RESUMO
Background: The genus Selenocosmia Ausserer, 1871 includes 39 species. Five species were known from China. This genus has not been found in south-eastern China. New information: A new species of the genus Selenocosmia Ausserer, 1871 is described from China: Selenocosmiazhangzhengi Lin, sp. n. from Fujian. Photos and a morphological description of the new species are given. The type specimen of the new species is deposited in the Institute of Zoology, Chinese Academy of Sciences in Beiing (IZCAS).
RESUMO
Background: Haplocosmia Schmidt & von Wirth, 1996 is a small genus distributed in the Himalayas that includes two species. This genus has not been found in China (Li et al. 2021, Yao et al. 2021, Zhao et al. 2022). New information: A new species of the genus Haplocosmia is described from China: Haplocosmiasherwoodae sp. n. from Tibet. Photos and a morphological description of the new species are given. The type specimen of the new species is deposited in the Institute of Zoology, Chinese Academy of Sciences in Beijing (IZCAS).
RESUMO
BACKGROUND: The genus Cyclocosmia Ausserer, 1871 of the spider family Halonoproctidae Pocock, 1901 includes ten known species from North America and Asia. Since Cyclocosmiaricketti was described by Pocock in 1901, no males of this species have ever been reported. NEW INFORMATION: The male of Cyclocosmiaricketti is described for the first time, based on a specimen collected near the type locality in Fujian Province, China. A morphological description and illustrations are given.
RESUMO
Background: Troglomorphism is rare known in Mygalomorphae. Only three troglomorphic mygalomorphs have been recorded in China: Raveniolabeelzebub Lin & Li, 2020, R.lamia Yu & Zhang, 2021 and Sinopesagollum Lin & Li, 2021. New information: A new troglobiontic species of the genus Raveniola is described from China: R.yangren sp. n. (female) from Hunan. Photos and morphological description of the new species are given. This new species has elongated appendages and degenerated eyes in order to adapt to the cave environment. It can be distinguished by the stubby, unbranched spermathecae from other Raveniola.
RESUMO
Background: The theraphosid spider genus Chilobrachys Karsch, 1892 contains 30 species, almost entirely limited to Indochina, India, Sri Lanka and China. Six species of Chilobrachys are currently known from China: C.dominus Lin & Li, 2022 (Yunnan), C.guangxiensis (Yin & Tan, 2000) (Guangxi, Hainan), C.hubei Song & Zhao, 1988 (Hubei, Chongqing), C.jinchengi Lin & Li, 2022 (Tibet), C.liboensis Zhu & Zhang, 2008 (Guizhou, Guangxi) and C.lubricus Yu et al., 2021 (Yunnan). New information: A new species, Chilobrachysqishuoi Lin & Li, sp. n., is described from Guangdong, China, on the basis of both sexes. This is the easternmost Chilobrachys species known. Photos and a morphological description of the new species are provided. Type materials are deposited in the Institute of Zoology, Chinese Academy of Sciences (IZCAS) in Beijing, China.
RESUMO
Tibetyrus formicarius Yin Lin, gen. et sp. nov., a new myrmecophilous genus and species of the pselaphine tribe Tyrini, is described from southeastern Xizang, China. Three adults were collected in nests of a Formica ant species (Hymenoptera: Formicidae) at an altitude of 3,485 m. Tibetyrus is similar to Megatyrus Hlavác Nomura in sharing the basally pedunculate maxillary palpi that lack an apical cone on the fourth palpomeres. Nevertheless, it can be readily separated from the latter and all other genera of the tribe by its unique suite of morphological features as well as a highly recognizable habitus.

Two new species of the genus Thelcticopis Karsch, 1884, T. dahanensis Zhu & Zhong, sp. nov. (â) and T. unciformis Zhu & Zhong, sp. nov. (â), are described and figured from Taiwan Island. Thelcticopis severa (L. Koch, 1875) is recorded from Guangdong and Fujian provinces for the first time. So far, Thelcticopis, including four species from China, is mainly distributed in the tropical or subtropical areas of China (Hainan, Taiwan, Yunnan, Guangdong, Fujian).
RESUMO
The male of Barylestissaaristoi Jäger, 2008 is described for the first time from Menglun Town, Yunnan Province, China. This is the first record of this genus from China. An illustrated morphological description of this species is given.
RESUMO
The spider genus Plator Simon (1880) is a small and little-known group in the spider family Trochanteriidae. Species of Plator are called flat-spiders in Chinese for the extremely flat habitus (Zhu & Wang 1963). Up to now, 11 Plator species have been recorded from India, China, Korea and Japan. Six of them, P. insolens Simon (1880), P. pandeae Tikader (1969), P. pennatus Platnick (1976), P. sinicus Zhu & Wang (1963), P. yunlong Zhu et al. (2006) and P. bowo Zhu et al. (2006) are reported from China (World Spider Catalog 2016). Zhu et al. (2006) suggested two species groups for at least all Chinese Plator species, the P. insolens group and the P. pennatus group. The former can be recognized by the absence of RTA of male pedipalp, and the narrow first windings of the copulatory duct system of female epigyne and the latter, distinguished by the presence of RTA and the broad first windings of the copulatory duct system.
