BACKGROUND: Hepatic infarction is a rare liver condition. The purpose of this study is to report a case of hepatic infarction caused by thrombus formation following portal vein stent implantation in a patient with hepatocellular carcinoma and portal vein tumor thrombus, and to explore the underlying causes. CASE REPORT: The patient in this study was a 52-year-old male admitted with diffuse hepatocellular carcinoma involving the right lobe and portal vein tumor thrombus. After undergoing portal vein stent implantation and 125I particle strand implantation treatment, the portal vein was patent, and the pressure decreased. However, multiple instances of hepatic artery chemoembolization combined with targeted immunotherapy resulted in gradual reduction in the diameter of the hepatic artery and affecting hepatic arterial blood flow. Two months post-stent implantation, thrombus formation within the stent was noted, and the patient's condition did not improve with anticoagulant therapy, as evidenced by follow-up CT scans showing an increase in thrombi. Six months later, the patient suffered from gastrointestinal bleeding and, despite emergency esophagogastric variceal ligation and hemostatic treatment, developed hepatic parenchymal infarction and liver function failure. CONCLUSIONS: We reveal the underlying cause is that (1) thrombus formation within the portal vein stent, leading to portal vein embolism and obstructed blood flow due to exacerbate portal hypertension after various treatments; and (2) the effect of hepatic artery chemoembolization, immunotherapy, and targeted therapy on tumor angiogenesis, causing reduced hepatic artery diameter and impaired arterial blood flow. These factors disrupt the liver's dual blood supply system, ultimately contributing to hepatic infarction. To our knowledge, this is the first report of hepatic infarction as a complication following portal vein stent implantation for hepatocellular carcinoma with portal vein tumor thrombus, and it holds significant reference value for guiding the treatment of hepatocellular carcinoma with concurrent portal vein tumor thrombus in a clinical setting.

The lignin derived ultrathin all-solid composite polymer electrolyte (CPE) with a thickness of only 13.2 µm, which possess 3D nanofiber ionic bridge networks composed of single-ion lignin-based lithium salt (L-Li) and poly(vinylidene fluoride-co-hexafluoropropylene) (PVDF-HFP) as the framework, and poly(ethylene oxide)/lithium bis(trifluoromethanesulfonyl)imide (PEO/LiTFSI) as the filler, is obtained through electrospinning/spraying and hot-pressing. t. The Li-symmetric cell assembled with the CPE can stably cycle more than 6000 h under 0.5 mA cm-2 with little Li dendrites growth. Moreover, the assembled Li||CPE||LiFePO4 cells can stably cycle over 700 cycles at 0.2 C with a super high initial discharge capacity of 158.5 mAh g-1 at room temperature, and a favorable capacity of 123 mAh g-1 at -20 °C for 250 cycles. The excellent electrochemical performance is mainly attributed to the reason that the nanofiber ionic bridge network can afford uniformly dispersed single-ion L-Li through electrospinning, which synergizes with the LiTFSI well dispersed in PEO to form abundant and efficient 3D Li+ transfer channels. The ultrathin CPE induces uniform deposition of Li+ at the interface, and effectively inhibit the lithium dendrites. This work provides a promising strategy to achieve ultrathin biobased electrolytes for solid-state lithium ion batteries.

With the emergence of Artificial Intelligence technology and the advancement of science and technology, the current mainstream path of social development is continuously updating and improving various industries using technology. Therefore, in order to promote the development of sneaker consumer culture, this study explores the use of technological means to improve the dissemination effect of symbolic culture in sneaker consumer culture. Firstly, the development concept and mainstream direction of sneaker consumer culture in the era of big data are discussed, and the application principle of big data technology is introduced. Then, a sneaker culture dissemination model based on big data technology is designed. Finally, the model is optimized using a Convolutional Neural Network (CNN), and its effectiveness is evaluated. The results show that the Convolutional Neural Network-Big Data (CNN-BD) model designed in this study has the highest fitting degree of 93% and a lowest fitting degree of 78% in the UT-Zap50K dataset. In the Ai2 dataset, the highest fitting degree of the big data classification model is 94%, and the lowest is 76%. In the Kaggle Women's Shoe dataset, the highest fitting degree of the big data classification model is 92%, and the lowest is 77%. In the Kaggle Men's Shoe dataset, the highest fitting degree of the big data classification model is 94%, and the lowest is 79%. The designed model has the highest accuracy rate of 93% in sneaker classification, while other models have the highest accuracy rate of around 82% in sneaker classification. Compared with traditional big data technology, the designed model has greatly improved and can adapt to more working environments. This study not only provides technical support for the application of big data technology but also contributes to improving the dissemination effect and promoting the comprehensive development of sneaker consumer culture.

High-temperature proton-exchange-membrane fuel cells (HT-PEMFCs) can offer improved energy efficiency and tolerance to fuel/air impurities. The high expense of the high-temperature proton-exchange membranes (HT-PEMs) and their low durability at high temperature still impede their further practical applications. In this work, a phosphoric acid (PA)-doped porous aromatic framework (PAF-6-PA) is incorporated into poly[2,2'-(p-oxydiphenylene)-5,5'-benzimidazole] (OPBI) to fabricate novel PAF-6-PA/OPBI composite HT-PEMs through solution-casting. The alkaline nitrogen structure in PAF-6 can be protonated with PA to provide proton hopping sites, and its porous structure can enhance the PA retention in the membranes, thus creating fast pathways for proton transfer. The hydrogen bond interaction between the rigid PAF-6 and OPBI can also enhance the mechanical properties and chemical stability of the composite membranes. Consequently, PAF-6-PA/OPBI exhibits an optimal proton conductivity of 0.089 S cm-1 at 200 °C, and peak power density of 437.7 mW cm-2 (Pt: 0.3 mg cm-2 ), which is significantly higher than that of the OPBI.   The PAF-6-PA/OPBI provides a novel strategy for the practical application of PBI-based HT-PEMs.

