RESUMO
The bee genera Callonychium Brèthes, Psaenythia Gerstaecker and Anthrenoides Ducke are newly recorded in Piauí State, northeastern Brazil. The species reported here are Callonychium brasilience (Ducke, 1907) and Psaenythia variabilis Ducke, 1908, and an as yet unidentified species of Anthrenoides. Images and all known distributional records of these species are also provided. The new occurrences reported herein expand the distribution range of the species to the Caatinga biome.

Cymodusa ypy sp. nov., the first species of the genus to be formally described from Brazil, is described and illustrated. This record extends significantly the known distribution of the genus in the Neotropical region.

Six new species of Hymenoepimecis Viereck are described from Brazilian Amazonian tropical forest: H. amazonensis sp. n., H. duckensis sp. n., H. kleini sp. n., H. manauara sp. n., H. ribeiroi sp. n. and H. uberensis sp. n., and male genitalia is described for the first time for the genus. In addition, we provide an identification key, diagnosis and distributional records for Brazilian Amazonian species of Hymenoepimecis. By describing these new species we aim to draw further attention to the considerable species richness of the genus in Amazonia.

Two new species of the monotypic genus Prochas Walkley from Brazil, P. brasiliensis sp. nov. and P. shimborii sp. nov., are described and illustrated. A key to species is also provided.
