RESUMO

Experimental and clinical investigations enabled the authors to develop a method of hernioplasty using a pi-shaped flap from aponeurosis of the external oblique abdominal muscle on the feeding pedicle. In this case the anatomo-functional interrelations of the tissues in the ilio-inguinal area get minimum injuries. It does not make a substantial obstacle for the following regeneration and restitution and so the method is rather efficient and can be used in the everyday practice.

RESUMO

Blood plasma protein fractures of the acute phase of inflammation are thought to be a sensitive test for diagnosing the activity of the inflammatory process. Their indicators can be used for control of therapy and in prognosing of the appearance of adhesive disease in the patient after recovery from peritonitis.

RESUMO

The effect of some local anesthetics on conductance of bilayer lipid membranes made of egg yolk lecithin has been studied. Low concentrations of anesthetics were shown to gradually increase the integral conductance of bilayers. This effect is connected with the protonophore activity of the tested anesthetics and it caused the stabilization of the bilayers. High concentrations of anesthetics caused destabilization of membranes and formed zones of nonselective increased conductance.

RESUMO

The effect of C35-dolichol on black planar bilayers from mixture of azolectin and cholesterol has been studied. C35-dolichol in concentration of about 10(-6) g/ml has been found to raise the bilayer conductivity, inducing current jumps with unclearly expressed conductivity level of 0.4-0.5 nSm. According to the data of the first and third harmonic during the several minutes after C35-dolichol addition along one side of the bilayer the capacity of the membranes and transversal module Young increase. It is supposed that dolichols induce the nonbilayer structure in membranes that is the basis for their transfer of oligosaccharides blocks across the membranes of Golgi apparatus.

RESUMO

Among 217 patients with acute peritonitis there were 12 patients with the peritonitis developed against the background of segmentary enteritis or colitis. The article describes this form of peritonitis characterized by great severity, rapid development and high death rate. On the detection of a necrotic segment of the small intestine, a one-step resection within the limits of healthy tissues is indicated. Two-steps operations are expedient for necrosis of the colon.

RESUMO

Rheohepatographic examinations of 48 patients operated upon for strangulative intestine obstruction and experiments in 62 dogs have shown substantial disturbance of the hepatic blood circulation with the reduced volume blood flow. Measures promoting normalization of homeostatic, porto-hepatic blood circulation protecting the liver from harmful factors are recommended for the treatment of acute intestinal obstruction.

RESUMO

The authors studied the penetration of variolo-vaccine virus through the mucosa of the small intestine of Macacus rhesus in enteral immunization, by immunofluorescent and virological methods. Fifteen minutes after the immunization the variolo-vaccine virus was revealed at the surface of the mucosal prismatic epithelium and in the t. mucosa propria within the cytoplasm of cells of the macrophage type. Dissemination of the process with detection of the variolo-vaccine virus in the blood, the lymph nodes, spleen and liver was determined within the range of 1 to 3 hours.

RESUMO

Virological and immunofluorescent methods were applied to the study of the distribution of the smallpox vaccine virus in the organs and tissues of rabbits immunized orally. It appeared that the vaccinal process developed with a predominant localization of the antigen in the regional (in respect to the site of administration) lymph nodes; the virus was revealed in the cell cytoplasm.

RESUMO

Electron microscopy was applied to the study of the dynamics of endocytosis of smallpox vaccine by alveolar macrophages in intratracheal immunization of guinea pigs; 5 to 15 minutes after administration of smallpox vaccine the viruses were absorbed on the macrophage surface, penetrated into the cells by invagination and vesiculation. A possibility of adaption of smallpox virus in the alveolar macrophages 12 hours after the vaccination was confirmed documentally.
