RESUMO

Non-Newtonian fluids are extensively employed in many different industries, such as the processing of plastics, the creation of electrical devices, lubricating flows, and the production of medical supplies. A theoretical analysis is conducted to examine the stagnation point flow of a 2nd-grade micropolar fluid into a porous material in the direction of a stretched surface under the magnetic field effect, which is stimulated by these applications. The stratification boundary conditions are imposed on the surface of the sheet. Generalized Fourier and Fick's laws with activation energy is also considered to discuss the heat and mass transportation. To obtain the dimensionless version of the flow modeled equations, an appropriate similarity variables are used. These transfer version of equations is solved numerically by the implement of the BVP4C technique on MATLAB. The graphical and numerical results are obtained for various emerging dimensionless parameters and discussed. It is noted that by the more accurate predictions of [Formula: see text] and M, the velocity sketch is decreased due to occurrence of resistance effect. Further, it is seen that larger estimation of micropolar parameter improves the angular velocity of the fluid.

RESUMO

Investigation of heat transport mechanism in swirling flow of viscous fluid containing silicon dioxide (SiO2) and molybdenum disulfide (MoS2) nanoparticles is performed. The flow is engendered due to stretchable rotating cylinder which immersed in infinite fluid. The boundary layer assumption is applied to simplify the governing equations of the problem. The theory of Cattaneo-Christov for thermal energy transportation is employed in the present phenomenon under the heat and mass constraints. The flow is also influenced by Lorentz force. The results for flow field, temperature, and concentration field are produced by employing the bvp4c numerical technique to the similar differential equations. According to the observations, it is noted that in the presence of Lorentz force the reduction in velocity field of the nanofluid occurs. The thermal and solutal relaxation phenomena also declines the energy transport in nanofluid flow. The outcomes are validated through the comparison with previous published studies.

RESUMO

This article mainly focuses on the influence of heat and mass transportation of micropolar second grade nanofluid toward porous medium of an exponentially stretched surface. The significance of activation energy and viscous dissipation with magnetic effect are taken into deliberated. Furthermore, to analyze the heat and mass transport scrutiny the concentration and thermal slip boundary conditions are assessed on the surface of the sheet. The convenient similarity variables are adopted to transfer the non-linear governing PDEs into the dimensionless ODEs and their corresponding boundary conditions also transformed. The nonlinear coupled ODEs are numerically solved by the usage of BVP4C MATLAB technique. The obtained numerical estimations are displayed graphically to display the significance of the various parameters against the velocity, temperature, microrotation, concentration distributions. It is noticed that larger estimations of micropolar and second grade parameter improves the fluid velocity consequently, while opposite trend is found for the higher estimation of porous medium parameter. Further, it is observed that the skin friction rate is boosted by the increment of ε and ß, whereas opposite trend is noted against the mass transfer rate and heat transfer rate.

RESUMO

The effect of Stefan blowing on the Cattaneo-Christov characteristics of the Blasius-Rayleigh-Stokes flow of self-motive Ag-MgO/water hybrid nanofluids, with convective boundary conditions and a microorganism density, are examined in this study. Further, the impact of the transitive magnetic field, ablation/accretion, melting heat, and viscous dissipation effects are also discussed. By performing appropriate transformations, the mathematical models are turned into a couple of self-similarity equations. The bvp4c approach is used to solve the modified similarity equations numerically. The fluid flow, microorganism density, energy, and mass transfer features are investigated for dissimilar values of different variables including magnetic parameter, volume fraction parameter, Stefan blowing parameter, thermal and concentration Biot number, Eckert number, thermal and concentration relaxation parameter, bio-convection Lewis parameter, and Peclet number, to obtain a better understanding of the problem. The liquid velocity is improved for higher values of the volume fraction parameter and magnetic characteristic, due to the retardation effect. Further, a higher value of the Stefan blowing parameter improves the liquid momentum and velocity boundary layer thickness.
