RESUMO

Blood and urine concentrations of antithrombin-III, plasminogen, alpha 2-macroglobulin, alpha 1-antitrypsin, degradation products of fibrinogen-fibrin were studied in patients with abdominal suppuration. Noticeable deviations from the normal values especially marked in the severe process indicated the development of DIC syndrome and renal failure. Heavy combined treatment promoted normalization of the hemostasis shifts and eliminated pyo-inflammatory processes in the abdominal cavity.

RESUMO

Highly sensitive, specific immunoenzymatic assay for human alpha 2-macroglobulin was developed using solid phase "sandwich" procedure. The immunoenzymatic assay developed involved the following steps: 1. preparation of highly purified alpha 2-macroglobulin, 2. production of monospecific antiserum against the protein, 3. preparation of the immunoenzymatic assay system components--isolation of antibodies against alpha 2-macroglobulin, conjugation of these antibodies with horseradish peroxidase, standardization of the assay. Sensitivity of the assay was 31,25 ng/ml, duration of the analysis--3 hrs. The assay enabled to estimate the proteinase inhibitor in various human biological fluids. Content of alpha 2-macroglobulin in blood plasma, urine and tears was estimated in normal and some pathological states.

RESUMO

Proteolytic enzymes, particularly collagenase, are involved in development of eye cornea chronic ulcers. Analysis of lacrimal fluid obtained from the patients enabled to find not only the collagenase activity but and serine enzymes exhibiting BAEE esterase activity. Plasmin, blood plasma and tissue kallikreins regulated permeability of capillaries in conjunctiva and lacrimal gland as well as they activated latent collagenase. Studies of BAEE esterase activity in lacrimal fluid of the patients are required for prescription of adequate pathogenetic treatment.

RESUMO

Studies of the hemorheologic parameters and the hemostasis system components in the blood and lacrimal fluid of 130 patients with thrombosis of a branch of the central retinal vein (CRV) and calibrometry of the CRV have lead the authors to a conclusion that the major factors contributing to the pathogenesis of CRV thrombosis are (1) disordered blood rheology; (2) changes in the local hemostatic potential; (3) impaired blood stream in the corresponding CRV branches. Rationale for the use of drugs normalizing the blood rheology in CRV thrombosis is given.

RESUMO

Such therapy has been administered to 70 patients with acute pneumonias. 25 patients on traditional therapy have made up the reference group. The effects of laser therapy on the clinical picture, status of the coagulation system cellular and plasma factors, fibrinolysis, and on the blood stream at the site of the pneumonic involvement have been examined in the patients with acute pneumonias in single tests and after a course of treatment. Intravenous laser therapy has had a favourable effect on the clinical course of acute pneumonias, accelerating the terms of pneumonia resolution and promoting and earlier and more complete restoration of the blood stream and normalization of the hemostasis, in contrast to routine therapy.

RESUMO

An analysis of the course of the acute period of subarachnoidal hemorrhages has shown that in 26.5% of cases there were repeated hemorrhages, the mortality rate of such patients being 69.3%. The prognostic system based on the construction of a linear discriminant function makes it possible to predict the possibility of repeated hemorrhage or its absence with a 76.3% accuracy. Prediction of repeated hemorrhages from the arterial aneurysms may contribute to the correct selection of the scheme of treatment, including urgent surgical intervention.

RESUMO

Plasminogen preparation from donor blood and fibrinolytically active blood plasma from humans after sudden death were obtained using affinity chromatography on Lysin-sepharose 4B. The plasminogen preparation from donor blood was shown to be highly purified native plasminogen (Glu-plasminogen). The preparation containing activated plasminogen (Lys-plasminogen), plasmin, plasminogen activator, alpha 2-macroglobulin, alpha 1-antitrypsin, fibrin/fibrinogen was obtained from the blood plasma of humans after sudden death. The appearance of proteins lacking biological specificity to lysin-sepharose in the plasminogen preparation shows the ability of activated plasminogen and plasmin to form complexes with these proteins and demonstrates the retention of the functional activity in lysin-binding regions on their molecules. Monospecific sera to the isolated preparations were obtained, demonstrating the presence of the same immunochemical determinants in native and activated plasminogen.

RESUMO

In a series of 61 patients the authors studied the effect of some risk factors on the development of recurrences of haemorrhage from arterial aneurysms of cerebral vessels in the acute period of their rupture. The highest risk of recurrences was associated with an elevated fibrinolytic activity of the cerebrospinal fluid, spasm of the cerebral vessels, aneurysms of the anterior connective and internal carotid arteries as well as the patients' grave condition. Consideration of these factors makes it possible to specify the indications for surgical or conservative treatment. Antifibrinolytic therapy conducted in 5 patients with elevated fibrinolytic activity of the spinal fluid elicited good response.

RESUMO

The fibrinolytic activity of the cerebrospinal fluid and common venous blood flow was studied in 28 patients with ruptured aneurysms of cerebral arteries. Recurrent hemorrhage from the aneurysm was encountered in 8 of 11 patients with increased fibrinolytic activity of the cerebrospinal fluid but in none of the patients with absence of fibrinolysis in the cerebrospinal fluid. At the same time, intensified fibrinolytic activity was found in the common venous blood flow. It is suggested that the lysis of the clot at the site of the rupture of the aneurysmal sac is due to local fibrinolysis in the cerebrospinal fluid. Arterial spasm was detected in most patients with increased fibrinolysis in the fluid, and the severity of the general condition was graded III-V after Hunt and Hess.

RESUMO

The article is devoted to the assessment of efficiency of reinfusion of blood in patients with injured internal organs of the chest and abdomen and its influence upon the hemostasis system. The cavitary blood due to possessing a number of specific qualities has been shown to be a valuable transfusion medium. Its reinfusion does not aggravate abnormalities of the hemostasis system resulting from massive blood loss due to chest and abdominal traumas.

RESUMO

The effect of a new thrombolytic preparation, plasmakinase, on experimental coagulates and thrombi was studied morphologically. Histological and electron microscopic studies revealed changes in the structure of fibrin fibers in the form of separation of fibers into individual protofibrils and subsequent degradation into globular particles. There were disorders in the fibrin association with blood cells, washing out of partially hemolyzed red blood cells into the bloodstream, decrease in the size of thrombi and restoration of the vessel lumen.
