RESUMO
Parathyroid carcinoma is a rare disease, difficult to diagnose and associated with a poor prognosis. It must be suspected preoperatively, based on clinical and imaging grounds, in order to perform the best surgical option and avoid compromising patient's prognosis.

Hemangiolymphangioma is a very rare benign vascular tumor that affects the gastrointestinal tract in less than 1% of cases. We present the case of an asymptomatic 52-year-old female referred for endoscopic colorectal cancer screening. A sub-epithelial pediculated polypoid lesion in the splenic angle of the colon was identified. An endoscopic ultrasonography with a miniprobe was performed, which identified an anechoic lesion in the submucosal layer. Surgery was performed and the histologic findings were compatible with two hemangiolymphangioma lesions. This is one of the few cases reported in the literature of hemangiolymphangioma diagnosed by miniprobe endoscopic ultrasonography and the first to describe two lesions in the same patient

Epithelioid sarcoma of the vulva is a very rare malignant soft tissue tumour, usually initially asymptomatic, which simulates a variety of benign lesions, leading to diagnosis only at later stages. Prognosis is generally poor. We report a case of a 55-year-old postmenopausal woman, who presented with rapid growth of an asymptomatic mass located in the left labia majora. Biopsy of the lesion revealed features characteristic of proximal-type epithelioid sarcoma. Ganglionar, adrenal, pulmonary and hepatic metastases were found at thoracoabdominopelvic CT scan. During hospitalisation, the patient's clinical condition suffered rapid deterioration and she died on the 16th day of admission.

We present the case of a 84 year-old man from north Portugal with chronic myelomonocytic leukaemia (diagnosed 2 years ago), treated with erythropoietin and hydroxyurea. The patient was referred to our department due to brown macules, papules and patches with a smooth surface and whitish scaling, located in the lower limbs that had appeared two months ago. The diagnosis of Kaposi's sarcoma was histologically confirmed. He was HIV-1/HIV-2 negative and had no analytic detectable immussupression. The patient died a short time after the diagnosis before we could start treatment.

OBJECTIVE: To present a case of tubulovillous renal pelvis adenocarcinoma. METHODS/RESULTS: An 81 year-old patient presented at Emergency Department with sepsis. CT scan showed a staghorn calculus with signs suggestive of pyonefrosis. A nephrectomy was performed and pathological exam revealed tubulovillous renal pelvis adenocarcinoma. CONCLUSIONS: Renal pelvis adenocarcinoma is a rare disease. It is usually accompanied by chronic urinary infections, on inflammatory state and staghorn calculi. The best therapeutic option is nephrectomy and the prognosis is poor.
