[Microbiocenosis of intestine and nutrition of healthy and osteoporotic aged women].

The composition of microflora of the distal part of intestine of 25 healthy and osteoporotic women-patients aged 50-79 years, depending on their diet, has been studied. The quantitative composition of intestinal microflora of women with osteoporosis, indicates the presence of dysbiosis caused by the decrease in the content of bifidobacteria and lactobacilli and a high level of undesirable microorganisms. The content of 78 nutrients in the diet of the examined women was analyzed. It was shown that the diet of patients with osteoporosis was more calorie rich and included a higher amount of essential nutrients than the diet of healthy women. The indicators of bone mineral density, depending on the number of representatives of nine groups of microorganisms isolated from the contents of the distal part of intestine, were analyzed. It has been well established that with an increase in the number of enterococci in the contents of the distal part of intestine the deterioration of the structural-functional state of the bone tissue can be observed.

[Increase in T-cell level in the peripheral blood of women with fractures in anamnesis during postmenopause period].

44 postmenopausal patients (45-76 years of old) have been observed. Interrelationship between composition and functional activity of peripheral blood cells, TNF-alpha level in the serum and bone density in postmenopausal women has been analyzed. It was established that the increase in neutrophil activity in women with osteoporosis, the high level of immune complexes are accompanied by the high level of IgG and autoantibodies to DNA. These results allow suggesting the presence of chronic inflammatory or immune processes taken place in postmenopausal women with osteoporosis. Increase in CD3+ cells percent was established in women with fracture in anamnesis. Obtained results allow suggesting the possibility that T-cells may play a role in the occurrence of fractures.

[Effect of peptide regulators on the structural and functional status of bone tissue in ageing rats].

The wide spread of osteoporosis in women in the post-menopausal period stipulates the need for new effective means of prevention and correction of pathologic alterations in the bone tissue. Effect of two peptide bioregulators: cartilages preparation based on the cartilaginous tissue extract and T-31 substance on the mineral density of rat bone tissue has been studied in the experimental model of osteoporosis. The study has revealed an osteoprotective effect of both studied substances, with significantly higher efficacy of the preparation based on cartilaginous tissue extract. The substances exerted both prophylactic effect on the status of the cartilaginous tissue, preventing the decrease of mineral density of the bone tissue in rats after ovariectomy, and corrective effect by increasing the bone tissue density, which was reduced as a result of ovariectomy.

[State of osseous tissue in patients with the neuroendocrine metabolic form of hypothalamic syndrome]. / Stan kistkovoï tkanyny u khvorykh z neiroendokrynno-obminnoiu formoiu hipotalamichnoho syndromu.

A study was made into the structural-and-functional status of the osseous tissue in patients with neuroendocrinemetabolic form of the hypothealamic syndrome. Noted in the above patients were abnormalities in the calcium-phosphorous balance which are manifested by a drop in the blood level of calcium and by profound hypercalciuria. All examinees have been shown to present with the osteopenic syndrome formation. Possible causes of development of systemic osteopenia in those patients presenting with neuroendocrinemetabolic form of the hypothalamic syndrome are believed to include, in the first place, hypercorticoidism, hyperprolactinemia, reduction in the estrogen secretion, which might be result in imbalance of processes of bone remodelling involving largely resorption of the bone.

[Occupational aging (biological age modeling)]. / Professional'noe starenie (modelirovanie po dannym biologicheskogo vozrasta).

Based on workers' biologic age, the authors created a systemic model of general and occupational ablebodiedness and tested the model on selective determination of biologic age among workers of various Ukrainian regions. The results proved increase in occupational aging of the population. General and occupational ablebodiedness in males of the select was lower than that in the females. Occupational ablebodiedness of population, especially of males, is considerably decreased. The latter evidence is a function of economic circumstances: heavy, hazardous and dangerous work conditions hardly compensated by payments.
