In recent decades, the presence of perfluoroalkyl acids (PFAAs) in municipal solid waste leachate has emerged as a growing concern. Research has focused on PFAA release and occurrence characteristics in landfill and waste-to-energy leachate, highlighting their significant impact when released into wastewater treatment plants. Given the extremely high loading rate faced by current on-site leachate treatment plants (LTPs), the objective of this study is to assess whether the current "anaerobic/aerobic (A/O) + membrane bioreactor (MBR) + nanofiltration (NF) + reverse osmosis (RO)" configuration is effective in PFAAs removal. Concentrations of raw and treated leachate in 10 on-site LTPs with same treatment configuration and varying landfill ages were measured, and a comprehensive mass flow analysis of each treatment process was conducted. The results indicate that A/O treatment has limited capacity for PFAA removal, while NF and RO processes reached 77.44 % and 94.30 % removal rates of ∑PFAAs concentration, respectively. Short-chain PFAAs (> 80 % detected frequency) primarily influenced the distribution and variations of PFAAs in leachate and tend to disperse in the water phase. Correlation analysis revealed the current on-site LTPs exhibit a more efficient removal capacity for long-chain PFAAs.

In the environment, soil colloids are widespread and possess a significant adsorption capacity. This makes them capable of transporting different pollutants, presenting a potential risk to human and ecological well-being. This study aimed to examine the adsorption and co-migration characteristics of benzo(a)pyrene (BaP) and soil colloids in areas contaminated with organic substances, utilizing both static and dynamic batch experiments. In the static adsorption experiments, it was observed that the adsorption of BaP onto soil colloids followed the pseudo-second-order kinetic model (R2 = 0.966), and the adsorption isotherm conformed to the Langmuir model (R2 = 0.995). The BaP and soil colloids primarily formed bonds through π-π interactions and hydrogen bonds. The dynamic experimental outcomes revealed that elevating colloids concentration contributed to increased BaP mobility. Specifically, when the concentration of soil colloids in influent was 500 mg L-1, the mobility of BaP was 23.2 % compared to that without colloids of 13.4 %. Meanwhile, the lowering influent pH value contributed to increased BaP mobility. Specifically, when the influent pH value was 4.0, the mobility of BaP was 30.1 %. The BaP's mobility gradually declined as the initial concentration of BaP in polluted soil increased. Specifically, when the initial concentration of BaP in polluted soil was 5.27 mg kg-1, the mobility of BaP was 39.1 %. This study provides a support for controlling BaP pollution in soil and groundwater.

This study prepared a novel monoclonal antibody (MAb) against mink enteritis parvovirus (MEV) and identified its antigen epitope. The antibody subclass is identified as IgG1, the titers of the MAb is up to 1:1×106 and keeps stably after low-temperature storage for 9 months or 11 passages of the MAb cells. The MAb can specifically recognize MEV in the cells in IFA, but not Aleutian disease virus (ADV) or canine distemper virus (CDV). Its antigen epitope was identified as a polypeptide containing 5 key amino acids (378YAFGR382) and the homology in 20 MEV strains, 4 canine parvovirus strains, and 4 feline panleukopenia virus strains was 100%. This study supplies a biological material for developing new methods to detect MEV.

Subgroup J avian leukemia virus (ALV-J) and chicken infectious anemia virus (CIAV) are widely acknowledged as significant immunosuppressive pathogens that commonly co-infect chickens, causing substantial economic losses in the poultry industry. However, whether co-infection of ALV-J and CIAV have synergistic pathogenicity remains uncertain. To explore their synergistic pathogenesis, we established a co-infection model of ALV-J and CIAV in HD11 cells and specific-pathogen-free (SPF) chickens. We discovered that ALV-J and CIAV can synergistically promote the secretion of IL-6, IL-10, IFN-α, and IFN-γ and apoptosis in HD11 cells. In vivo, compared to the ALV-J and CIAV mono-infected group, the mortality increased significantly by 27% (20 to 47%) and 14% (33 to 47%) in the co-infected group, respectively. We also discovered that ALV-J and CIAV synergistically inhibited weight gain and exhibited more severe organ damage in co-infected chickens. Furthermore, we found that CIAV can promote the replication of ALV-J in HD11 cells and significantly enhance ALV-J viral load in blood and tissues of co-infected chickens, but ALV-J cannot promote the replication of CIAV. Moreover, by measuring the immune organ indexes and proportions of blood CD3+CD4+ and CD3+CD8+ lymphocytes, more serious instances of immunosuppression were observed in ALV-J and CIAV co-infected chickens than in mono-infected chickens. Taken together, our findings demonstrate that ALV-J and CIAV synergistically enhance pathogenicity and immunosuppression.

