Lymphoedema of the eyelids in the yellow nail syndrome.

The nails are frequently deformed or otherwise affected in a very large number of systemic diseases or as part of the general picture in many syndromes of congenital origin. One of the latter is the yellow nail syndrome (Samman and White, 1964) an example of which we present in this paper.

The Pierre Robin syndrome associated with femoral dysgenesis.

Three cases are described of the Pierre Robin Syndrome in association with femoral dysgenesis. This would appear to be a definite clinical entity.

Spontaneous regression of anterior open bite following treatment of macroglossia.

A case of lymphangioma of the tongue with gross mandibular deformity is presented. Surgical reduction of tongue size resulted in considerable remodeling and the orthodontic implications of this remodelling are discussed.

Hot water burn of the abdomen after lipectomy.

Abdominal lipectomy results in a zone of impaired sensation below the level of the umbilicus. Patients should be warned of the significance of this sensory loss.

A traumatic fistula of the submandibular gland.

A salivary fistula of a submandibular gland was successfully treated by excision of that gland.
