Objective: The current research study aimed to access the relationship between obesity and asthma exacerbations and severity among adult patients at the outpatient section of a federal hospital (PIMS) in Islamabad, Pakistan. Methods: A cross-sectional research study was carried out on 207 asthma adult patients belonging to different areas and ethnic groups from the country. The study setting was the PIMS hospital, which attracts patients from all over the country due to its facilities and cost-effective treatments. The body mass index (BMI) of asthma patients was calculated using the heights and weights of the study subjects. However, the pulmonary functions were calculated using a computerized spirometer i-e Spirolab III S/N 303681 in line with Winspiro PRO 7.1.version software. It presents the patient's forced vital capacity that expires in the first second of expiration to full (FEV1) in comparison to forced vital capacity (FVC) ratio, that is, Tiffeneau-Pinelli index was also recorded to determine the asthma severity. Results: According to recent surveys, the overall prevalence of patients with overweight and obesity was 29.0% and 23.7%, respectively. A Chi-square test was used, and a statistically significant relationship was observed between BMI and asthma severity (P < 0.001). The adult obese female patients presented poor pulmonary functions. The average FEV1/FVC ratio presented significant variance among four different categories of BMI with P < 0.05. This difference was due to the normal BMI category as the Tiffeneau-Pinelli index, that is, FEV1/FVC in the normal BMI group was significantly lower as compared to that in underweight and obese patients. Conclusion: The study subjects presented raised asthma severity in accordance with the raised BMI. Obese patients presented comparatively raised asthma exacerbations. Moreover, a statistically significant association of gender difference was observed between obesity and asthma severity. It was concluded that adult asthmatic women with obesity presented raised asthma severity as compared to adult asthmatic males.

Objective: To investigate the prevalence of paratuberculosis in cattle and buffaloes at twelve public dairy farms in Punjab, Pakistan. Methods: A total of 2181 more than two-year-old animals (1242 cattle and 939 buffaloes) were tested by avian tuberculin, i.e., killed purified protein derivative (PPD) of Mycobacterium avium paratuberculosis and indirect ELISA. Blood and fecal samples were collected from tuberculin positive animals. These samples were further processed by indirect ELISA. The data were analyzed using frequency analysis and logistic analysis procedures. Results: The prevalence of paratuberculosis at public dairy farms was 3.8%, as determined by tuberculin + ELISA test. It varied from 0.71-13.5% with a 100% herd prevalence. Multivariate logistic regression analysis revealed that species, milk production, total animals, total small ruminants, and total buffaloes were significantly associated with the occurrence of paratuberculosis. Odd ratio analysis revealed that with a one-kilogram increase in body weight, there will be a 0.006% increase in disease occurrence. With the increase in one animal in small ruminants and buffaloes, there will be 0.008% and 0.42% greater chances of developing paratuberculosis, respectively. Bivariate logistic regression analysis of cattle and buffaloes revealed that farm number, age, and total number of cattle were significantly associated with the occurrence of paratuberculosis. A one-month increase in lactation length increases the chance of tuberculosis by 0.004%; similarly, a one-liter increase in milk production increases the chance of disease by 10%. With each additional buffalo in the herd, there will be a 0.007% greater chance for the occurrence of paratuberculosis. Conclusion: This study concluded that tuberculin testing can be used in conjunction with ELISA to screen animals for paratuberculosis in countries with scarce resources, such as Pakistan. The efficacy of disease diagnosis can be improved by combining multiple tests.