Among broilers, the main pathogen that leads to swollen head syndrome (SHS) is the subgroup C avian metapneumovirus (aMPV-C). The aMPV-C infection can lead to an upsurge in the rate of soft-shell eggs, resulting in reduced egg production and seriously affecting the economy of the livestock industry. Therefore, a rapid method for aMPV-C detection needs to be invented. According to the N gene of aMPV-C, we designed the specific probe and primer and created a reverse transcription recombinase-aided amplification assay (RT-RAA) for the detection of aMPV-C. aMPV-C could be detected quickly and specifically by this method at 41 °C for 30 min. The sensitivity assay inferred that the minimum detection threshold of RT-RAA was 3.38 × 101 copies/µL. A specificity assay showed that the RT-RAA method did not cross-react with other subgroups (aMPV-A, aMPV-B, aMPV-D) or other viruses (H9N2, NDV, IBV, IBDV). Forty samples of known clinical background were tested by RT-RAA and RT-qPCR. The two approaches had a 100% correlation rate. In conclusion, this research successfully created an RT-RAA assay for aMPV-C.

Abri Herba (AH, known as 'Ji-Gu-Cao' in China) has a long-term medicinal history of treating cholecystitis, acute and chronic hepatitis and non-alcoholic fatty liver (NAFL) in China or other Asian countries. This review aimed to provide a comprehensive analysis of AH in terms of ethnopharmacology, phytochemistry, pharmacology, pharmacokinetics and toxicology. The information involved in the study was collected from a variety of electronic resources, and >100 scientific studies have been used since 1962. Until now, 95 chemical compounds have been isolated and identified from AH and the seeds of Abrus cantoniensis Hance (ACH), including 47 terpenoids, 26 flavonoids and 4 alkaloids. The pharmacological activities of AH extracts and their pure compounds have been explored in the aspects of anti-hyperlipidaemia, hepatoprotection, anti-tumour, anti-viral, anti-bacterial, anti-inflammatory and analgesic, immunomodulation, antioxidant and others. The pharmacokinetics and excretion kinetics of AH in vivo and 15 traditional and clinical prescriptions containing AH have been sorted out, and the potential therapeutic mechanism and drug metabolism pattern were also summarised. The pods of ACH are toxic, with a median lethal dose (LD50) of 10.01 ± 2.90 g/kg (i.g.) in mice. Interestingly, the toxicity of ACH's pods and seeds decreased after boiling. However, the toxicity mechanism of pods of ACH is unclear, limiting its clinical application. Clinical trials in the future should be used to explore its safety. Meanwhile, as one of the relevant pharmacological activities, the effects and mechanism of AH on anti-hyperlipidaemia and hepatoprotection should be further studied, which is of great significance for understanding its mechanism of action in the treatment of NAFL disease and improving its clinical application.

BACKGROUND: The optimal timing of thoracic radiotherapy (TRT) in driver-gene-negative metastatic non-small cell lung cancer (mNSCLC) patients was retrospectively investigated based on survival and safety profile. METHODS: The efficacy and safety data of driver-gene-negative mNSCLC patients treated with TRT during maintenance after first-line therapy was collected. Patients whose primary tumor and metastatic lesions remained no progression during maintenance and then received TRT were categorized as the NP (no progression) group, while patients who experienced slow progression during maintenance without reaching progressive disease and then received TRT were categorized as the SP (slow progression) group. The efficacy and adverse events of TRT were analyzed. RESULTS: In total, 149 driver-gene-negative mNSCLC patients treated with TRT during maintenance were enrolled into the study, with 119 in the NP group and 30 in the SP group. After a median follow-up of 30.83 (range: 26.62-35.04) months, the median progression-free survival (PFS) in the NP group was 11.13 versus 9.53 months in the SP group (HR 0.599, p = 0.017). The median overall survival (OS) in the NP group was 32.27 versus 25.57 months in the SP group (HR 0.637, p = 0.088). The median PFS after radiotherapy (rPFS) was 6.33 versus 3.90 months (HR 0.288, p < 0.001). The adverse events were tolerable and manageable in both groups without significant difference (p > 0.05). CONCLUSION: The addition of TRT during the pre-emptive no progression phase was associated with a significantly longer PFS than during the delayed slow progression phase and had an acceptable safety profile. Our results might support the earlier initiation of TRT after induction therapy for some patients with driver-gene-negative mNSCLC.

