RESUMO

Background: Multimorbidity has become a major public health problem among Chinese middle-aged and older adults, and the most costly to the health care system. However, most previous population-based studies of multimorbidity have focused on a limited number of chronic diseases, and diagnosis was based on participants' self-report, which may oversimplify the problem. At the same time, there were few reports on the relationship between multimorbidity patterns and health care costs. This study analyzed the multimorbidity patterns and changes among middle-aged and older people in China over the past decade, and their association with medical costs, based on representative hospital electronic medical record data. Methods: Two cross-sectional surveys based on representative hospital data were used to obtain adults aged 45 years and older in Xiangyang in 2013 (n = 20,218) and 2023 (n = 63,517). Latent Class Analysis was used to analyze changes in the patterns of multimorbidity, gray correlation analysis and ordered logistics model were used to assess the association of multimorbidity patterns with medical expenses. The diagnosis and classification of chronic diseases were based on the International Classification of Diseases, Tenth Revision codes (ICD-10). Results: The detection rate of chronic disease multimorbidity has increased (70.74 vs. 76.63%, p < 0.001), and multimorbidity patterns have increased from 6 to 9 (2013: Malignant tumors pattern, non-specific multimorbidity pattern, ischemic heart disease + hypertension pattern, cerebral infarction + hypertension pattern, kidney disease + hypertension pattern, lens disease + hypertension pattern; new in 2023: Nutritional metabolism disorders + hypertension pattern, chronic lower respiratory diseases + malignant tumors pattern, and gastrointestinal diseases pattern) in China. The medical cost of all multimorbidity patients have been reduced between 2013 and 2023 (RMB: 8216.74 vs. 7247.96, IQR: 5802.28-15,737 vs. 5014.63-15434.06). The top three specific multimorbidity patterns in both surveys were malignancy tumor pattern, ischemic heart disease + hypertension pattern, and cerebral infarction + hypertension pattern. Hypertension and type 2 diabetes are important components of multimorbidity patterns. Compared with patients with a single disease, only lens disorders + hypertension pattern were at risk of higher medical costs in 2013 (aOR:1.23, 95% CI: 1.03, 1.47), whereas all multimorbidity patterns were significantly associated with increased medical costs in 2023, except for lens disorders + hypertension (aOR:0.35, 95% CI: 0.32, 0.39). Moreover, the odds of higher medical costs were not consistent across multimorbidity patterns. Among them, ischemic heart disease + hypertension pattern [adjusted odds ratio (aOR):4.66, 95%CI: 4.31, 5.05] and cerebral infarction + hypertension pattern (aOR: 3.63, 95% CI: 3.35, 3.92) were the two patterns with the highest risk. Meanwhile, men (aOR:1.12, 95CI:1.09, 1.16), no spouse (aOR:1.09, 95CI: 1.03, 1.16) had a positive effect on medical costs, while patients with total self-pay (aOR: 0.45, 95CI: 0.29, 0.70), no surgery (aOR: 0.05, 95CI: 0.05, 0.05), rural residence (aOR: 0.92, 95CI: 0.89, 0.95), hospitalization days 1-5 (aOR: 0.04, 95CI: 0.04, 0.04), and hospitalization days 6-9 (aOR: 0.15, 95CI: 0.15, 0.16) had a negative impact on medical costs. Conclusion: Multimorbidity patterns among middle-aged and older adults in China have diversified over the past decade and are associated with rising health care costs in China. Smart, decisive and comprehensive policy and care interventions are needed to effectively manage NCDS and their risk factors and to reduce the economic burden of multimorbidity on patients and the country.

