RESUMO

PURPOSE: The aim of this study was to examine the associations between body composition and temporal eating patterns, including time of first eating occasion, time of last eating occasion, eating window, and eating jet lag (the variability in meal timing between weekdays and weekends). METHODS: A total of 131 participants were included in the study. Temporal eating pattern information was collected through consecutive 7-day eat timing questionnaires and photographic food records. Body composition was assessed by bioelectrical impedance analysis. Multiple linear regression models were used to evaluate the relationships of temporal eating patterns with body composition, and age was adjusted. Eating midpoint was additionally adjusted in the analysis of eating window. RESULTS: On weekdays, both later first eating occasion and last eating occasion were associated with lower lean mass, and longer eating window was associated with lower body fat percentage. On weekends, both later first eating occasion and last eating occasion were associated with lower lean mass, and longer eating window was associated with higher FFMI. Longer first eating occasion jet lag was associated with lower lean mass. CONCLUSION: Our study suggested that earlier and more regular eating patterns may have a benefit on body composition.

RESUMO

Introduction: The Crimean-Congo hemorrhagic fever virus (CCHFV), the most geographically widespread tick-borne virus, is endemic in Africa, Eastern Europe and Asia, with infection resulting in mortality in up to 30% of cases. Currently, there are no approved vaccines or effective therapies available for CCHF. The CCHFV should only be manipulated in the BSL-4 laboratory, which has severely hampered basic seroprevalence studies. Methods: In the present study, two antibody detection methods in the forms of an enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA) and a surrogate virus neutralization test (sPVNT) were developed using a recombinant glycoprotein (rGP) and a vesicular stomatitis virus (VSV)-based virus bearing the CCHFV recombinant glycoprotein (rVSV/CCHFV) in a biosafety level 2 (BSL-2) laboratory, respectively. Results: The rGP-based ELISA and rVSV/CCHFV-based sVNT were established by using the anti-CCHFV pre-GC mAb 11E7, known as a broadly cross-reactive, potently neutralizing antibody, and their applications as diagnostic antigens were validated for the specific detection of CCHFV IgG and neutralizing antibodies in experimental animals. In two tests, mAb clone 11E7 (diluted at 1:163840 or 512) still displayed positive binding and neutralization, and the presence of antibodies (IgG and neutralizing) against the rGP and rVSV/CCHFV was also determined in the sera from the experimental animals. Both mAb 11E7 and animal sera showed a high reactivity to both antigens, indicating that bacterially expressed rGP and rVSV/CCHFV have good immunoreactivity. Apart from establishing two serological testing methods, their results also demonstrated an imperfect correlation between IgG and neutralizing antibodies. Discussion: Within this limited number of samples, the rGP and rVSV/CCHFV could be safe and convenient tools with significant potential for research on specific antibodies and serological samples.

RESUMO

BACKGROUND: This study aimed to investigate the utilization rate and equity of health examination service among the middle-aged and elderly population in China from 2011 to 2018. The contribution of various determinants to the inequity in health examination service utilization was also examined. METHODS: Data from the China Health and Retirement Longitudinal Survey (CHARLS) were analyzed to assess the health examination service utilization rate among the middle-aged and elderly population. A concentration curve and concentration index were employed to measure the equity of health examination service utilization and decomposed into its determining factors. Horizontal inequity index was applied to evaluate the trends in equity of health examination service. RESULTS: The health examination service utilization rates among the middle-aged and elderly population were 29.45%, 20.69%, 25.40%, and 32.05% in 2011, 2013, 2015, and 2018, respectively. The concentration indexes for health examination service utilization were 0.0080 (95% CI: - 0.0084, 0.0244), 0.0155 (95% CI: - 0.0054, 0.0363), 0.0095 (95% CI: - 0.0088, 0.0277), and - 0.0100 (95% CI: - 0.0254, 0.0054) from 2011 to 2018, respectively. The horizontal inequity index was positive from 2011 to 2018, evidencing a pro-rich inequity trend. Age, residence, education, region, and economic status were the major identified contributors influencing the equity of health examination service utilization. CONCLUSIONS: A pro-rich inequity existed in health examination service utilization among the middle-aged and elderly population in China. Reducing the wealth and regional gap, providing equal educational opportunities, and strengthening the capacity for chronic disease prevention and control are crucial for reducing the inequity in health examination service utilization.

