RESUMO

The robust Kalman filter with correntropy loss has received much attention in recent years for forecasting-aided state estimation in power systems, since it efficiently reduces the negative influence of various abnormal situations, such as non-Gaussian communication, changing environment, and instrument failures, and obviously improves the stability of power systems. However, the existing correntropy-based robust Kalman filters usually use the Gaussian function with a fixed center as the kernel function in correntropy, which may not be a suitable choice in practical applications of power system forecasting-aided state estimation (PSSE). To address this issue, a new and robust unscented Kalman filter, called the maximum correntropy with variable center unscented Kalman filter (MCVUKF), is proposed in this paper for PSSE. Specifically, MCVUKF adopts an extended version of correntropy, whose center can be located at any position, to replace the original correntropy in an unscented Kalman filter to improve the performance in PSSE. Moreover, by using an exponential function of the innovation vector to adjust a covariance matrix, an enhanced MCVUKF (En-MCVUKF) method is also developed for suppressing the influence of bad data to the innovation vector and further improving the accuracy of PSSE. Finally, extensive simulations have been conducted on IEEE 14-bus, 30-bus, and 57-bus test power systems, and the simulation results have shown the superiority of the proposed MCVUKF and En-MCVUKF methods compared with several related state-of-the-art Kalman filter methods.

Nicotine withdrawal symptoms, mainly anxiety, cause high level of relapse rate after quitting smoking. Vitamin D supplementation has shown its potential for the prevention and treatment of anxiety disorders; however, neurobiological studies about the effect of vitamin D on nicotine withdrawal-induced anxiety are limited. To investigate the effect and molecular mechanism of vitamin D3 supplement by dietary on anxiety-like behavior during nicotine withdrawal, male C57/BL6 mice were divided into four groups: vehicle, nicotine only, vitamin D3 only, and nicotine plus vitamin D3. Mice were administrated with nicotine in drinking water (200 µg/mL), and vitamin D3 in feed for 6 weeks. During nicotine withdrawal, vitamin D3-treated mice showed significantly less anxiety-like behavior by an open-field test and marble buried test that performed an increase in the duration of the central zone and a decrease buried marble, respectively. Moreover, vitamin D3 supplementation attenuated the hippocampal NR2A expression on both protein and mRNA levels in nicotine and vitamin D3-treated mice. Our data showed that dietary supplementation with vitamin D3 ameliorated nicotine withdrawal-induced anxiety, which may be related to downregulation of NR2A expression in hippocampus. Vitamin D3 may provide a new dietary intervention with the easy access for smoking cessation.

RESUMO

High-efficiency, thermally activated delayed-fluorescence organic light-emitting diodes based on exciplex emitters are demonstrated. The best device, based on a TAPC:DPTPCz emitter, shows a high external quantum efficiency of 15.4%. Strategies for predicting and designing efficient exciplex emitters are also provided. This approach allow prediction and design of efficient exciplex emitters for achieving high-efficiency organic light-emitting diodes, for future use in displays and lighting applications.

Recently, bipolar host materials have attracted considerable attention because they can achieve balanced charge injection/transport in phosphorescent organic light emitting diodes (PhOLEDs) and consequently obtain excellent device performance. In this work, two bipolar host materials, namely, 3-(4,6-diphenyl-1,3,5-triazin-2-yl)-9-phenyl-9H-carbazole (DPTPCz) and 3-(4,6-diphenoxy-1,3,5-triazin-2-yl)-9-phenyl-9H-carbazole (DPOTPCz), have been designed, synthesized and characterized. With high triplet energy levels of 2.78 and 2.86 eV for DPTPCz and DPOTPCz, respectively, two compounds are considered promising bipolar host materials for PhOLEDs. Blue and green PhOLEDs based on these two new compounds show excellent performances. The phosphorescent devices based on DPTPCz exhibit maximum external quantum efficiencies of 14.4% (for blue device) and 21.2% (for green device), and maintain high efficiencies of 11.9% and 20.0% even at a high luminance of 10,000 cd m(-2).

The teeth of the Polyplacophora Chiton Acanthochiton Rubrolinestus contain biomineralized magnetite crystallites whose biological functions in relation to structure and magnetic properties are not well understood. Here, using superconducting quantum interference device (SQUID) magnetometry, we find that the saturation magnetization (σ(s)) and the Verwey transition temperature (T(v)) of tooth particles are 78.4 emu/g and 105 K, respectively. These values are below those of the stoichiometric magnetite. An in situ examination of the structure of the magnetite-bearing region within an individual tooth using high-resolution transmission electron microscopy indicates magnetite microcrystals form electron dense polycrystalline sheets with typical lengths of about 800 nm and widths of about 150 nm. These polycrystalline sheets are arranged regularly along the longitudinal direction of the tooth cutting surface. In addition, the crystallites in polycrystalline sheets take on generally good crystallinity. The magnetic microstructures of in situ magnetic force microscopy demonstrate that the [111] easy direction of magnetite microcrystals are aligned along the length of the tooth, whereas the [111] direction is parallel to the thickness of the tooth. Both Mössbauer spectra and magnetization versus temperature measurements under field cooled and zero-field cooled conditions do not detect superparamagnetic magnetite crystallites in the mature major lateral tooth particles of this chiton.

The magnetic anisotropy of the whole radula, the major lateral radula teeth, and magnetic material in the major lateral radula teeth of the chiton Acanthochiton rubrolinestus LISCHKE have been studied by a magnetic torque meter and superconducting quantum interference device (SQUID) magnetometer. The length and width axes of the teeth are the easily magnetized axes, while the thickness axis is difficult to magnetize. The width and thickness axes of the radula are the easily magnetized axes, and the length axis is difficult to magnetize. The measurement results of the whole radula and the major lateral radula teeth agree well with each other. The magnetic anisotropy of the magnetic material is given as well as a possible distribution of the magnetic material in the major lateral radula teeth.
