RESUMO

The present study is aimed at observing the degree to which family support and control determine academic performance in Mathematics and Language, and at understanding how this relationship is mediated by a series of factors related to students' motivation (self-efficacy), their study habits, the learning environment perceived at school, their school satisfaction, and a history of school retention. On this premise, a study was proposed in 44 Compulsory Secondary Education (CSE) schools, selecting 1,316 students (938 enrolled in the first, and 378 in the second year). Data confirm that both parental support and control directly influence academic performance in both subjects, but also indirectly through the mediator variables, which in the case of support are environment, satisfaction, study habits and self-efficacy, whereas in the case of control they are habits and retention


El presente estudio tiene como objetivo observar en qué medida el apoyo y el control de la familia determinan el rendimiento académico en Matemáticas y Lengua y comprender cómo esta relación está mediada por una serie de factores relacionados con la motivación (autoeficacia) de los estudiantes, sus hábitos de estudio, el ambiente de aprendizaje percibido en la escuela, su satisfacción escolar y su historial de repeticiones. Con esta premisa, se propuso un estudio en 44 escuelas de Educación Secundaria Obligatoria (ESO), seleccionando 1,316 estudiantes (938 matriculados en el primer año y 378 en el segundo). Los datos confirman que tanto el apoyo como el control de los padres influyen directamente en el rendimiento académico en ambas materias, pero también indirectamente a través de las variables mediadoras, que en el caso del apoyo son el ambiente, la satisfacción, los hábitos de estudio y la autoeficacia, mientras que en el caso del control son los hábitos y la retención

The main purpose of this study was to analyze the presence and current situation of the game of skittles throughout the northern route of the Camino de Santiago. Thus, we considered its current practice, modalities, where it is played, and its different manifestations as an informal and formal game (sport), comparing it with other traditional games on this pilgrimage route. To do this, a mixed qualitative-quantitative study was designed with 89 participants (municipal professionals, politicians, players, club managers, and teachers), constituting an informant for each municipality through which the Northern Way passes. An ad hoc questionnaire was used for the data collection, which was processed through content analysis by expert judges (qualitative section) and by using the IBM-SPSS statistical package (version 25). The results of the study show notable skittles activity on the Northern Camino (58.32% of the municipalities), reflected in the number of skittles alleys (n = 291), the number of clubs, associations, and peñas participating in federated leagues (n = 162), and the wide range of varieties of skittles currently active on the Camino (n = 20). The relationship between skittles and local culture, both symbols of identity in these northern Spanish regions, made it possible to preserve the traditional heritage in these places, keeping it alive today, despite the push toward new and more attractive leisure and sport trends.

La Fiscalía General del Estado español, en su memoria de octubre de 2009, destacó que la violencia filio-parental era el tipo penal más preocupante en adolescentes menores de edad por su incremento en prevalencia e incidencia. Por ello, es importante conocer algunas características de las familias que la sufren y de las hijas e hijos maltratadores. Para lograr dichos objetivos hemos realizado una revisión bibliométrica de análisis cualitativo en base a documentos y libros desde 1957 hasta 2011, de países como Australia, Japón, Canadá, Nueva Zelanda, Francia, E.E.U.U. o España principalmente, desde la cual se pretende conocer (a) qué es la violencia filio-parental, (b) el ciclo de este tipo de violencia, (c) características de las familias y víctimas que sufren esta violencia y, (d) las características de los hijos e hijas maltratadores. Del mismo modo, con la información que se desprende de esta revisión de investigaciones podemos conocer el estado de la cuestión para orientar en el diseño de nuevas investigaciones de violencia de hijos e hijas menores de edad


The Prosecutor's Office of Spain, in the 2009 October report, emphasized that the violence of sons and daughters against parents was the most disturbing crime among those committed by underage adolescents because of an increase in prevalence and incidence. For this reason, it is important to understand some characteristics of the families who suffer it and the children who ill-treat. To achieve these objectives, we have carried out a bibliometric review of qualitative analyses, on the basis of documents and books from 1957 until 2011, mainly from countries such as Australia, Japan, Canada, New Zealand, France, USA or Spain, from which we intend to understand: (a) what the violence against parents is, (b) the cycle of this kind of violence, (c) characteristics of the families who suffer this violence, and (d) the characteristics of the children who ill-treat. In the same way, with the information that emerges from this review of research, we can know the state of the question in order to define guidelines focused on the design of new research of violence of children under age