RESUMO

Surface subsidence pits formed by mining disturbance are highly susceptible to slope instability under rainfall erosion, inducing underground debris flow disasters. To prevent and control underground debris flow disasters in a subsidence area, a test model of subsidence pit slope was established in accordance with the principle of similar simulation, and the erosion-resistant performance of moraine-cured slopes with different soil-slurry ratios and the law of runoff and sand production were investigated through the simulation of artificial rainfall and a simulation test of grouting. Results show that the initial rainfall production time increases exponentially with increasing soil-slurry ratio, while sediment production intensity decreases linearly with increasing rainfall duration. The evolution of soil erosion can be divided into five stages: impact infiltration, water-filled softening, stripping cutting, migration crossing, and steady flow equilibrium. Compared with in situ moraine, moraine particles after grouting between the generation of large amounts of Si-O-Si and Si-OH hydration products become loose and porous soil medium is transformed into a dense cemented structure. The soil-slurry ratio is 5:1, the sand-fixing effect increases by 28.8 times, the resistance of permeability increases by 11.3 times, and the grouting curing effect is remarkable. This study can provide technical support for the prevention and control of geological disasters in subsidence pits.

RESUMO

Background: To explore the relationship between homocysteine (Hcy) and cardiac surgery-associated acute kidney injury (AKI). Methods: A total of 944 patients who underwent cardiac surgery were enrolled. The association between Hcy levels and the risk of cardiac surgery-associated AKI was evaluated. Results: A total of 135 patients were diagnosed with AKI and the prevalence of AKI was 14.30%. The AKI group had significantly higher levels of Hcy compared with the non-AKI group (16.90 vs 13.56 umol/l; p < 0.001). The incidence rates of AKI increased from 7.2% to 26.72% across increasing Hcy quartiles (p < 0.001). Compared with the first Hcy quartile group, the odds ratio of cardiac surgery-associated AKI was 4.43 (95% CI: 2.27-8.66) in the highest Hcy group. Conclusion: Elevated Hcy level is an independent risk factor for cardiac surgery-associated AKI.

RESUMO

BACKGROUND: Laparoscopic radical gastrectomy is widely used, and perioperative complications have become a highly concerned issue. AIM: To develop a predictive model for complications in laparoscopic radical gastrectomy for gastric cancer to better predict the likelihood of complications in gastric cancer patients within 30 days after surgery, guide perioperative treatment strategies for gastric cancer patients, and prevent serious complications. METHODS: In total, 998 patients who underwent laparoscopic radical gastrectomy for gastric cancer at 16 Chinese medical centers were included in the training group for the complication model, and 398 patients were included in the validation group. The clinicopathological data and 30-d postoperative complications of gastric cancer patients were collected. Three machine learning methods, lasso regression, random forest, and artificial neural networks, were used to construct postoperative complication prediction models for laparoscopic distal gastrectomy and laparoscopic total gastrectomy, and their prediction efficacy and accuracy were evaluated. RESULTS: The constructed complication model, particularly the random forest model, could better predict serious complications in gastric cancer patients undergoing laparoscopic radical gastrectomy. It exhibited stable performance in external validation and is worthy of further promotion in more centers. CONCLUSION: Using the risk factors identified in multicenter datasets, highly sensitive risk prediction models for complications following laparoscopic radical gastrectomy were established. We hope to facilitate the diagnosis and treatment of preoperative and postoperative decision-making by using these models.