PURPOSE: To identify weather variables associated with pathogens contributing to infectious conjunctivitis globally. METHODS: Sample collection and pathogen identification from patients with acute infectious conjunctivitis was performed from 2017 to 2023. We linked pathogens identified from 13 sites across 8 countries with publicly available weather data by geographic coordinates. Mixed effects logistic regression analysis was performed to estimate the associations between temperature, precipitation, and relative humidity exposures, and the prevalence of infection types (RNA virus, DNA virus, bacteria, and fungus). RESULTS: 498 cases from the United States, India, Nepal, Thailand, Burkina Faso, Niger, Vietnam, and Israel were included in the analysis. 8-day average precipitation (mm) was associated with increased odds of RNA virus infection (odds ratio (OR)=1.47, 95% confidence interval (CI): 1.12 to 1.93, P=0.01) and decreased odds of DNA infection (OR=0.62, 95% CI: 0.46 to 0.82, P<0.001). Relative humidity (%) was associated with increased odds of RNA virus infections (OR=2.64, 95% CI: 1.51 to 4.61, P<0.001), and fungal infections (OR=2.35, 95% CI: 1.19 to 4.66, P=0.01), but decreased odds of DNA virus (OR=0.58, 95%CI: 0.37 to 0.90, P=0.02) and bacterial infections (OR=0.42, 95% CI: 0.25 to 0.71, P<0.001). Temperature (°C) was not associated with ocular infections for any pathogen type. CONCLUSIONS: This study suggests that weather factors affect pathogens differently. Particularly, humidity and precipitation were predictors for pathogens contributing to conjunctivitis worldwide. Additional work is needed to clarify the effects of shifts in weather and environmental factors on ocular infectious diseases.

Strongyloides stercoralis is an important soil-transmitted helminth occurring world-wide and affecting 30-100 million people. Because many cases are asymptomatic and sensitive diagnostic methods are lacking, S. stercoralis infection is frequently underdiagnosed. The increasing incidence of autoimmune and wasting diseases and increased use of immunosuppressive agents, as well as the increased use of immunosuppressants and cytotoxic drugs, have increased S. stercoralis infection and their mortality. This review provides information about S. stercoralis epidemiology, life cycle, aetiology, pathology, comorbidities, immunology, vaccines, diagnosis, treatment, prevention, control and makes some recommendations for future prevention and control of this important parasite.

BACKGROUND: Gastroesophageal reflux disease (GERD) is a prevalent condition that manifests a spectrum of symptoms, including gastroesophageal-related cough (GERC). Anti-reflux procedures have been employed to alleviate these symptoms, yet their efficacy varies. This systematic review and meta-analysis aim to evaluate the improvement in gastroesophageal-related cough and other reflux symptoms following anti-reflux procedures. METHODS: A systematic review was performed by searching PubMed, Embase, and Cochrane Library. All observational studies reporting the improvement of GERC and other reflux symptoms after the anti-reflux procedures. Data were extracted and pooled using a random effects model to assess the overall effect size and heterogeneity between studies. We found that anti-reflux surgery has some clear benefits for common reflux-related symptoms. RESULTS: Fifty-nine eligible studies with 7431 patients with GERD were included in this study. The pooled cough remission rate was 80.0% (95%CI 75.4-84.2) and the mean time of follow up was 35.8 months. Anti-reflux surgery significantly improved overall reflux-related symptom scores (all P<0.001). We also assessed the rate of remission of other reflux symptoms. The pooled heartburn remission rate was 87.7% (95%CI 82.3-92.2) and the pooled regurgitation remission rate was 91.2%(95%CI 87.8-94.1). CONCLUSION: Anti-reflux procedures significantly improve gastroesophageal-related cough and other reflux symptoms. These findings support the use of anti-reflux procedures as a viable treatment option for patients with GERD symptoms. Further research is needed to identify predictors of success and to optimize patient selection for anti-reflux procedures.

It is important to develop effective strategies for enhancing the removal capacity of aromatic volatile organic compounds (VOCs) by modifying conventional porous adsorbents. In this study, a novel HZSM-5 zeolite-supported sulfonic acid (ZSM-OSO3H) was prepared through ClSO3H modification in dichloromethane and employed for the elimination of gaseous o-xylene. The ClSO3H modification enables the bonding of -OSO3H groups onto the HZSM-5 support, achieving a loading of 8.25 mmol·g-1 and leading to a degradation in both crystallinity and textural structure. Within an active temperature range of 110-145 °C, ZSM-OSO3H can efficiently remove o-xylene through a novel reactive adsorption mechanism, exhibiting a removal rate exceeding 98% and reaching a maximum breakthrough adsorption capacity of 264.7 mg. The adsorbed o-xylene derivative is identified as 3,4-dimethylbenzenesulfonic acid. ZSM-OSO3H demonstrates superior adsorption performance for o-xylene along with excellent recyclability. These findings suggest that ClSO3H sulfonation offers a promising approach for modifying various types of zeolites to enhance both the elimination and resource conversion of aromatic VOCs.

