RESUMO

Scutigerellasinensis Jin & Bu, sp. nov. from China is described and illustrated. It is characterized by a deeply emarginated posterior margin of tergite 2, less differentiated marginal setae on all tergites, absence of seta a3 around the antennal base, and 6-8 setae on the first tergite. The complete mitochondrial genome of the new species is also analyzed and compared with the mitogenome of Scutigerellacauseyae. In the reconstructed Neighbor-Joining tree based on COI gene sequences, S.sinensissp. nov. clusters with S.causeyae, however, with big distances. The genetic divergence among S.sinensissp. nov. and congeners, species of Hanseniella and Scutigerella, and both families of Symphyla was analyzed using COI gene sequences.

RESUMO

Spinactaletes boneti mitochondrial genome was assembled and annotated. It has 14,766 bp in length, all 37 genes are present and the gene order is the same as the Pancrustacean ancestral gene order. Phylogenetic analyses based on maximum likelihood placed the species as a sister group of the remaining Entomobryomorpha, not closely related to the Isotomoidea superfamily, contradicting the actual systematics of the group.

RESUMO

The first complete mitochondrial genome of the micro-whip-scorpion (Schizomus zhensis) was assembled from Illumina-based whole genome sequencing. The circular genome is 14,309 bp in length with 13 protein coding genes, 22 tRNA, 2 rRNAs, and a control region. The A + T content of the mitogenome is 76.6%. Maximum likelihood phylogenetic analyses placed Schizomus zhensis as a sister group of (Thelyphonida + Amblypygi), but more mitogenomes of Tetrapulmonata need to be included in further analyses for a conclusive decision about the group systematics.