RESUMO

Despite their importance for immunity against sexually transmitted infections, the composition of female reproductive tract (FRT) memory T-cell populations in response to changes within the local tissue environment under the regulation of the menstrual cycle remains poorly defined. Here, we show that in humans and pig-tailed macaques, the cycle determines distinct clusters of differentiation 4 T-cell surveillance behaviors by subsets corresponding to migratory memory (TMM) and resident memory T cells. TMM displays tissue-itinerant trafficking characteristics, restricted distribution within the FRT microenvironment, and distinct effector responses to infection. Gene pathway analysis by RNA sequencing identified TMM-specific enrichment of genes involved in hormonal regulation and inflammatory responses. FRT T-cell subset fluctuations were discovered that synchronized to cycle-driven CCR5 signaling. Notably, oral administration of a CCR5 antagonist drug blocked TMM trafficking. Taken together, this study provides novel insights into the dynamic nature of FRT memory CD4 T cells and identifies the menstrual cycle as a key regulator of immune surveillance at the site of STI pathogen exposure.

RESUMO

Nipah virus (NiV) causes severe, lethal encephalitis in humans and pigs. However, there is no licensed vaccine available to prevent NiV infection. In this study, we used the reverse genetic system based on the attenuated rabies virus strain SRV9 to construct two recombinant viruses, rSRV9-NiV-F and rSRV9-NiV-G, which displayed the NiV envelope glycoproteins F and G, respectively. Following three immunizations in BALB/c mice, the inactivated rSRV9-NiV-F and rSRV9-NiV-G alone or in combination, mixed with the adjuvants ISA 201 VG and poly (I:C), were able to induce the antigen-specific cellular and Th1-biased humoral immune responses. The specific antibodies against rSRV9-NiV-F and rSRV9-NiV-G had reactivity with two constructed bacterial-like particles displaying the F and G antigens of NiV. These data demonstrate that rSRV9-NiV-F or rSRV9-NiV-G has the potential to be developed into a promising vaccine candidate against NiV infection.

RESUMO

Background: Indocyanine green (ICG) fluorescence navigation can enhance the visualization of gastric cancer (GC) lesions, increase the lymph node detection rate, and reduce the incidence of anastomotic leakage in the treatment of GC. It thus holds considerable potential for application in GC clinical surgery and has attracted widespread research interest. The purpose of this study was to visualize the current topics and emerging trends in research regarding ICG in GC. Methods: We searched the Web of Science Core Collection (WoSCC) for articles relevant to the use of ICG in GC. The resulting information was then analyzed from a bibliometric and knowledge graph analysis perspective using CiteSpace, Scimago Graphica, and R Studio so that the key trends and hot spots in research within this field could be identified and visualized. Results: Ultimately, 1,385 papers from 58 countries or regions published from 1991 to 2022 were included in this study. The largest number of publications were from China, followed by Japan and the United States. High-yield institutions were concentrated in Asian countries, especially China. The top publication contributors were Shanghai Jiao Tong University. Li Y and Bang YJ ranked first among the top 10 most productive authors and top 10 most cocited authors, respectively. World Journal of Gastroenterology was the most productive academic journal on ICG in GC, while Cancer Research was the most commonly cocited journal. The keyword "indocyanine green" was among the top 5 keywords, and will likely remain a popular topic in future research. Furthermore, the emerging themes including surgery, biopsy, lymphadenectomy, dissection, and gastrectomy have attracted increasing attention. Conclusions: Current research hotspots in this area focus on the clinical implementation of ICG in precision surgery for GC. Given the imaging tracer characteristics of ICG and its utility in GC surgery, the optimization and application of ICG-guided precision surgery techniques for GC will be a research hot spot going forward.