Infectious keratitis is a leading cause of corneal blindness worldwide with little information known about causative etiologies in Malawi, Africa. This area is resource-limited with ophthalmologist and microbiology services. The Department of Ophthalmology at the Kamuzu College of Health Sciences in Blantyre, Malawi, is a participating site of an international corneal ulcer consortium, capriCORN (Comprehensive Analysis of Pathogens, Resistomes, and Inflammatory-markers in the CORNea). In this study, 50 patients with corneal ulcers were swabbed for pathogen identification using RNA-sequencing. Corneal trauma was reported in 41% and 19% of the patients worked in agriculture. A pathogen was identified in 58% of the cases. Fungal pathogens predominated, followed by viruses and bacteria. Aspergillus, Fusarium, HSV-1, and Gardnerella were the most common pathogens detected. 50% of patients reported treatment with an antibiotic before presentation. Pathogens unusual for infectious keratitis, such as Subramaniula asteroids, Aureobasidium pullulans, and Gardnerella vaginalis, were also detected.

Understanding the distribution of halogenated organic compounds (HOCs) in marine sediments is essential for understanding the marine carbon and halogen cycling, and also important for assessing the ecosystem health. In this study, a method based on combustion-ion chromatography was developed for determination of the composition and abundance of HOCs in marine sediments. The method showed high accuracy, precision and reproducibility in determining the content of adsorbable organic halogens (AOX), including fluorine, chlorine and bromine (AOF, AOCl, AOBr) and the corresponding insoluble organic halogens (IOF, IOCl, IOBr, IOX), as well as total organic halogen contents (TOX). Application of the method in coastal and deep-sea sediments revealed high ratios of organic halogens in the organic carbon pool of marine sediments, suggesting that organic halogen compounds represent an important yet previously overlooked stock of carbon and energy in marine sediments. Both the TOX and the proportion of organohalogens in organic carbon (X:C ratio) showed an increasing trend from the coast to the deep-sea sediments, indicating an increased significance of HOCs in deep-sea environments. The developed method and the findings of this study lay the foundation for further studies on biogeochemical cycling of HOCs in the ocean.

OBJECTIVES: To determine the associated pathogen during the 2023 conjunctivitis outbreak in Vietnam METHODS: RNA-sequencing was used to identify pathogens before and during the outbreak. RESULTS: 24 patients with infectious conjunctivitis between March and October 2023 from Hai Yen Vision Institute in Vietnam were swabbed. Coxsackievirus A24v was the most common pathogen identified. Phylogenetic analysis of these strains demonstrates similarities to the Coxsackievirus identified in the 2022 India outbreak. Human adenovirus D was also circulating. Ocular findings of tearing, purulence, and itching were common in this outbreak. CONCLUSIONS: Multiple viruses can co-circulate during conjunctivitis outbreaks. Hemorrhagic conjunctivitis, commonly associated with coxsackievirus conjunctivitis, was not a common clinical sign in this outbreak. Repeat genetic surveillance, with the notable inclusion of RNA virus detection strategies, is important for outbreak detection.

As implantable medical electronics (IMEs) developed for healthcare monitoring and biomedical therapy are extensively explored and deployed clinically, the demand for non-invasive implantable biomedical electronics is rapidly surging. Current rigid and bulky implantable microelectronic power sources are prone to immune rejection and incision, or cannot provide enough energy for long-term use, which greatly limits the development of miniaturized implantable medical devices. Herein, a comprehensive review of the historical development of IMEs and the applicable miniaturized power sources along with their advantages and limitations is given. Despite recent advances in microfabrication techniques, biocompatible materials have facilitated the development of IMEs system toward non-invasive, ultra-flexible, bioresorbable, wireless and multifunctional, progress in the development of minimally invasive power sources in implantable systems has remained limited. Here three promising minimally invasive power sources summarized, including energy storage devices (biodegradable primary batteries, rechargeable batteries and supercapacitors), human body energy harvesters (nanogenerators and biofuel cells) and wireless power transfer (far-field radiofrequency radiation, near-field wireless power transfer, ultrasonic and photovoltaic power transfer). The energy storage and energy harvesting mechanism, configurational design, material selection, output power and in vivo applications are also discussed. It is expected to give a comprehensive understanding of the minimally invasive power sources driven IMEs system for painless health monitoring and biomedical therapy with long-term stable functions.