Introduction: Clinical hypnosis has been proposed for post-surgical pain management for its potential vagal-mediated anti-inflammatory properties. Evidence is needed to understand its effectiveness for post-surgical recovery. Iin this secondary outcome study, it was hypothesized that surgical oncology patients randomized to receive perioperative clinical hypnosis (CH) would demonstrate greater heart-rate variability (HRV) during rest and relaxation at a 1-month post-surgery assessment compared to a treatment-as-usual group (TAU). Methods: After REB approval, trial registration and informed consent, 92 participants were randomized to receive CH (n = 45) or TAU (n = 47). CH participants received a CH session before surgery and during post-surgical in-hospital stay HRV was assessed during rest (5 min) and relaxation (10 min) before and 1-month after surgery. Pain intensity was obtained using a 0-10 numeric rating scale pre and post 1-week and 1-month post surgery. Results: One month after surgery, HRV was significantly higher in CH group (n = 29) during rest and relaxation (both p < 0.05, d = 0.73) than TAU group (n = 28). By contrast, rest and relaxation HRV decreased from pre- to 1-month post-surgery for the TAU (both p < 0.001, d > 0.48) but not the CH group. Pain intensity increased from pre-surgery to 1-week post-surgery (p < 0.001, d = 0.50), and decreased from 1-week to 1-month post-surgery (p = 0.005, d = 0.21) for all participants. Discussion: The results suggest that hypnosis prevents the deleterious effects of surgery on HRV by preserving pre-operative vagal activity. These findings underscore the potential of clinical hypnosis in mitigating the adverse effects of surgery on autonomic function and may have significant implications for enhancing post-surgical recovery and pain management strategies. Piroxicam and naproxen are well-known non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs that are frequently detected in aquatic environments due to their widespread usage and improper disposal practices. This research investigates the photocatalytic degradation of these drugs by using CeO2 nanoparticles. The nanoparticles were synthesized by using Azadirachta indica plant extract and were characterized through various characterization techniques such as UV-visible spectroscopy, FTIR spectroscopy, SEM, EDX, and XRD. The photocatalytic degradation of piroxicam and naproxen using CeO2 nanoparticles led to the efficient removal of these pharmaceutical drugs in a short time duration with photodegradation efficiencies of 89% and 97% for naproxen and piroxicam, respectively. The photodegradation reaction was found to follow pseudo-order first-order kinetics. The recyclability of the catalyst was also studied for up to six cycles where the degradation efficiency was maintained at 100% till the 2nd cycle and was decreased by 11 and 13% for piroxicam and naproxen respectively after the 6th cycle. The current work focused on the achievement of sustainable development goals (SDGs) for water purification via environmentally benign nanoparticles to remedy water pollution as it is the most prevalent issue in developed and underdeveloped countries throughout the world.

Symptomatic giant ganglioneuromas with mediastinal compression are rare, complicating its management with significant morbidity and mortality risks. A meticulous multidisciplinary preoperative planning is pivotal in ensuring success. We describe a case of a 30-year-old man with a giant posterior mediastinal mass with compression and displacement of the mediastinal structures. Biopsy confirmed a ganglioneuroma and patient underwent excision. Surgery was challenging in view of the size and adherence to the local structures. Haemodynamic instabilities were encountered necessitating a pre-emptive femoral-femoral cannulation for CPB. A piece-meal debulking of the tumour was performed, complicated with massive haemorrhage requiring autologous blood transfusion using an intraoperative blood salvage device. The patient recovered and was discharged home well at Day 8. A thorough pre-operative planning involving a multidisciplinary approach, an understanding of the surgical anatomy as well as anticipating impending complications is of paramount importance  in the management of this particular case.

Metabolic reprogramming has emerged as one of the key hallmarks of cancer cells. Various metabolic pathways are dysregulated in cancers, including the hexosamine biosynthesis pathway. Protein O-GlcNAcylation is catalyzed by the enzyme O-GlcNAc transferase (OGT), an effector of hexosamine biosynthesis pathway that is found to be upregulated in most cancers. Posttranslational O-GlcNAcylation of various signaling and transcriptional regulators could promote cancer cell maintenance and progression by regulating gene expression, as gene-specific transcription factors and chromatin regulators are among the most highly O-GlcNAcylated proteins. Here, we investigated the role of OGT in glioblastoma. We demonstrate that OGT knockdown and chemical inhibition led to reduced glioblastoma cell proliferation and downregulation of many genes known to play key roles in glioblastoma cell proliferation, migration, and invasion. We show that genes downregulated due to OGT reduction are also known to be transcriptionally regulated by transcriptional initiation/elongation cofactor BRD4. We found BRD4 to be O-GlcNAcylated in glioblastoma cells; however, OGT knockdown/inhibition neither changed its expression nor its chromatin association on promoters. Intriguingly, we observed OGT knockdown led to reduced Pol II-Ser2P chromatin association on target genes without affecting other transcription initiation/elongation factors. Finally, we found that chemical inhibition of BRD4 potentiated the effects of OGT inhibition in reducing glioblastoma cell proliferation, invasion, and migration. We propose BRD4 and OGT act independently in the transcriptional regulation of a common set of genes and that combined inhibition of OGT and BRD4 could be utilized therapeutically for more efficient glioblastoma cell targeting than targeting of either protein alone.

