RESUMO
Medical laboratory diagnosis is progressing from one analysis to a group of analysis with rather intricate statistical processing of data via multidimensional analysis, at the same time it is necessary to define a patient's individual normal levels, i.e. a "health certificate". In this regard, the process may be achieved when complex analyzers, which have a reliable metrological support, and systems for collection of both clinical and laboratory information and its simultaneous analysis are put into laboratories' practical work.

Characteristics of latex suspensions are studied in order to estimate their potential metrologic application. The study is carried out on the set "Magiscan 2" with the standard programs. Histograms for distribution of perimeters and particle diameters are determined, and the correlation between them is specified. Also presented are the histograms for distributing optical particle density. The correlation between optical parameters and the geometry of particles is found as well as the orientation and correlation between the optical density of particles and their location on the microscopic stage.

Main characteristics of clinical laboratory instruments for biochemical investigations are determined as are the required number of instruments and allocation of the available resources needed at the stage of development. The problem was approached by means of systemic analysis methods based on applying matrix prediction and solving the optimization problem prescribed by the set of inequalities. Calculated values represent actual needs of clinical laboratories, so it became possible to include development of these instruments into the Institute's plan.