PURPOSE: The purpose of this study was to identify conjunctival transcriptome differences in patients with Acanthamoeba keratitis compared with keratitis with no known associated pathogen. METHODS: The host conjunctival transcriptome of 9 patients with Acanthamoeba keratitis (AK) is compared with the host conjunctival transcriptome of 13 patients with pathogen-free keratitis. Culture and/or confocal confirmed Acanthamoeba in 8 of 9 participants with AK who underwent metagenomic RNA sequencing as the likely pathogen. Cultures were negative in all 13 cases where metagenomic RNA sequencing did not identify a pathogen. RESULTS: Transcriptome analysis identified 36 genes differently expressed between patients with AK and patients with presumed sterile, or pathogen-free, keratitis. Gene enrichment analysis revealed that some of these genes participate in several biologic pathways important for cellular signaling, ion transport and homeostasis, glucose transport, and mitochondrial metabolism. Notable relatively differentially expressed genes with potential relevance to Acanthamoeba infection included CPS1 , SLC35B4 , STEAP2 , ATP2B2 , NMNAT3 , and AKAP12 . CONCLUSIONS: This research suggests that the local transcriptome in Acanthamoeba keratitis may be sufficiently robust to be detected in the conjunctiva and that corneas infected with Acanthamoeba may be distinguished from the inflamed cornea where no pathogen was identified. Given the low sensitivity for corneal cultures, identification of differentially expressed genes may serve as a suggestive transcriptional signature allowing for a complementary diagnostic technique to identify this blinding parasite. Knowledge of differentially expressed genes may also direct investigation of disease pathophysiology and suggest novel pathways for therapeutic targets.

Atropoisomeric chemotypes of diaryl ethers-related scaffolds are prevalent in naturally active compounds. Nevertheless, there remains considerable research to be carried out on the catalytic asymmetric synthesis of these axially chiral molecules. In this instance, we disclose an N-heterocyclic carbene (NHC)-catalyzed synthesis of axially chiral diaryl ethers via atroposelective esterification of dialdehyde-containing diaryl ethers. NHC desymmetrization produces axially chiral diaryl ether atropisomers with high yields and enantioselectivities in moderate circumstances. Chiral diaryl ether compounds may be precursors for highly functionalized diaryl ethers with bioactivity and chiral ligands for asymmetric catalysis.

Enhancer-derived RNAs (eRNAs) play critical roles in diverse biological processes by facilitating their target gene expression. However, the abundance and function of eRNAs in early embryos are not clear. Here, we present a comprehensive eRNA atlas by systematically integrating publicly available datasets of mouse early embryos. We characterize the transcriptional and regulatory network of eRNAs and show that different embryo developmental stages have distinct eRNA expression and regulatory profiles. Paternal eRNAs are activated asymmetrically during zygotic genome activation (ZGA). Moreover, we identify an eRNA, MZGAe1, which plays an important function in regulating mouse ZGA and early embryo development. MZGAe1 knockdown leads to a developmental block from 2-cell embryo to blastocyst. We create an online data portal, M2ED2, to query and visualize eRNA expression and regulation. Our study thus provides a systematic landscape of eRNA and reveals the important role of eRNAs in regulating mouse early embryo development.

Compared to traditional small molecule and antibody drugs, RNA-based drugs offer a simple design, short research and development cycles, high specificity, broad treatment fields, and long-term efficacy. As a result, RNA-based drugs are extensively used to treat genetic diseases, tumors, viral infections, and other illnesses, suggesting that they have the potential to become the third-largest drug class after small molecule and antibody drugs. Currently, more than 10 small nucleic acid drugs have gained regulatory approval. The commercialization successes of small nucleic acid drugs will stimulate the development of RNA-based drugs. Small nucleic acid drugs primarily target liver diseases, metabolic diseases, genetic diseases, and tumors, and there is also significant potential for expanding indications in the future. This review provides a brief overview of the advantages and development of small nucleic acid-based therapeutics and shows a focus on platform technologies such as chemical modifications and delivery systems that have enabled the clinical translation of small nucleic acid-based therapeutics. Additionally, we summarize the latest clinical progress in small nucleic acid-based therapeutics for the treatment of various diseases, including rare diseases, liver diseases, metabolic diseases, and tumors. Finally, we highlight the future prospects for this promising treatment approach.