Abortion is one of the leading causes of economic losses in the livestock industry worldwide. Chlamydia abortus, Coxiella burnetii, and Brucella spp. are the leading cause of late fetal loss in small ruminants. This study determined the seroprevalence of these agents in small ruminants in district Jhang. A total of 385 serum samples were taken from the sheep and goats from different flocks with a history of abortion and subjected to i-ELISA. Further, samples were analysed for liver enzymes and total serum protein using a semi-automated chemistry analyzer. The result of indirect commercial ELISA showed 13.0, 4.2 and 11.2% prevalence for Coxiella burnetii, Chlamydia abortus, and Brucella spp., respectively. Values of different serum parameters (ALT, AST, and total protein) of seropositive animals were also determined. There was a significant rise in AST and ALT values of infected animals (p ≤ 0.05). Total protein decreased for all three infections, but a significant drop was noted in Brucella positive sheep serum samples. Various risk factors were studied. Binary logistic regression proved a significant role of ticks for coxiellosis and brucellosis. Age, parity, and species did not impact the prevalence of diseases studied.

This study was aimed at determining the autophagy activity in the laminar tissue of dairy cows with oligofructose-induced laminitis. Twelve healthy non-pregnant Holstein cows were randomly divided into two groups of six cows each, entitled the control group and the oligofructose overload group (OF group), respectively. At 0 h, cows in the OF group were gavaged with oligofructose (17 g/kg BW) dissolved in warm deionized water (20 mL/kg BW) through an oral rumen tube, and the dairy cows in the control group were gavaged with the same volume of deionized water by the same method. At -72 h before, as well as 0 h, 6 h, 12 h, 18 h, 24 h, 36 h, 48 h, 60 h, and 72 h after perfusion, clinical evaluations of both groups were monitored. After 72 h, the laminar tissues of the dairy cows in both groups were collected to examine the genes and proteins. The gene expression of ATG5, ATG12, and Beclin1 significantly increased (p < 0.05), whereas that of P62 and mTOR significantly decreased (p < 0.01) in the OF group relative to the control group. The protein expression of Beclin-1 significantly increased (p < 0.05), while that of LC3II significantly decreased (p < 0.05) in the OF group relative to the control group. However, the protein expression of P62 non-significantly reduced (p > 0.05) in the OF group comparative to the control group. Furthermore, the distribution of the Beclin1 protein in the laminar tissue significantly increased (p < 0.01), while that of the P62 protein significantly decreased (p < 0.05) in the OF group than the control group. These findings indicate that the imbalanced gene and protein-level status of autophagy-related markers may be the basic cause for the failure of the epidermal attachment. However, a more detailed gene and protein-level study is needed to further clarify the role of autophagy in the pathogenesis of bovine laminitis.

Background: Ivabradine is a specific heart rate (HR)-lowering agent which blocks the cardiac pacemaker If channels. It reduces the HR without causing a negative inotropic or lusitropic effect, thus preserving ventricular contractility. The authors hypothesized that its usefulness in lowering HR can be utilized in patients undergoing off-pump coronary artery bypass (OPCAB) surgery. Objective: To study the effects of preoperative ivabradine on hemodynamics (during surgery) in patients undergoing elective OPCAB surgery. Methods: Fifty patients, New York Heart Association (NYHA) class I and II, were randomized into group I (control, n = 25) and group II (ivabradine group, n = 25). In group I, patients received the usual anti-anginal medications in the preoperative period, as per the institutional protocol. In group II, patients received ivabradine 5 mg twice daily for 3 days before surgery, in addition to the usual anti-anginal medications. Anesthesia was induced with fentanyl, thiopentone sodium, and pancuronium bromide as a muscle relaxant and maintained with fentanyl, midazolam, pancuronium bromide, and isoflurane. The hemodynamic parameters [HR and mean arterial pressure (MAP)] and pulmonary artery (PA) catheter-derived data were recorded at the baseline (before induction), 3 min after the induction of anesthesia at 1 min and 3 min after intubation and at 5 min and 30 min after protamine administration. Intraoperatively, hemodynamic data (HR and MAP) were recorded every 10 min, except during distal anastomosis of the coronary arteries when it was recorded every 5 min. Post-operatively, at 24 hours, the levels of troponin T and brain natriuretic peptide (BNP) were measured. This trial's CTRI registration number is CTRI/005858. Results: The HR in group II was lower when compared to group I (range 59.6-72.4 beats/min and 65.8-80.2 beats/min, respectively) throughout the study period. MAP was comparable [range (78.5-87.8 mm Hg) vs. (78.9-88.5 mm Hg) in group II vs. group I, respectively] throughout the study period. Intraoperatively, 5 patients received metoprolol in group I to control the HR, whereas none of the patients in group II required metoprolol. The incidence of preoperative bradycardia (HR <60 beats/min) was higher in group II (20%) vs. group I (8%). There was no difference in both the groups in terms of troponin T and BNP level after 24 hours, time to extubation, requirement of inotropes, incidence of arrhythmias, in-hospital morbidity, and 30-day mortality. Conclusion: Ivabradine can be safely used along with other anti-anginal agents during the preoperative period in patients undergoing OPCAB surgery. It helps to maintain a lower HR during surgery and reduces the need for beta-blockers in the intraoperative period, a desirable and beneficial effect in situations where the use of beta-blockers may be potentially harmful. Further studies are needed to evaluate the beneficial effects of perioperative Ivabradine in patients with moderate-to-severe left ventricular dysfunction.