Asthma is a common chronic heterogeneous disease. Outdoor air pollutants are an important cause of acute asthma. Until now, the association between the risk of acute asthma and outdoor air pollutants is unclear. And the relationship between the different phenotypes of asthma and outdoor air pollutants has not been reported. Thus, an analysis of the association between outdoor air pollutants and daily acute asthma inpatient and outpatient visits in Xi'an, China, from January 1 to December 31, 2018, was conducted. A total of 3395 people were included in the study. The statistical analysis and relational analysis based on the logistic regression were used for illustrating the relatedness of the acute asthma risk factor and phenotype with outdoor air pollutants, while the age, gender, pollen peak and non-pollen peak periods, high type 2 (T2) asthma and non-high T2 asthma were also stratified. Results showed that particulate matter with particle size below 10 µm and 2.5 µm (PM10 and PM2.5), sulfur dioxide(SO2), nitrogen dioxide(NO2), and carbon monoxide(CO) increase the risk of acute asthma and that air pollutants have a lagged effect on asthma patients. PM10, NO2, CO, and Ozone (O3) are associated with an increased risk of acute attacks of high T2 asthma. PM10, PM2.5, SO2, NO2 and CO are associated with an increased risk of acute asthma in males of 0-16 years old. PM10 and PM2.5 are more harmful to asthma patients with abnormal lung function.

Electroencephalography (EEG) datasets are characterized by low signal-to-noise signals and unquantifiable noisy labels, which hinder the classification performance in rapid serial visual presentation (RSVP) tasks. Previous approaches primarily relied on supervised learning (SL), which may result in overfitting and reduced generalization performance. In this paper, we propose a novel multi-task collaborative network (MTCN) that integrates both SL and self-supervised learning (SSL) to extract more generalized EEG representations. The original SL task, i.e., the RSVP EEG classification task, is used to capture initial representations and establish classification thresholds for targets and non-targets. Two SSL tasks, including the masked temporal/spatial recognition task, are designed to enhance temporal dynamics extraction and capture the inherent spatial relationships among brain regions, respectively. The MTCN simultaneously learns from multiple tasks to derive a comprehensive representation that captures the essence of all tasks, thus mitigating the risk of overfitting and enhancing generalization performance. Moreover, to facilitate collaboration between SL and SSL, MTCN explicitly decomposes features into task-specific features and task-shared features, leveraging both label information with SL and feature information with SSL. Experiments conducted on THU, CAS, and GIST datasets illustrate the significant advantages of learning more generalized features in RSVP tasks. BACKGROUND: High dietary intake of antioxidants reduces the risk of allergic sensitization in children. However, there was no sufficient evidence for the effect of dietary antioxidants intake on childhood eczema. Herein, this study aimed to explore the roles of different dietary antioxidants in childhood eczema. METHODS: Data of 2305 children and adolescents aged < 18 years old were extracted from the National Health and Nutrition Examination Survey database in 2005-2006 in this cross-sectional study. The associations between dietary antioxidants intake and childhood eczema were explored using univariate and multivariate logistic regression analyses, with odds ratios (ORs) and confidence intervals (CIs). Subgroup analyses based on age and gender were also performed. RESULTS: A total of 268 (11.6%) children had eczema. After adjusting for covariates, we found no significant associations between dietary intake of ß-carotene, vitamin C, selenium (Se), and retinol and childhood eczema. However, compared with children and adolescents whose dietary zinc (Zn) intake < 7.47 mg, those who had dietary Zn intake level ≥ 11.83 mg seemed to have lower odds of eczema [OR 0.45, 95% CI 0.28-0.73]. In addition, subgroup analysis showed that especially in children and adolescents aged 1-11 years old, whatever the gender, a higher dietary intake level of Zn may benefit childhood eczema (all P < 0.05). CONCLUSION: We concluded dietary Zn intake was negatively associated with childhood eczema. Further studies are needed to explore the roles of dietary antioxidants intake in childhood eczema.

