fat diet, high-sugar and high-fat milk and sucrose water. Six weeks later, rats with foodborne obesity (body mass ≥ the mean body mass of blank control group + 2 times standard deviation) were selected and intraperitoneally injected with 1% streptozotocin (STZ)28 mg·kg-1. After 12 weeks, rats with fasting blood glucose ≥ 11.1 mmol·L-1 and polydipsia, diuresis, polyphagia and weight loss were randomly divided into model group, compound Danshen dropping pills group (0.5 g·kg-1) and metformin group (0.5 g·kg-1) and intervened for 12 weeks. At the end of the experiment, echocardiography was used to evaluate cardiac function. Blood samples were taken to determine the corresponding biochemical indicators of rats. Histopathological changes of myocardium were observed by hematoxylin-eosin (HE) and Masson staining. The ultrastructure of myocardium was observed under electron microscope. Western blot was used to detect the expressions of vascular endothelial growth factor (VEGF), transforming growth factor-beta 1 (TGF-β1) and type Ⅰ collagen (Collagen Ⅰ). Real-time fluorescence quantitative analysis (Real-time PCR) was used to detect the expression of miRNA-200b. Result: Compared with the blank group, the heart weight index (HMI), fasting blood glucose (FBG), glycosylated hemoglobin (HbA1c), fasting insulin (FINS), total cholesterol (TC), triglyceride (TG), low-density lipoprotein cholesterin(LDL-C) levels in the model group were significantly increased (PPPPPβ1 and Collagen I increased (PPPPPPβ1 and Collagen I was decreased (PPConclusion: Compound Danshen dropping pills may play a protective role in the heart of type 2 diabetic cardiomyopathy rats by lowering lipid, up-regulating the expression of miR-200b and inhibiting the expression levels of VEGF, TGF-β1 and Collagen I.

RESUMO

The clinical therapeutic effect of acupoint catgut-embedding for simple obesity was systemically analyzed to provide reference and assistance for its clinical treatment and research. By searching in the CBM, CNKI, VIP, Wanfang, Pubmed, Springer and Medline databases, clinical randomized controlled trials (RCT) of acupoint catgut-embedding for simple obesity published from Jan, 2009 to July, 2013 were collected while Revman 5. 2 software was applied to perform the Meta-analysis. Totally 19 articles were acquired with 1 658 cases involved. The effective rate was selected as primary outcome measure in 19 articles. The Meta-analysis was performed among homogeneous researches. The results indicated that compared with other therapies, pooled OR of acupoint catgut-embedding was 2.45 with 95% CI [1.81, 3.32]; in the test for overall effect, Z = 5.81, implying the efficacy difference of two therapies was significant in the treatment of simple obesity (P < 0.01). In subgroups analysis, in the event of treatment session with more than 3 months, compared with other therapies, pooled OR of acupoint catgut-embedding was 2.61 with 95% CI [1.53, 4.46]; in test for overall effect, Z = 3.51, implying the efficacy difference of two therapies was significant in the treatment of simple obesity (P < 0.01); in the event of treatment session with less than 3 months, compared with other therapies, pooled OR of acupoint catgut-embedding was 2.38 with 95% CI [1.65, 3.44]; in test for overall effect, Z = 4.46, implying in the treatment of simple obesity the efficacy difference of two therapies was significant (P < 0.01). Compared with electroacupuncture, OR of acupoint catgut-embedding was 1.79, 95% CI [1.08, 2.95] (P = 0.02). Compared with acupuncture, OR of acupoint catgut-embedding was 1.89, 95% CI [1.16, 3.09] (P = 0.01), which explained that compared with electroacupuncture and acupuncture, the efficacy of acupoint catgut-embedding was significantly different. In a word, the clinical efficacy of acupoint catgut-embedding is superior to other therapies in the treatment of simple obesity.

RESUMO

Corrosion behaviour of biomedical alloys is generally determined in mineral electrolytes: unbuffered NaCl 0.9% (pH 7.4) or artificial saliva (pH 6.8). The assays with exclusive utilization of these electrolytes are of low relevance for the biological condition, to which the alloys will be exposed once implanted in the human organism. As an approach to the biological situation regarding the interaction of proteins, electrolytes and metals, we added the RPMI cell culture medium containing foetal calf serum as a biological electrolyte (pH 7.0). The analysis of corrosion behaviour was also performed in the presence of human lymphoid cells (CEM). The rest potential (Er) and the global polarization were determined on cp-Ti, micro-arc oxidized cp-Ti (MAO-Ti), four different Ti-alloys (Ti6Al4V, Ti12Zr, Ti(AlMoZr), Ti(NbTaZr)) and 316L stainless steel. The 316L exhibited an appropriate Er and a good passive current density (Ip), but a high corrosion potential (Ec) and a very low breakdown potential (Eb) in all electrolytes. All Ti-alloys exhibited a much better electrochemical behaviour: better Er and Ec and very high Eb. No significant differences of the above parameters existed between the Ti-alloys, except for Zr-containing alloys that showed better corrosion behaviour. A remarkable difference, however, was stated with respect to the electrolytes. NaCl 0.9% induced strong variations between the Ti-alloys. More homogeneous results were obtained with artificial saliva and RPMI medium, which induced a favourable Ec and an increased Ip. The presence of cells further decreased these values. The unbuffered NaCl solution seems to be less appropriate for the analysis of corrosion of metals. Additional in vitro biological assessments with CEM cell suspensions and MC3T3-E1 osteoblasts confirmed the advantages of the Ti(AlMoZr) and Ti(NbTaZr) alloys with an improved cell proliferation and vitality rate.

RESUMO

Soil samples in contaminated site of a historical HCH plant were collected and the levels and the distribution of HCH were analyzed and studied. The highest level of SigmaHCH was 271.72 mg kg(-1). The contamination of HCH was mainly in 0 - 40 cm depth of soil, while the concentration of HCH in 0 - 40 cm depth of soil was much more than that in 40 - 150 cm depth of soil. The concentration of beta-HCH was much more than other three kinds of isomers. The distribution of HCH in 0 - 20 cm depth of soil was calculated by Kriging model. The induration of the surface soil, which stopped the rainwater infiltrating, made theconcentration of HCH reduce with depth and made the depth of contaminated soil shallow.
