RESUMO

AIM: To analyze long-term consequences of the new coronavirus infection and rehabilitation prospective of microbiocenosis-oriented therapy in patients with functional bowel disorders. MATERIALS AND METHODS: The study enrolled 100 consecutive patients with various types of functional bowel disorders with recurrence of symptoms after the new coronavirus infection. The severity of abdominal pain was evaluated in points, and bowel movement disorders were assessed using the Bristol stool scale. A questionnaire was used as part of an in-depth clinical examination for COVID-19 survivors to identify the clinical symptoms typical for the post-COVID syndrome. The Hospital Anxiety and Depression Scale was used to identify and assess the severity of depression and anxiety, and the Asthenic State Scale was used to diagnose the asthenia. RESULTS: All patients in the study subjectively linked the recurrence of bowel disorders with the new coronavirus infection. The most common bowel disorder was irritable bowel syndrome with diarrhea. A distinctive feature of exacerbations of intestinal symptoms in the post-COVID period is their association with depression/anxiety and asthenic states. The addition of Zakofalk® metaprebiotic to the treatment regimen was associated with significant regression of abdominal pain and normalization of bowel movement, an improvement of asthenia, anxiety, and depression. CONCLUSION: The addition of Zakofalk® to treatment regimens for exacerbations of functional bowel disorders after the new coronavirus infection significantly improves the effectiveness of therapy.

RESUMO

The article is a report on the conference "Innovative methods of treatment of cardiac patients in a multi-hospital", which took place at the 3rd Central Military Clinical Hospital n.a. A.A. Vishnevskiy and dedicated to the 40th anniversary of the cardiology hospital center. The reports covered achievements, the latest developments introduced into the practice of medical and diagnostic work of the hospital and its affiliates with patients of cardiovascular profile. The advantages of a multidisciplinary hospital in the provision of specialized high-tech medical care difficult, multimorbid patients are showed. To report the possibility of co-temporal methods of effective treatment of a variety of cardiovascular morbidity in military personnel.

RESUMO

Among respiratory infections, adenovirus infection (ADVI), in the presence of which there may be severe pneumonia that frequently results in a fatal outcome, occupies particular attention. ADVI in patients without immunodeficiency is usually mild and shows a limited extent of injury. At the same time the disease in immunocompromised individuals may be severe, presenting with viremia, evolving sepsis, and high death rates. The paper gives a characteristic example of severe ADVI and its fatal outcome.

RESUMO

The aim of the present study was to investigate the relationship of C-peptide levels with insulin, resistance; components of metabolic syndrome and cardiovascular disease in patients with diabetes mellitus type 2. The study included 98 patients with diabetes mellitus type 2, who were divided into two groups by the level of C-peptide. The first group consisted of 54 patients with elevated levels of C-peptide; the second group consisted of 44 patients with normal levels of C-peptide. Our study has shown a positive correlation between C-peptide levels and a body mass index (BMI), triglyceride levels and the triglyceride/high-density lipoprotein ratio. Correlation analysis also allowed identifying a statistically significant association of the HOMA-2-IR-C-peptide with a BMI, triglycerides and the triglyceride/high-density lipoprotein ratio. In the group of patients with elevated levels of C-peptide found in practically all components of metabolic syndrome, as well as a high incidence of arterial hypertension and ischemic heart disease. The study shows that the detection of the C-peptide level is preferred in comparison with insulin for assessment of insulin resistance, presence of metabolic syndrome and can be used in type 2 diabetic patients for early detection of cardiovascular risk.

RESUMO

The article is concerned with modern methods of assessment of arterial hypertension in patients with metabolic syndrome and characteristics of modern antihypertensive drugs and its combinations necessary for the elderly. The authors gave their own example of treatment of more than 2000 patients with arterial hypertension and metabolic syndrome.

RESUMO

Clinical features of arterial hypertension in patients with metabolic syndrome are described with reference to antihypertensive therapy and the choice of adequate drugs for the purpose. Characteristics of the most frequently used preparations are presented along with algorithms for their application depending on clinical condition. Advantages of combined antihypertensive therapy in metabolic syndrome are substantiated, their most efficacious combinations are recommended.