RESUMO

Low-cycle fatigue testing was carried out for the welded joints of constructional steels containing 0% V + 0.0021% N and 0.10% V + 0.0078% N, and the effects of V-N microalloying on the low-cycle fatigue property of the welded joints were investigated. The results showed that when the total strain amplitudes were 1.2%, 1.4% and 1.6%, the mean low-cycle fatigue lives of the welded joints of steel containing 0.10% V + 0.0078% N were 5050, 2372 and 1535 cycles, respectively, which were significantly higher than those of the welded joints of steel containing 0% V + 0.0021% N; however, when the total strain amplitudes increased to 1.8% and 2.0%, the mean low-cycle fatigue lives of the welded joints of steel containing 0.10% V + 0.0078% N were 575 and 367 cycles, respectively, which were gradually lower than those of the welded joints of steel containing 0% V + 0.0021% N. The reasons causing the difference of low-cycle fatigue life were explained by the dislocation structure and precipitates in the welding heat-affected zone, plastic strain energy density of the welded joints, and fatigue fracture morphology. When the low-cycle fatigue life is between 100 and 200 cycles, the cyclic toughness of the welded joint of steel containing 0.10% V + 0.0078% N is between 57.48 and 78.22 J/cm3, which is higher than that of the welded joint of steel containing 0% V + 0.0021% N, indicating that the welded joint of steel containing 0.10% V + 0.0078% N is able to absorb more energy in a seismic condition, therefore possessing better seismic resistance.

RESUMO

The development of precise climate risk zoning for chilling injury of Morchella esculenta can provide scientific basis for agricultural cultivation planning, dynamic assessment of chilling injury, and disaster prevention strategies. Based on meteorological data from 17 counties (cities) that located below the altitude of 3000 m in the Western Sichuan Plateau from 2011 to 2020, we analyzed the critical meteorological conditions for M. esculenta disasters in typical years. With the average yearly cold accumulation and cold injury frequency during the first day when the temperature remained stable between 5 ℃ and 10 ℃ during mushroom emergence as zoning indicators, we established a geographical spatial distribution model of the cold injury index, and then divided the risk level of M. esculenta cold injury in the Western Sichuan Plateau, evaluated the risk of cold injury. The results showed that the temperature index for chilling injury risk of M. esculenta in the study area was the daily minimum temperature ≤2.0 ℃. The daily average temperature <6.0 ℃ would cause slow growth or the cessation of growth, which was set as a warning indicator for chilling injury risk. Along the Dadu River and Minjiang River basins, the frequency of chilling injury on M. esculenta increased from south to north. Wenchuan, Maoxian, and Lixian had the fewest overall chilling injuries during the study period, whereas Jiulong, Yajiang, and Batang had the most. The duration for cold injury was mainly 1-3 d, followed by 4-5 d, and rarely for >5 d. The frequency of chilling injury lasting for more than 5 d in Xiangcheng, Batang, Jiulong, Yajiang, and Xiaojin was more than that lasting for 4-5 d. The annual average days of chilling injury of was 3.0-27.4 d, the daily average minimum temperature was -0.84-1.36 ℃, the extreme lowest temperature was -5.8-0.1 ℃, and the average accumulated cold was 0.16-9.64 ℃·d during the period of chilling injury. With the increases of elevation and latitude, the average days of chilling injury and the average accumulated cold increased. The largest duration of chilling injury was 3-20 d, the maximum accumulated cold was 0.44-13.34 ℃·d. The risk of chilling injury to M. esculenta increased from south to north and from low elevation to high elevation. The suitable planting areas were distributed in strips and branches along the direction of mountains and rivers, mainly in the flat areas of low mountains and valleys below the altitude of 2200 m, including Kangding, Luding, Danba, Wenchuan, Lixian, Maoxian, Jiuzhaigou, and Songpan.

RESUMO

Helicobacter pylori (HP) is a gram-negative and spiral-shaped bacterium colonizing the human stomach and has been recognized as the risk factor of gastritis, peptic ulcer disease, and gastric cancer (GC). Moreover, it was recently identified as a class I carcinogen, which affects the occurrence and progression of GC via inducing various oncogenic pathways. Therefore, identifying the HP-related key genes is crucial for understanding the oncogenic mechanisms and improving the outcomes of GC patients. We retrieved the list of HP-related gene sets from the Molecular Signatures Database. Based on the HP-related genes, unsupervised non-negative matrix factorization (NMF) clustering method was conducted to stratify TCGA-STAD, GSE15459, GSE84433 samples into two clusters with distinct clinical outcomes and immune infiltration characterization. Subsequently, two machine learning (ML) strategies, including support vector machine-recursive feature elimination (SVM-RFE) and random forest (RF), were employed to determine twelve hub HP-related genes. Beyond that, receiver operating characteristic and Kaplan-Meier curves further confirmed the diagnostic value and prognostic significance of hub genes. Finally, expression of HP-related hub genes was tested by qRT-PCR array and immunohistochemical images. Additionally, functional pathway enrichment analysis indicated that these hub genes were implicated in the genesis and progression of GC by activating or inhibiting the classical cancer-associated pathways, such as epithelial-mesenchymal transition, cell cycle, apoptosis, RAS/MAPK, etc. In the present study, we constructed a novel HP-related tumor classification in different datasets, and screened out twelve hub genes via performing the ML algorithms, which may contribute to the molecular diagnosis and personalized therapy of GC.