BACKGROUND: The mechanistic target of rapamycin (mTOR) signal pathway plays a crucial role in the development of nonalcoholic fatty liver disease (NAFLD). However, the causal effect of mTOR downstream proteins on NAFLD remains unknown. AIMS: We conducted a two-sample Mendelian randomization (MR) study to investigate whether the mTOR-dependent circulating proteins, including Eukaryotic Initiation Factor 4E Binding Proteins (eIF4EBPs), Ribosomal Protein S6K kinase 1 (RP-S6K), Eukaryotic Initiation Factor 4E (eIF4E), Eukaryotic Initiation Factor 4A (eIF4A) and Eukaryotic Initiation Factor 4 G (eIF4G), have causal effects on the risk of NAFLD. METHODS: The causal estimate was evaluated with the inverse-variance weighted (IVW) method in discovery stage and validation stage. The single-nucleotide polymorphisms (SNPs) were selected to genetically predict exposures from Genome-Wide Association Studies (GWAS). Exposures with statistically significant effects in the discovery dataset would be further validated in the validation dataset. RESULTS: MR study revealed that eIF4E had a causal effect on NAFLD in both discovery stage (OR = 1.339, P = 0.037) and validation stage (OR = 1.0007, P = 0.022). Sensitivity analyses confirmed robustness of the results. CONCLUSION: The genetically predicted higher level of mTOR-dependent eIF4E in plasma might have a causal effect on the occurrence of NAFLD.

RATIONALE: Tetrandrine, the Q-marker in Stephaniae Tetrandrae Radix, was proven to present an obvious antitumor effect. Until now, the metabolism and antitumor mechanism of tetrandrine have not been fully elucidated. METHODS: The metabolites of tetrandrine in rats were profiled using ultra-high-performance liquid chromatography coupled with time-of-flight mass spectrometry. The potential antitumor mechanism of tetrandrine in vivo was predicted using network pharmacology. RESULTS: A total of 30 metabolites were characterized in rats after ingestion of tetrandrine (10 mg/kg), including 0 in plasma, 7 in urine, 11 in feces, 9 in liver, 8 in spleen, 4 in lung, 5 in kidney, 5 in heart, and 4 in brain. This study was the first to show the metabolic processes demethylation, hydroxylation, and carbonylation in tetrandrine. The pharmacology network results showed that tetrandrine and its metabolites could regulate AKT1, TNF, MMP9, MMP2, PAK1, and so on by involving in proteoglycan tumor pathway, PI3K-Akt signaling pathway, tumor pathway, MAPK signaling pathway, and Rap1 signaling pathway. CONCLUSIONS: The metabolism features of tetrandrine and its potential antitumor mechanism were summarized, providing data for further pharmacological validation.

Hyperandrogenism-insulin resistance-acanthosis nigricans (HAIR-AN) syndrome is a special and rare subtype of polycystic ovarian syndrome. It can lead to hyperandrogenism (HA), insulin resistance (IR), and acanthosis nigricans (AN) accompanied by acne, hirutism, irregular menstruation, and other androgen excess symptoms. A case of pediatric HAIR-AN syndrome with severe AN was admitted to the Department of Endocrinology, China-Japan Friendship Hospital. The patient's clinical manifestations, laboratory data, imaging features, and gene sequencing were analyzed, and the patient was diagnosed with pediatric HAIR-AN syndrome. Obesity, IR, hyperglycemia, menstrual disorder, and AN were significantly improved after treating with metformin and liraglutide. HAIR-AN syndrome occurs in various forms. When the patient appears unexplained acanthosis nigricans and menstrual disorders, the disease should be considered possible. Early diagnosis and symptomatic supportive treatment can improve the quality of life.

