RESUMO

Exploring the temperature-dependent photoluminescence (PL) properties of quantum dots (QDs) is not only important for understanding the carrier recombination processes in QD-based devices but also critical for expanding their special applications at different temperatures. However, there is still no clear understanding of the optical properties of CdS/ZnS core/shell QDs as a function of temperature. Herein, the temperature-dependent PL spectra of CdS/ZnS core/shell QDs were studied in the temperature range of 77-297 K. It was found that the band-edge emission (BEE) intensity decreases continuously with increasing temperature, while the surface-state emission (SSE) intensity first increases and then decreases. For BEE intensity, in the low temperature range, a small activation energy (29.5 meV) in the nonradiative recombination process led to the decrease of PL intensity of CdS/ZnS core/shell QDs; and at high temperature the PL intensity attenuation was caused by the thermal escape process. On the other hand, the temperature-dependent variation trend of the SSE intensity was determined by the competition of the trapping process of the surface trap states and the effect of thermally activated non-radiative defects. As the temperature increased, the PL spectra showed a certain degree of redshift in the peak energies of both band-edge and surface states and the PL spectrum full width at half-maximum (FWHM) increases, which was mainly due to the coupling of exciton and acoustic phonon. Furthermore, the CIE chromaticity coordinates turned from (0.190, 0.102) to (0.302, 0.194), which changed dramatically with temperature. The results indicated that the CdS/ZnS core/shell QDs are expected to be applied in temperature sensors.

RESUMO

In this study, to further improve the dynamic performance and steady-state accuracy of the electromagnetic linear actuator (EMLA) for the direct-drive system, the adaptive non-singular terminal sliding mode controller (ANTSMC) based on an improved disturbance observer (IDOB) is proposed. Accurate modeling of the EMLA based on the LuGre friction model was obtained by identification. Aiming at the continuous disturbance of the system, a non-singular terminal sliding mode control based on improved exponential reaching law (IERL) is designed, which is combined with the advantages of fuzzy control. Adaptive adjustment of the IERL gain is achieved to ensure finite time convergence of the tracking error while suppressing system jitter. Based on the IDOB to achieve effective observation compensation under noise disturbance and further improve the system robustness. The stability of the control is analyzed based on the Lyapunov function. The results show that the proposed method suppresses the jitter and improves the tracking performance and robustness of the servo system for different desired trajectories effectively.

RESUMO

OBJECTIVE: The morphological characteristics of posterior tooth in the Beagle dog were investigated in order to provide reference to mini-screw implant (MSI) implantation in the root furcation site. METHODS: Seventy posterior teeth of five Beagle dogs were collected and measured as follows: First, the greatest mesio-distal diameter AB of the crown was measured, which was perpendicular to the tooth long axis. Second, mesial cusp of maxillary posterior tooth or central cusp of mandibular was marked as the piont C, and CD which was equal and perpendicular to AB was drawn. The piont D was planned to be the reference point for MSI implantation. Finally, Dm, Dd and Df were measured, which were the distance from the point D to the mesial and distal root surface and root furcation. RESULTS: The difference between the left and right sides teeth with the same name had no statistical significant (P > 0.05). The measurement results of all indices assumed a Gaussian distribution. The mean Dd was basically equal to Dm. All the average Df were more than 4 mm. CONCLUSION: The point D could be used as a reference point for MSI implantation in the root furcation site of posterior tooth in the Beagle dog. The data of this study can provide certain reference for MSI implantation in the study of the biomechanics of anchorage stability, and provide certain reference for MSI implantation in the study of root repair after injury.

RESUMO

The fused tooth is the union of two dental enamel or dentin formed together. In the maxillary, the fusion usually occurred within the lateral incisor and canine and very rarely occurred in the upper third molar and supernumerary tooth. This paper reported a fused tooth occurred in the left maxillary impacted third molar with supernumerary tooth.

RESUMO

The phorboxazoles are mixed non-ribosomal peptide synthase/polyketide synthase biosynthetic products that embody polyketide domains joined via two serine-derived oxazole moieties. Total syntheses of phorboxazole A and analogues have been developed that rely upon the convergent coupling of three fragments via biomimetically inspired de novo oxazole formation. First, the macrolide-containing domain of phorboxazole A was assembled from C3-C17 and C18-C30 building blocks via formation of the C16-C18 oxazole, followed by macrolide ring closure involving an intramolecular Still-Genarri olefination at C2-C3. Alternatively, a ring-closing metathesis process was optimized to deliver the natural product's (2Z)-acrylate with remarkable geometrical selectivity. The C31-C46 side-chain domain was then appended to the macrolide by a second serine amide-derived oxazole assembly. Minimal deprotection then afforded phorboxazole A. This generally effective strategy was then dramatically abbreviated by employing a total synthesis approach wherein both of the natural product's oxazole moieties were installed simultaneously. A key bis-amide precursor to the bis-oxazole was formed in a chemoselective one-pot, bis-amidation sequence without the use of amino or carboxyl protecting groups. Thereafter, both oxazoles were formed from the key C18 and C31 bis-N-(1-hydroxyalkan-2-yl)amide in a simultaneous fashion, involving oxidation-cyclodehydrations. This synthetic strategy provides a total synthesis of phorboxazole A in 18% yield over nine steps from C3-C17 and C18-C30 synthetic fragments. It illustrates the utility of a synthetic design to form a mixed non-ribosomal peptide synthase/polyketide synthase biosynthetic product based upon biomimetic oxazole formation initiated by amide bond formation to join synthetic building blocks.

RESUMO

The phorboxazole natural products are among the most potent inhibitors of cancer cell division, but they are essentially unavailable from natural sources at present. Laboratory syntheses based upon tri-component fragment coupling strategies have been developed that provide phorboxazole A and analogues in a reliable manner and with unprecedented efficiency. This has been orchestrated to occur via the sequential or simultaneous formation of both of the natural product's oxazole moieties from two serine-derived amides, involving oxidation-cyclodehydrations. The optimized preparation of three pre-assembled components, representing carbons 3-17, 18-30, and 31-46, has been developed. This article details the design and syntheses of these three essential building blocks. The convergent coupling approach is designed to facilitate the incorporation of structural changes within each component to generate unnatural analogues, targeting those with enhanced therapeutic potential and efficacy.