Spinal cord injury (SCI) causes severe motor or sensory damage that leads to long-term disabilities due to disruption of electrical conduction in neuronal pathways. Despite current clinical therapies being used to limit the propagation of cell or tissue damage, the need for neuroregenerative therapies remains. Conductive hydrogels have been considered a promising neuroregenerative therapy due to their ability to provide a pro-regenerative microenvironment and flexible structure, which conforms to a complex SCI lesion. Furthermore, their conductivity can be utilized for noninvasive electrical signaling in dictating neuronal cell behavior. However, the ability of hydrogels to guide directional axon growth to reach the distal end for complete nerve reconnection remains a critical challenge. In this Review, we highlight recent advances in conductive hydrogels, including the incorporation of conductive materials, fabrication techniques, and cross-linking interactions. We also discuss important characteristics for designing conductive hydrogels for directional growth and regenerative therapy. We propose insights into electrical conductivity properties in a hydrogel that could be implemented as guidance for directional cell growth for SCI applications. Specifically, we highlight the practical implications of recent findings in the field, including the potential for conductive hydrogels to be used in clinical applications. We conclude that conductive hydrogels are a promising neuroregenerative therapy for SCI and that further research is needed to optimize their design and application.

Worldwide the prevalence of sacroiliac joint dysfunction (SIJD) lies within a range of 13% to 30%. In approximately 10% to 25% of patients, SIJD is a cause of mechanical low back and leg pain. A total of 498 subjects included in 10 studies conducted from 2018 to 2022 were included in this analysis. The guidelines of PRISMA were followed for study identifications and analysis in which pain and disability were monitored as an outcome measure. The results revealed statistically significant findings of physical therapy-based management approaches in decreasing pain (SMD -1.068, p=0.0001, I2=95.11%) and lowering the levels of disability (SMD -0.997, p=0.0001, I2=95.76%) among patients with SIJD as estimated using a random effect model. It was concluded that physical therapy-based management approaches ranging from combined exercise therapy to MET and K-taping are significantly more effective than traditional approaches. Plant-based nanoformulation is one of the novel approaches for therapeutic benefits. This research synthesized a silver nanoparticle from the polyherbal combination of four plants/seeds (Momordica charantia, Trigonella foenum-graecum, Nigella sativa, and Ocimum sanctum) and investigated its antidiabetic effects in streptozotocin-induced Wistar albino rat model. The polyherbal extract (PH) was extracted by the Soxhlet-solvent extraction method and the resulting crude extract was undergone for silver nanoparticle synthesis. The PH extract was subjected to a four-week intervention in fructose-fed streptozotocin-induced Wistar Albino rats' models and in vitro antioxidative tests. Experimental animals (age: 6-7 weeks, male, body weight: 200-220 g), were divided into five groups including normal control (NC), reference control (RC), diabetic control (DC), and treatment groups PH200, PH100, and PHAgNP20. After three weeks of intervention, body weight, weekly blood glucose level, oral glucose tolerance test, AST, ALT, alkaline phosphatase, total cholesterol, triglycerides, uric acid, urea, and creatinine level of PH200 were found to be significantly (P < 0.05) improved compared to the diabetic control. The same dose demonstrated better regeneration of damaged pancreatic and kidney tissues. In vitro antioxidant assay manifested promising IC50 values of 86.17 µg/mL for DPPH, 711.04 µg/mL for superoxide free radical, and 0.48 mg/mL for Iron chelating activity of the polyherbal extract. GC-MS analysis impacted the major volatile compounds of the PH. The data demonstrate that the PH and its nanoparticles could be a novel source of antidiabetic therapeutics through an advanced dose-response study in the type 2 diabetic model.