In the early stages of embryonic development, a precise and strictly controlled hierarchy of gene expression is essential to ensure proper development of all cell types and organs. To better understand this gene control process, we constructed a small RNA library from 1- to 5-day-old chick embryos, and identified 2,459 miRNAs including 827 existing, 695 known, and 937 novel miRNAs with bioinformatic analysis. There was absolute high expression of a number of miRNAs in each stage, including gga-miR-363-3p (Em1d), gga-miR-26a-5p (Em2d and Em3d), gga-miR-10a-5p (Em4d), and gga-miR-199-5p (Em5d). We evaluated enriched miRNA profiles, identifying VEGF, Insulin, ErbB, MAPK, Hedgehog, TLR and Hippo signaling pathways as primary regulatory mechanisms enabling complex morphogenetic transformations within tight temporal constraints. Pathway analysis revealed miRNAs as pivotal nodes of interaction, coordinating cascades of gene expression critical for cell fate determination, proliferation, migration, and differentiation across germ layers and developing organ systems. Weighted Gene Co-Expression Network Analysis (WGCNA) generated hub miRNAs whose modular connections spanned regulatory networks, including: gga-miR-181a-3p (blue module), coordinating immunegenesis and myogenesis; gga-miR-126-3p (brown module), regulating vasculogenesis and angiogenesis; gga-miR-302c-5p (turquoise module), enabling pluripotency and self-renew; and gga-miR-429-3p (yellow module), modulating neurogenesis and osteogenesis. The findings of this study extend the knowledge of miRNA expression in early embryonic development of chickens, providing insights into the intricate gene control process that helps ensure proper development.

Due to their intrinsic structural features, the design and synthesis of a new type of zeolite-like metal-organic frameworks (ZMOFs) is highly desirable but challenging. Herein, solvothermal reactions between an angular dicarboxylate linker and rare-earth (RE) ions afforded two RE-MOFs, namely, Tb-ZMOF-2 and Tb-ZMOF-3, respectively. Structural analyses reveal that Tb-ZMOF-2 encompasses a novel [446482] cage, while Tb-ZMOF-3 contains nonanuclear (i.e., D6R) and hexanuclear (i.e., D4R) RE clusters simultaneously, subsequently resulting in two new zeolitic topologies. Idiopathic pulmonary fibrosis (IPF) is a chronic, progressive lung disease, but its pathogenesis is still unclear. Bioinformatics methods were used to explore the differentially expressed genes (DEGs) and to elucidate the pathogenesis of IPF at the genetic level. The microarray datasets GSE110147 and GSE53845 were downloaded from the Gene Expression Omnibus (GEO) database and analyzed using GEO2R to obtain the DEGs. The DEGs were further analyzed for Gene Ontology (GO) and Kyoto Encyclopedia of Genomes (KEGG) pathway enrichment using the DAVID database. Then, using the STRING database and Cytoscape, a protein-protein interaction (PPI) network was created and the hub genes were selected. In addition, lung tissue from a mouse model was validated. Lastly, the network between the target microRNAs (miRNAs) and the hub genes was constructed with NetworkAnalyst. A summary of 240 genes were identified as DEGs, and functional analysis highlighted their role in cell adhesion molecules and ECM-receptor interactions in IPF. In addition, eight hub genes were selected. Four of these hub genes (VCAM1, CDH2, SPP1, and POSTN) were screened for animal validation. The IHC and RT-qPCR of lung tissue from a mouse model confirmed the results above. Then, miR-181b-5p, miR-4262, and miR-155-5p were predicted as possible key miRNAs. Eight hub genes may play a key role in the development of IPF. Four of the hub genes were validated in animal experiments. MiR-181b-5p, miR-4262, and miR-155-5p may be involved in the pathophysiological processes of IPF by interacting with hub genes.

Fenofibrate, a marketed peroxisome proliferator-activated receptor-α (PPARα) agonist, has been widely used for treating severe hypertriglyceridemia and mixed dyslipidemia. As a canonical prodrug, fenofibrate can be rapidly hydrolyzed to release the active metabolite (fenofibric acid) in vivo, but the crucial enzyme(s) responsible for fenofibrate hydrolysis and the related hydrolytic kinetics have not been well-investigated. This study aimed to assign the key organs and crucial enzymes involved in fenofibrate hydrolysis in humans, as well as reveal the impact of fenofibrate hydrolysis on its non-PPAR-mediated biologic activities. Our results demonstrated that fenofibrate could be rapidly hydrolyzed in the preparations from both human liver and lung to release fenofibric acid. Reaction phenotyping assays coupling with chemical inhibition assays showed that human carboxylesterase 1A (hCES1A) played a predominant role in fenofibrate hydrolysis in human liver and lung, while human carboxylesterase 2A (hCES2A) and human monoacylglycerol esterase (hMAGL) contributed to a very lesser extent. Kinetic analyses showed that fenofibrate could be rapidly hydrolyzed by hCES1A in human liver preparations, while the inherent clearance of hCES1A-catalyzed fenofibrate hydrolysis is much higher (>200-fold) than than that of hCES2A or hMAGL. Biologic assays demonstrated that both fenofibrate and fenofibric acid showed very closed Nrf2 agonist effects, but fenofibrate hydrolysis strongly weakens its inhibitory effects against both hCES2A and hNtoum. Collectively, our findings reveal that the liver is the major organ and hCES1A is the predominant enzyme-catalyzing fenofibrate hydrolysis in humans, while fenofibrate hydrolysis significantly reduces inhibitory effects of fenofibrate against serine hydrolases. SIGNIFICANCE STATEMENT: Fenofibrate can be completely converted to fenofibric acid in humans and subsequently exert its pharmacological effects, but the hydrolytic pathways of fenofibrate in humans have not been well-investigated. This study reported that the liver was the predominant organ and human carboxylesterase 1A was the crucial enzyme involved in fenofibrate hydrolysis in humans.