RESUMO

OBJECTIVE: To compare the biomechanical performance of the hybrid lumbar fixation technique with the traditional and cortical bone trajectory techniques using the finite element method. METHODS: Four adult wet lumbar spine specimens were provided by the Department of Anatomy and Research of Xinjiang Medical University, and four L1-S1 lumbar spine with transforaminal lumbar interbody fusion (TLIF) models at L4-L5 segment and four different fixation techniques were established: bilateral traditional trajectory screw fixation (TT-TT), bilateral cortical bone trajectory screw fixation (CBT-CBT), hybrid CBT-TT (CBT screws at L4 and TT screws at L5) and TT-CBT (TT screws at L4 and CBT screws at L5). The range of motion (ROM) of the L4-L5 segment, von Mises stress of cage, internal fixation, and rod were compared in flexion, extension, left and right bending, and left and right rotation. RESULTS: Compared with the TT-TT group, the TT-CBT group exhibited lower ROM of L4-L5 segment, especially in left-sided bending; the CBT-TT group had the lowest ROM of L4-L5 segment in flexion and extension among the four fixation methods. Compared with the CBT-CBT group, the peak cage stress in the TT-CBT group was reduced by 9.9%, 18.1%, 21.5%, 23.3%, and 26.1% in flexion, left bending, right bending, left rotation, and right rotation conditions, respectively, but not statistically significant (P > 0.05). The peak stress of the internal fixation system in the TT-CBT group was significantly lower than the other three fixation methods in all five conditions except for extension, with a statistically significant difference between the CBT-TT and TT-CBT groups in the left rotation condition (P = 0.017). In addition, compared with the CBT-CBT group, the peak stress of the rod in the CBT-TT group decreased by 34.8%, 32.1%, 28.2%, 29.3%, and 43.0% under the six working conditions of flexion, extension, left bending, left rotation, and right rotation, respectively, but not statistically significant (P > 0.05). CONCLUSIONS: Compared with the TT-TT and CBT-CBT fixation methods in TLIF, the hybrid lumbar fixation CBT-TT and TT-CBT techniques increase the biomechanical stability of the internal fixation structure of the lumbar fusion segment to a certain extent and provide a corresponding theoretical basis for further development in the clinic.