The performance of the Graphene/Si (Gr/Si) Schottky interface and its potential in future electronics strongly rely on the quality of interconnecting contacts with external circuitry. In this work, we investigate the dominating and limiting factors of Gr/Si interfaces designed for high light absorption, paying particular attention to the nature of the contact failure under high electrostatic discharge (ESD) conditions. Our findings indicate that severe current crowding at contact edges of the graphene is the dominating factor for the device breakdown. Material degradation and electrical breakdown are systematically analyzed by atomic force, Raman, scanning electron, and energy-dispersive x-ray spectroscopies. This work enlists the robustness and limitations of Gr/Si junction in photodiode architecture under high ESD conditions that can be used as general guidelines for 2D-3D electronic and optoelectronic devices.

In this study we fabricated a piezoelectric nanogenerator (PENG) of nanocomposite thin film comprising a conductive nanofiller of reduced graphene oxide (rGO) dispersed in a poly(vinylidene fluoride-co-trifluoroethylene) (P(VDF-TrFE)) matrix that was anticipated to show enhanced energy harvest performance. For the film preparation we employed the Langmuir-Schaefer (LS) technique to provide direct nucleation of the polar ß-phase without any traditional polling or annealing process. We prepared five PENGs consisting of the nanocomposite LS films with different rGO contents in the P(VDF-TrFE) matrix and optimized their energy harvest performance. We found that the rGO-0.002 wt% film yielded the highest peak-peak open-circuit voltage (VOC) of 88 V upon bending and releasing at 2.5 Hz frequency, which was more than two times higher than the pristine P(VDF-TrFE) film. This optimized performance was explained by increased ß-phase content, crystallinity, and piezoelectric modulus, and improved dielectric properties, based on scanning electron microscopy (SEM), Fourier transform infrared (FT-IR), x-ray diffraction (XRD), piezoelectric modulus, and dielectric property measurement results. This PENG with enhanced energy harvest performance has great potential in practical applications for low energy power supply in microelectronics such as wearable devices.

Intelligent traffic management systems have become one of the main applications of Intelligent Transportation Systems (ITS). There is a growing interest in Reinforcement Learning (RL) based control methods in ITS applications such as autonomous driving and traffic management solutions. Deep learning helps in approximating substantially complex nonlinear functions from complicated data sets and tackling complex control issues. In this paper, we propose an approach based on Multi-Agent Reinforcement Learning (MARL) and smart routing to improve the flow of autonomous vehicles on road networks. We evaluate Multi-Agent Advantage Actor-Critic (MA2C) and Independent Advantage Actor-Critical (IA2C), recently suggested Multi-Agent Reinforcement Learning techniques with smart routing for traffic signal optimization to determine its potential. We investigate the framework offered by non-Markov decision processes, enabling a more in-depth understanding of the algorithms. We conduct a critical analysis to observe the robustness and effectiveness of the method. The method's efficacy and reliability are demonstrated by simulations using SUMO, a software modeling tool for traffic simulations. We used a road network that contains seven intersections. Our findings show that MA2C, when trained on pseudo-random vehicle flows, is a viable methodology that outperforms competing techniques.