Intervertebral disc degeneration (IDD) is the main cause of low back pain (LBP), which significantly impacts global wellbeing and contributes to global productivity declines. Conventional treatment approaches, encompassing conservative and surgical interventions, merely serve to postpone the advancement of IDD without offering a fundamental reversal. Consequently, there is an urgent demand for an effective approach to prevent the progression of IDD. Recent investigations focusing on the treatment of IDD utilizing diverse bioactive substances integrated within various biomaterials have exhibited promising outcomes. Various bioactive substances, encompassing conventional small molecule drugs, small molecule nucleic acids, and cell therapies, exhibit distinct capacities for repairing IDD. Additionally, various biological material delivery systems, such as nano micelles, microspheres, and hydrogels, possess diverse biological and release characteristics. Consequently, these diverse materials and drugs hold promise for advancing the treatment of IDD. This article aims to provide a concise overview of the IDD process and investigate the research advancements in biomaterials and bioactive substances for IDD treatment, delving into their mechanisms.

PURPOSE: This is a first-in-human study to evaluate the radiation dosimetry of a new prostate-specific membrane antigen (PSMA)-targeted radiopharmaceutical, [18F]AlF-P16-093, and also initial investigation of its ability to detect PSMA-positive tumors using PET scans in a cohort of prostate cancer (PCa) patients. METHODS: The [18F]AlF-P16-093 was automatically synthesized with a GE TRACERlab. A total of 23 patients with histopathologically proven PCa were prospectively enrolled. Dosimetry and biodistribution study investigations were carried out on a subset of six (6) PCa patients, involving multiple time-point scanning. The mean absorbed doses were estimated with PMOD and OLINDA software. RESULTS: [18F]AlF-P16-093 was successfully synthesized, and radiochemical purity was > 95%, and average labeling yield was 36.5 ± 8.3% (decay correction, n = 12). The highest tracer uptake was observed in the kidneys, spleen, and liver, contributing to an effective dose of 16.8 ± 1.3 µSv/MBq, which was ~ 30% lower than that of [68Ga]Ga-P16-093. All subjects tolerated the PET examination well, and no reportable side-effects were observed. The PSMA-positive tumors displayed rapid uptake, and they were all detectable within 10 min, and no additional lesions were observed in the following multi-time points scanning. Each patient had at least one detectable tumor lesion, and a total of 356 tumor lesions were observed, including intraprostatic, lymph node metastases, bone metastases, and other soft tissue metastases. CONCLUSIONS: We report herein a streamlined method for high yield synthesis of [18F]AlF-P16-093. Preliminary study in PCa patients has demonstrated its safety and acceptable radiation dosimetry. The initial diagnostic study indicated that [18F]AlF-P16-093 PET/CT is efficacious and potentially useful for a widespread application in the diagnosis of PCa patients.

PURPOSE: The objective of this study was to evaluate the diagnostic performance and image quality of total-body positron emission tomography/computed tomography (PET/CT) imaging using a half-dose of [68 Ga]Ga-prostate specific membrane antigen ([68 Ga]Ga-PSMA) radiotracer, compared to conventional short axial field-of-view PET/CT imaging using a full dose of [68 Ga]Ga-PSMA. METHODS: This retrospective study enrolled 52 patients with biochemical recurrent (BCR) prostate cancer after radical prostatectomy who underwent total-body PET/CT with a half-dose (0.9-1.1 MBq/kg) of [68 Ga]Ga-PSMA. These patients were matched by baseline characteristics to another 52 BCR patients after prostatectomy who underwent conventional PET/CT with a full dose (1.8-2.2 MBq/kg) of [68 Ga]Ga-PSMA. The half-dose group was further divided into 5-min (G5) and 2-min (G2) acquisition subgroups. Image quality was assessed through subjective analysis using a 5-point scale and objective measurements of standard uptake value maximum (SUVmax), standard uptake value mean (SUVmean), background variation (BV) of the liver, blood pool, and parotid glands. Additionally, SUVmax and tumor-to-background ratio (TBR) were calculated for lesions. RESULTS: No significant difference in subjective image quality was found between the G2 and full-dose groups (p > 0.05). PET/CT image quality was significantly higher for the G5 versus G2 (p < 0.001) and full-dose groups (p < 0.001). TBR did not differ between the G2 and full-dose groups (4.23 ± 5.21 vs 4.22 ± 3.97, p = 0.99). Liver BV was significantly lower for G2 versus full-dose groups (0.16 ± 0.03 vs 0.20 ± 0.05, p < 0.001). CONCLUSIONS: Total-body PET/CT with a half-dose [68 Ga]Ga-PSMA yields image quality superior or comparable to that of conventional PET/CT. The utilization of total-body [68 Ga]Ga-PSMA PET/CT meets the diagnostic demands of BCR patients, particularly those who exhibit reduced tolerance to prolonged horizontal positioning and scan durations, while simultaneously reducing radiation exposure for the subjects.