While the presence of host cell proteins in virions and their role in viral life cycles have been demonstrated in various viruses, such characteristics have remained largely unknown in avian leukosis virus (ALV). To investigate whether this is the case in ALV, we purified high-integrity and high-purity virions from the avian leukosis virus subgroup J (ALV-J) and subjected them to proteome analysis using nano LC-MS/MS. This analysis identified 53 cellular proteins that are incorporated into mature ALV-J virions, and we verified the reliability of the packaged cellular proteins through subtilisin digestion and immunoblot analysis. Functional annotation revealed the potential functions of these proteins in the viral life cycle and tumorigenesis. Overall, our findings have important implications for understanding the interaction between ALV-J and its host, and provide new insights into the cellular requirements that define ALV-J infection.

Previous studies have reported a correlation between the dysregulation of intestinal microbiota and the occurrence of asthma. This study aimed to investigate the effect of probiotic Lactobacillus rhamnosus 76 (LR76) on ovalbumin (OVA)-allergic mice and the mechanism of LR76 affecting mucus secretion in asthma. OVA-allergic mice were supplemented with LR76, and 16HBE cells induced by interleukin-13 (IL-13) were treated with LR76 supernatant (LR76-s) to observe the effect of LR76. In OVA-sensitized mice, LR76 alleviated the inflammatory cell infiltration in lung tissue and reduced the inflammatory cell counts of BALF. The expression level of mRNA, including Il4, Il5, Il13, Il25, Tgfb1, Il10, and Ifng, was decreased in the lung tissue of mice in the LR76 group compared with the OVA group. MUC5AC expression was down-regulated, while SCGB1A1 was up-regulated in the lung tissue of OVA-allergic mice after being supplemented with LR76 and in 16HBE cells induced by IL-13 after incubating with LR76-s. LR76 and LR76-s down-regulated the expression of proteins, including STAT6, p-STAT6, and SPDEF, and mRNA of STAT6 and SPDEF. In conclusion, LR76 alleviated airway inflammation and Th2 response in OVA-allergic mice and improved the mucus secretion of mouse lung tissue and 16HBE cells in the asthma model by down-regulating STAT6/SPDEF pathway.

Cigarette butts, as easily overlooked littered wastes, have been evaluated for toxicity in various researches. In this study, we investigated the toxic effects of smoked cigarette butt leachate (SCBL) on the earthworm Eisenia fetida. The results showed the following: 1) E. fetida avoided SCBL in artificial soil, and the avoidance rate was positively correlated with the concentration of SCBL but negatively correlated with the exposure time; 2) the LD50 of SCBL on earthworms at 36 and 48 h of exposure were 3.71 × 10-4 and 2.67 × 10-4 butts/cm2, respectively. Moreover, both the body surface and intestinal tissues of E. fetida were damaged after exposure to SCBL; 3) the survival rates of E. fetida exposed to artificial soil with an SCBL of 3.6 butts/kg for 7 and 14 days were 80.00 ± 7.07 % and 68.00 ± 4.47 %, respectively; and 4) the mean biomass of the surviving E. fetida in all treated groups decreased with increasing SCBL concentration and exposure time. We concluded that SCBL exerted significant negative effects on soil animals, and suggested that SCBs should be collected, detoxified, and reused before entering the natural environment.