RESUMO

BACKGROUND: Soluble epoxide hydrolase (sEH) is a key enzyme for the hydrolysis of epoxyeicosatrienoic acids (EETs) and has been implicated in the pathogenesis of hepatic inflammation, fibrosis, cancer, and nonalcoholic fatty liver disease. However, the role of sEH in liver regeneration and injury remains unclear. METHODS: This study used sEH-deficient (sEH-/-) mice and wild-type (WT) mice. Hepatocyte proliferation was assessed by immunohistochemical (IHC) staining for Ki67. Liver injury was evaluated by histological staining with hematoxylin and eosin (H&E), Masson's trichrome, and Sirius red, as well as IHC staining for α-SMA. Hepatic macrophage infiltration and angiogenesis were reflected by IHC staining for CD68 and CD31. Liver angiocrine levels were detected by ELISA. The mRNA levels of angiocrine or cell cycle-related genes were measured by quantitative real-time RT-PCR (qPCR). The protein levels of cell proliferation-related protein and phosphorylated signal transducer and activator of transcription 3 (STAT3) were detected by western blotting. RESULTS: sEH mRNA and protein levels were significantly upregulated in mice after 2/3 partial hepatectomy (PHx). Compared with WT mice, sEH-/- mice exhibited a higher liver/body weight ratio and more Ki67-positive cells on days 2 and 3 after PHx. The accelerated liver regeneration in sEH-/- mice was attributed to angiogenesis and endothelial-derived angiocrine (HGF) production. Subsequently, hepatic protein expression of cyclinD1 (CYCD1) and the downstream direct targets of the STAT3 pathway, such as c-fos, c-jun, and c-myc, were also suppressed post-PHx in sEH-/- compared to WT mice. Furthermore, sEH deficiency attenuated CCl4-induced acute liver injury and reduced fibrosis in both CCl4 and bile duct ligation (BDL)-induced liver fibrosis rodent models. Compared with WT mice, sEH-/- mice had slightly decreased hepatic macrophage infiltration and angiogenesis. Meanwhile, sEH-/- BDL mice had more Ki67-positive cells in the liver than WT BDL mice. CONCLUSIONS: sEH deficiency alters the angiocrine profile of liver endothelial to accelerate hepatocyte proliferation and liver regeneration, and blunts acute liver injury and fibrosis by inhibiting inflammation and angiogenesis. sEH inhibition is a promising target for liver diseases to improve liver regeneration and damage.

RESUMO

""We employed radiomics and clinical features to develop and validate a preoperative prediction model to estimate the omental metastases status of locally advanced gastric cancer (LAGC). A total of 460 patients (training cohort, n = 250; test cohort, n = 106; validation cohort, n = 104) with LAGC who were confirmed T3/T4 stage by postoperative pathology were continuously collected retrospectively, including clinical data and preoperative arterial phase computed tomography images (APCT). Dedicated radiomics prototype software was used to segment the lesions and extract features from the preoperative APCT images. The least absolute shrinkage and selection operator (LASSO) regression was used to select the extracted radiomics features, and a radiomics score model was constructed. Finally, a prediction model of omental metastases status and a nomogram were constructed combining the radiomics scores and selected clinical features. An area under the curve (AUC) of the receiver operating characteristic curve (ROC) was used to validate the capability of the prediction model and nomogram in the training cohort. Calibration curves and decision curve analysis (DCA) were used to evaluate the prediction model and nomogram. The prediction model was internally validated by the test cohort. In addition, 104 patients from another hospital's clinical and imaging data were gathered for external validation. In the training cohort, the combined prediction (CP) model (AUC 0.871, 95% CI 0.798-0.945) of the radiomics scores combined with the clinical features, compared with clinical features prediction (CFP) model (AUC 0.795, 95% CI 0.710-0.879) and radiomics scores prediction (RSP) model (AUC 0.805, 95% CI 0.730-0.879), had the better predictive ability. The Hosmer-Lemeshow test of the CP model showed that the prediction model did not deviate from the perfect fitting (p = 0.893). In the DCA, the clinical net benefit of the CP model was higher than that of the CFP model and RSP model. In the test and validation cohorts, the AUC values of the CP model were 0.836 (95% CI 0.726-0.945) and 0.779 (95% CI 0.634-0.923), respectively. The preoperative APCT-based clinical-radiomics nomogram showed good performance in predicting omental metastases status in LAGC, which may contribute to clinical decision-making.

RESUMO

It is a challenging task to directly apply emulsified silicone oil to the surface of cotton fabric to obtain superhydrophobic properties. In this work, a temperature-responsive microgel was first synthesized and the particle size and distribution of the microgel, thermo-responsiveness, and hydrophobicity of the microgel membrane were investigated. Then, through an emulsifying PMHS/water system with microgels as a Pickering emulsifier, a series of Pickering emulsions were obtained. The results showed that the emulsion had the best stability when the microgel content was 2.14 wt% and the mass ratio of PMHS/water was 3/7. The optical microscopy showed that the oil phase could be uniformly dispersed in aqueous solution, and the liquid phase particle size was about 10-22 µm. And stratification of the Pickering emulsion did not occur when placed at room temperature for over one month. Finally, when the addition of Pickering emulsion is 50 g L-1 and the rolling rate is 80%, through a simple two-dip-two-padding treatment, a cotton fabric can obtain the superhydrophobic effect with a static contact angle of 149.6° at 25 °C and 156.4° at 45 °C. The development of this work provides a simple method to make cotton fabric obtain superhydrophobic effects.