Abstract@#Airborne microorganisms, especially pathogenic microorganisms, are easily transmitted through dust and droplets, leading to various infectious diseases. The study summarizes the status of airborne microbial pollution, potential exposure levels, particle size, and species distribution of microorganisms, discusses the impact of airborne microorganisms on human health, and analyzes specific factors affecting campus air microorganisms from four aspects:climate, anthropogenic factors, time, and space, to provide a scientific basis for formulating effective improvement measures, improving air quality and safeguarding the health of teachers and students.

The progression of intervertebral disc degeneration (IDD) is attributed to the gradual exacerbation of cellular apoptosis and impaired extracellular matrix (ECM) synthesis, both of which are induced by progressive inflammation. Therefore, it is crucial to address the inflammatory microenvironment and rectify the excessive apoptosis of nucleus pulposus cells (NPCs) to achieve intervertebral disc (IVD) regeneration. In this study, we devised a smart microgel gene delivery system that incorporates functionalized gene nanoparticles (NPs) for the purpose of IVD regeneration. siGrem1 was loaded into the NPs to enhance their antiapoptotic ability and protective effects. Furthermore, the encapsulation of HADA further endows the NPs (referred to as HSGN) with targeted delivery and anti-inflammatory effects, as well as reactive oxygen species (ROS) scavenging capacities. To create an microenvironment-responsive microgel system, phenylboronic acid-functionalized microspheres (referred to as M.S.) were fabricated and dynamically loaded with the HSGN. This microgel system (MHSGN), which is highly biocompatible, enables the sustained release of siGrem1, effectively modulating inflammation, scavenging ROS, and alleviating apoptosis in NPCs. These multifunctional capabilities promote the restoration of metabolic homeostasis within the nucleus pulposus ECM, ultimately leading to delayed IDD.

Targeted delivery of vaccines to the spleen remains a challenge. Inspired by the erythrophagocytotic process in the spleen, we herein report that intravenous administration of senescent erythrocyte-based vaccines profoundly alters their tropism toward splenic antigen-presenting cells (APCs) for imprinting adaptive immune responses. Compared with subcutaneous inoculation, intravenous vaccination significantly upregulated splenic complement expression in vivo and demonstrated synergistic antibody killing in vitro. Consequently, intravenous senescent erythrocyte vaccination produces potent SARS-CoV-2 antibody-neutralizing effects, with potential protective immune responses. Moreover, the proposed senescent erythrocyte can deliver antigens from resected tumors and adjuvants to splenic APCs, thereby inducing a personalized immune reaction against tumor recurrence after surgery. Hence, our findings suggest that senescent erythrocyte-based vaccines can specifically target splenic APCs and evoke adaptive immunity and complement production, broadening the tools for modulating immunity, helping to understand adaptive response mechanisms to senescent erythrocytes better, and developing improved vaccines against cancer and infectious diseases.

The incidence of infections caused by drug-resistant bacteria has been one of the most serious health threats in the past and is substantially increasing in an alarming rate. Therefore, the development of new antimicrobial agents to combat bacterial resistance effectively is urgent. This study focused on the design and synthesis of 40 novel tetrahydrobenzothiophene amide/sulfonamide derivatives and their antibacterial activities were evaluated. Compounds 2p, 6p, and 6 s exhibited significant inhibitory effects on the growth of bacteria. To assess their safety, the cytotoxicity of the compounds was assessed using human normal liver cells, revealing that compound 6p has lower cytotoxicity. A mouse wound healing experiment demonstrated that compound 6p effectively improved wound infection induced by trauma and accelerated the healing process. Compound 6p holds promise as a potential therapeutic agent for combating bacterial infections.
