RESUMO

As a host for exchange bias (EB), van der Waals (vdW) magnetic materials have exhibited intriguing and distinct functionalities from conventional magnetic materials. The EB in most vdW systems is far below room temperature, which poses a challenge for practical applications. Here, by using Kerr microscopy, we demonstrate a record-high blocking temperature that approaches room temperature and a huge positive EB field that nears 2 kOe at 100 K in naturally oxidized two-dimensional (2D) vdW ferromagnetic Fe3GaTe2 nanoflakes. Moreover, we realized a reversible manipulation of both the presence/absence and positive/negative signs of EB via a training magnetic field without multiple field cooling processes. Thus, our study clearly reveals the robust, sizable, and sign-tunable EB in vdW magnetic materials up to near room temperature, thereby establishing Fe3GaTe2 as an emerging room-temperature-operating vdW material and paving the way for designing practical 2D spintronic devices.

RESUMO

OBJECTIVE: IKBKB-interacting protein (IKBIP) has rarely been reported in tumor research. This study aimed to evaluate IKBIP role in tumor progression. mRNA (messenger ribonucleic acid) expression, clinical characteristics and predictive values of IKBIP were assessed. METHODS: R package "clusterProfiler" was used to examine the potential mechanisms in which IKBIP may involve. Immune cell infiltration and its correlation with IKBIP was also analyzed. We further evaluated IKBIP influence on drug resistance. RESULTS: It was found that IKBIP was overexpressed and related to poorer survival in most types of tumors. IKBIP expression was strongly related to immunosuppressive cells in the TCGA (The Cancer Genome Atlas) pan-cancer samples. These immunosuppressive cells included tumor-related macrophages, tumor-related fibroblasts, and regulatory T cells. Moreover, immunosuppressive genes and immune checkpoints were positively related to IKBIP expression in several tumor types. Furthermore, patients with IKBIP overexpressed did not respond to most anti-cancer medications. It was also found that compared to control group, the number of invasive cells is four times that of IKBIP overexpression group, and the number of clone forming cells is six times that of IKBIP overexpression group. IKBIP overexpression promoted colon cancer cells invasiveness and clonogenesis by Transwell assay and colon formation assay. CONCLUSIONS: According to current findings, IKBIP is a probable oncogene and predictive marker for most of tumor types. High IKBIP expression is associated with tumor immunosuppression.

RESUMO

Interfaces formed by correlated oxides offer a critical avenue for discovering emergent phenomena and quantum states. However, the fabrication of oxide interfaces with variable crystallographic orientations and strain states integrated along a film plane is extremely challenging by conventional layer-by-layer stacking or self-assembling. Here, the creation of morphotropic grain boundaries (GBs) in laterally interconnected cobaltite homostructures is reported. Single-crystalline substrates and suspended ultrathin freestanding membranes provide independent templates for coherent epitaxy and constraint on the growth orientation, resulting in seamless and atomically sharp GBs. Electronic states and magnetic behavior in hybrid structures are laterally modulated and isolated by GBs, enabling artificially engineered functionalities in the planar matrix. This work offers a simple and scalable method for fabricating unprecedented innovative interfaces through controlled synthesis routes as well as providing a platform for exploring potential applications in neuromorphics, solid-state batteries, and catalysis.

RESUMO

The bacterial community structure associated with filter materials in the recirculating aquaculture system of Scortum barcoo was investigated using the 16S rRNA gene clone library method. Preliminary results showed that the clone library constructed from the initial operation condition was characterized by 31 taxa of bacteria belonging to eight phyla including Proteobacteria, Acidobacteria, Firmicutes, Fusobacteria, Sphingobacteria, Bacteroidetes, Verrucomicrobiae, and Actinobacteria. There were 14 taxa of bacteria belonging to four phyla including Proteobacteria, Acidobacteria, Planctomycetacia, and Nitrospirae from the stable operation condition where the water quality was well maintained. Nitrospirae was only found under the stable operation condition in this study. Our results further indicated that Nitrospira was dominated by members of the Nitrospira sp. lineages, with a minor fraction related to Nitrospira moscoviensis and an unknown Nitrospira cluster. These great differences of both diversity and composition between two operation conditions suggested that the composition of the microbial community varied with the degree of water quality in the recirculating aquaculture system of S. barcoo.

RESUMO

OBJECTIVE: To analyze the difference of specificity of four primers for betaproteobacterial ammonia-oxidizing bacteria (beta-AOB) 16S rDNA gene from the biofilm of closed recirculation aquaculture systems. METHODS: We used 16S rDNA clone libraries to describe the beta-AOB diversity. RESULTS: CTO189f/CTO654r produced the highest frequency of beta-AOB-like sequences (67.3%). The amplification performance of primer was noticeably influenced by the biofilm samples. Hereinto, the biofilm of closed recirculation aquaculture systems of Tilapia nilotica resulted in the higher amplification performance of primers. CONCLUSION: CTO189f/CTO654r exhibited the highest specific for beta-AOB 16S rDNA gene from the biofilm of closed recirculation aquaculture systems.