PURPOSE: This study aimed to assess the diagnostic performance of [18F]FAPI-42 PET/CT and compare it with that of 2-[18F]FDG PET/CT in patients with differentiated thyroid cancer (DTC) with biochemical elevations in Tg or anti-Tg antibodies. METHODS: A total of 42 patients with DTC with biochemical elevations in Tg or anti-Tg antibodies underwent [18F]FAPI-42 PET/CT as part of this study; of which, 11 additionally underwent 2-[18F]FDG PET/CT within 7 days. Images were semi-quantitatively and visually interpreted, and the quantity, location, and uptake values of lesions were noted. The diagnostic capacity of [18F]FAPI-42 PET/CT and biomarkers affecting the uptake of [18F]FAPI-42 were evaluated. In addition, the diagnostic performance and uptake of [18F]FAPI-42 and 2-[18F]FDG were compared, and the correlation between lesion diameter and quantitative parameters was investigated. RESULTS: A total of 161 lesions were detected in 27 (64%) patients on [18F]FAPI-42 PET/CT. FAPI-positive local recurrence showed the highest uptake intensity, followed by lymphatic, other site-associated (bone and pleura), and pulmonary lesions (mean SUVmax, 4.7 versus 3.7 versus 3.0 versus 2.2, respectively; P < 0.0001). The levels of TSH, Tg, and Tg-Ab did not affect the uptake value of lesions (median SUVmax: 2.4 versus 3.2, P = 0.56; 2.9 versus 2.4, P = 0.0935; 2.8 versus 2.6, P = 0.0525, respectively). A total of 90 positive lesions were detected in 7 patients using both modalities. All positive lesions showed statistically higher uptake of 2-[18F]FDG than that of [18F]FAPI-42 (SUVmax, 2.6 versus 2.1; P = 0.026). However, the SUVmax of [18F]FAPI-42 was higher than that of 2-[18F]FDG in local recurrences and lymphatic lesions (SUVmax, 4.2 versus 2.9 and 3.9 versus 3.4, respectively; P > 0.05). CONCLUSION: [18F]FAPI-42 can be used for detecting lesions and reflecting FAP expression during local recurrence and metastasis in patients with DTC with biochemical elevations in Tg or anti-Tg antibodies. The diagnostic performance of [18F]FAPI-42 PET/CT is comparable with that of 2-[18F]FDG PET/CT in such patients.

RESUMO

Actinomycetes are recognized as excellent producers of microbial natural products, which have a wide range of applications, especially in medicine, agriculture and stockbreeding. The three main indexes of industrialization (titer, purity and stability) must be taken into overall consideration in the manufacturing process of natural products. Over the past decades, synthetic biology techniques have expedited the development of industrially competitive strains with excellent performances. Here, we summarize various rational engineering strategies for upgrading the performance of industrial actinomycetes, which include enhancing the yield of natural products, eliminating the by-products and improving the genetic stability of engineered strains. Furthermore, the current challenges and future perspectives for optimizing the industrial strains more systematically through combinatorial engineering strategies are also discussed.

Genome sequencing has revealed that each Streptomyces contains a wide range of biosynthetic gene clusters (BGCs) and has the capability to produce more novel natural products than what is expected. However, most gene clusters for secondary metabolite biosynthesis are cryptic under normal growth conditions. In Streptomyces tsukubaensis, combining overexpression of the putative SARPs (Streptomyces antibiotic regulatory proteins) and bioactivity-guided screening, the silent gene cluster (tsu) was successfully activated and a novel bioactive anthracycline tsukubarubicin was further isolated and identified. Biological activity assays demonstrated that tsukubarubicin possessed much better antitumor bioactivities against various human cancer cell lines (especially the breast cancer cell lines) than clinically used doxorubicin. Moreover, the previously unreported gene cluster (tsu) for biosynthesis of tsukubarubicin was first characterized and detailed annotations of this gene cluster were also conducted. Our strategy presented in this work is broadly applicable in other Streptomyces and will assist in enriching the natural products for potential drug leads. KEY POINTS: • Generally scalable strategy to activate silent gene clusters by manipulating SARPs. • The novel anthracycline tsukubarubicin with potent antitumor bioactivities. • Identification and annotation of the previously uncharacterized tsu gene cluster.

Salbutamol (SAL) is one of the most widely abused feed additives in animal husbandry. Selective enrichment of SAL from complex biological samples is a key step for the analysis of SAL. Herein, we present SAL-imprinted magnetic nanoparticles (MNPs) as an ideal sorbent for selective enrichment of SAL. The SAL-imprinted MNPs were prepared according to the newly reported boronate affinity oriented surface imprinting. The prepared imprinted MNPs exhibited several significant advantages, such as excellent selectivity towards SAL, superb tolerance to interferences, fast binding equilibrium and easy manipulation, which made the obtained imprinted MNPs an ideal sorbent for selective enrichment. The feasibility of SAL-imprinted MNPs for real samples was well demonstrated by the analysis of trace SAL in pig liver. Because of their highly desirable properties, the SAL-imprinted MNPs could find more applications in the analysis of SAL.
