[Palliative resection of the esophagus in cancer]. / Palliativnye rezektsii pishchevoda pri rake.

The clinico-morphological analysis of patients subjected to resection of the esophagus for cancer has shown palliative operations to be fulfilled in 26,9% of cases. Among the causes the first place is occupied by operations inadequate to the local, then metastatic and lastly intraorganic spread of tumor. The analysis of remote results shows little efficiency of such interventions and their expediency.

A rise in LDH activity and a change of the enzyme distribution in the cytostructures of the heart and skeletal muscles of albino rats was revealed during the first 48 hours after a single twenty-four-hour action of an A. C. magnetic field (200 e, 50 cps). A displacement of the enzyma ratio in the direction of M-type was noted. Complete normalization occurred in the 3rd or 4th week only.