Many of the medicinally active molecules in the flavonoid class of phytochemicals are being researched for their potential antiviral activity against various DNA and RNA viruses. Quercetin is a flavonoid that can be found in a variety of foods, including fruits and vegetables. It has been reported to be effective against a variety of viruses. This review, therefore, deciphered the mechanistic of how Quercetin works against some of the deadliest viruses, such as influenza A, Hepatitis C, Dengue type 2 and Ebola virus, which cause frequent outbreaks worldwide and result in significant morbidity and mortality in humans through epidemics or pandemics. All those have an alarming impact on both human health and the global and national economies. The review extended computing the Quercetin-contained natural recourse and its modes of action in different experimental approaches leading to antiviral actions. The gap in effective treatment emphasizes the necessity of a search for new effective antiviral compounds. Quercetin shows potential antiviral activity and inhibits it by targeting viral infections at multiple stages. The suppression of viral neuraminidase, proteases and DNA/RNA polymerases and the alteration of many viral proteins as well as their immunomodulation are the main molecular mechanisms of Quercetin's antiviral activities. Nonetheless, the huge potential of Quercetin and its extensive use is inadequately approached as a therapeutic for emerging and re-emerging viral infections. Therefore, this review enumerated the food-functioned Quercetin source, the modes of action of Quercetin for antiviral effects and made insights on the mechanism-based antiviral action of Quercetin.

A right atrial myxoma extending to the inferior vena cava with associated right-to-left shunting leading to systemic desaturation is an exceedingly rare clinical entity. The number of cases reported in the literature to date is not more than five. This case study presents a 45-year-old female who was referred to our center with symptoms of breathlessness, easy fatigability, generalized weakness, and central cyanosis. On routine blood investigation, polycythemia was detected. On preoperative 2D-transthoracic echocardiography, the diagnosis of right atrial mass was confirmed but the reason for cyanosis was not revealed. A tumor thrombus in a branch of the right lower pulmonary artery with a small locoregional pulmonary infarct along with right atrial myxoma was reported in computed tomography angiography of the heart and great vessels. On-table transesophageal echocardiography showed patent foramen ovale (PFO) with right-to-left shunting because of raised right atrial pressure and dynamic obstruction of the tricuspid valve by the mass. The myxoma was resected completely via right atrial approach along with primary closure of PFO. Postoperative period was uneventful, and the patient was discharged on day seven. At three-month follow-up, the patient was doing well.

In this study, PMMA/ABS/CoCl2 ternary composite films were fabricated by the solution casting technique. The different weight ratios of cobalt chloride (≤10 wt) were incorporated into the PMMA/ABS blend (80:20). The chemical structure and thermal properties of the synthesized composites were assessed by FT-IR, TGA, and XRD. The biological properties of ternary composites, such as in vitro antibacterial activity and antioxidant capacity, were investigated. The enhanced thermal stability and promising antibacterial, selective antibiofilm, and potential antioxidant properties of PMMA/ABS/cobalt chloride composites demonstrated that they can be used for high-quality plastics and in many pharmaceutical applications.

Pumpkin is a well-known vegetable, among the members of Cucurbitaceae family, due to its importance as pharma food. Keeping in view the antidiabetic and plasma lipids lowering potential of pumpkin, the present study was conducted to investigate that, which part of pumpkin (peel, flesh, and seeds), possess more bioactive compounds, exhibiting antihyperglycemic and antihyperlipidemic potential. Albino rats with 190-210 g body weight were divided into 11 groups. Five rats were included in each group; group A was negative control, group B was positive control, and groups C to K were diabetic rats fed with pumpkin peel, flesh, and seed powders. Diabetes was induced in rats with the help of alloxan monohydrate. During 28 days of experimental period, blood glucose level of different rat's groups was checked with the help of glucometer, at every 7 days interval and at the end of 28 days study, plasma lipids were checked with the help of commercial kits. A significant decrease in blood glucose level (128.33 ± 1.67 mg/dl), TC (88.43 ± 0.66 mg/dl), TG (69.79 ± 0.49 mg/dl), and LDL-C (21.45 ± 0.08 mg/dl) was recorded in rat groups fed with 15 g pumpkin seed powder, at the end of study. After pumpkin seeds, second significant antihyperglycemic and antihyperlipidemic effect was recorded in rat's groups fed with 15 g pumpkin peel powder. Pumpkin flesh powder effect in lowering blood glucose level and plasma lipids was less significant as compared to seeds and peel powder. As the dose of the pumpkin powders was increased from 5 to 10 and then 15 g, the blood glucose-lowering and plasma lipid-lowering effect became more significant. Similarly, as the experimental duration was expanded from first week to 28 days, this antihyperglycemic and antihyperlipidemic effect became more significant. These results were sufficient to conclude that pumpkin has high potential to be used in human diet to cope with noncommunicable diseases like diabetes and hypercholesterolemia.