RESUMO

Background: Colorectal cancer (CRC) has the third-highest incidence and second-highest mortality rate of all cancers worldwide. Early diagnosis and screening of CRC have been the focus of research in this field. With the continuous development of artificial intelligence (AI) technology, AI has advantages in many aspects of CRC, such as adenoma screening, genetic testing, and prediction of tumor metastasis. Objective: This study uses bibliometrics to analyze research in AI in CRC, summarize the field's history and current status of research, and predict future research directions. Method: We searched the SCIE database for all literature on CRC and AI. The documents span the period 2002-2022. we used bibliometrics to analyze the data of these papers, such as authors, countries, institutions, and references. Co-authorship, co-citation, and co-occurrence analysis were the main methods of analysis. Citespace, VOSviewer, and SCImago Graphica were used to visualize the results. Result: This study selected 1,531 articles on AI in CRC. China has published a maximum number of 580 such articles in this field. The U.S. had the most quality publications, boasting an average citation per article of 46.13. Mori Y and Ding K were the two authors with the highest number of articles. Scientific Reports, Cancers, and Frontiers in Oncology are this field's most widely published journals. Institutions from China occupy the top 9 positions among the most published institutions. We found that research on AI in this field mainly focuses on colonoscopy-assisted diagnosis, imaging histology, and pathology examination. Conclusion: AI in CRC is currently in the development stage with good prospects. AI is currently widely used in colonoscopy, imageomics, and pathology. However, the scope of AI applications is still limited, and there is a lack of inter-institutional collaboration. The pervasiveness of AI technology is the main direction of future housing development in this field.

RESUMO

Identifying traffic congestion accurately is crucial for improving the expressway service level. Because the distributions of microscopic traffic quantities are highly sensitive to slight changes, the traffic congestion measurement is affected by many factors. As an essential part of the expressway, service areas should be considered when measuring the traffic state. Although existing studies pay increasing attention to service areas, the impact caused by service areas is hard to measure for evaluating traffic congestion events. By merging ETC transaction datasets and service area entrance data, this work proposes a traffic congestion measurement with the influence of expressway service areas. In this model, the traffic congestion with the influence of service areas is corrected by three modules: 1) the pause rate prediction module; 2) the fitting module for the relationship between effect and pause rate; 3) the measurement module with correction terms. Extensive experiments were conducted on the real dataset of the Fujian Expressway, and the results show that the proposed method can be applied to measure the effect caused by service areas in the absence of service area entry data. The model can also provide references for other traffic indicator measurements under the effect of the service area.

RESUMO

The alkaline hydrogen evolution reaction (HER) is of great significance for the large-scale green H2 production. Currently, pressing challenges in the fabrication of cost-effective HER electrocatalysts are related to their sluggish water dissociation kinetics. Herein, a facile strategy to accelerate the desorption of HER intermediates and water dissociation is proposed. RuNi nanoalloy confined within N-doped carbon shells (Ru7 Ni3 @NC/C) with optimized Ru/Ni ratio and the dicyandiamide dosage was prepared. It displays an overpotential (η10 ) of 16 mV, Tafel slope of 29.9 mV dec-1 , and long-term stability over 10 000 cycles. The decent HER performance on Ru7 Ni3 @NC/C stems from the core-shell structure that is favoring the exposure of dispersed active sites, and the synergistic effect to promote water capture and dissociation. This work provides insight into the relationship between the HER performance and the electrochemical behavior of the intermediate adsorbed state, and paves an avenue toward rational design efficient electrocatalysts for HER.
