RESUMO

The authors present their experiences with endoscopic dissection of perforating veins in patients with severe forms of chronic venous insufficiency with special reference to the peculiarities of blood supply of the extremity superficial tissue. The generalized morphological description of the perforating arteriovenous structures of the leg is presented as a vascular formation including the arteries and veins put in the general connective-tissue vagina and beginning from the profound or/and muscular veins and arteries. Operations were made on 56 patients aged 25-76 years, 40 of them had postthrombotic disease, 16 - varicose disease. The endoscopic subfascial dissection of the perforating veins was conducted using the standard set of tools for laparoscopic surgery of K. Storz Company. During the surgical procedure the perforating vascular bunch in the subfascial space was isolated, the veins were intersected electrosurgically, the other parts of the vascular bunch were preserved. On the average, the patients were in the hospital for 7+/-2 days. Trophic ulcers healed up during 7-30 days. Long-term results were good in 30%, satisfactory in 64%, unsatisfactory - in 6%. So, the selective endoscopical dissection of perforating veins is thought to be a radical, minimally invasive, anatomically and functionally reasonable method of elimination of the horizontal venous blood regurgitation. This technique resulted in a considerably decreased number of postoperative complications and less time of hospital treatment.

RESUMO

A toxicological and hygienic characterization is submitted of novel synthetic organic flocculant AEC-5, AEC-7, AEC-10 which are low-toxicity substances and are classified under the fourth class of hazards. They have no skin-resorptive, locally irritative action and are endowed with a weak cumulative activity of functional character. The AEC-5 flocculant exerts a moderately manifest sensitizing effect in the dermal route of entry.

RESUMO

The report presents results of study of relationship between the longterm practice of utilization of waste matter from livestock industry (solid, liquid portions of manure, redundant active silt) in the crop-growing of the steppe, forest-steppe zones as well as of those of woodlands in Ukraine, on the incidence of acute infective diseases of the intestine in the community. The soil of farm lands was found out to be affected by an extensive bacterial contamination due to the above wastes being utilized on a wide scale. The degrees of risk of acute intestinal infection morbility in population areas located in those zones having utilization fields, are significantly higher than beyond their bounderies. Significant direct relationship between the size of the utilization fields and the incidence of acute intestinal infection in the community was established.

RESUMO

Activated carbon FAS/Pt and membrane GOMPOD do not deteriorate water quality under its purification. Mineralisator MP-UK in general does not deteriorate water quality. All the studied materials were recommended for treatment and conditioning of water in space apparatuses.

RESUMO

The results of complex toxicological and hygienic study showed that the quality of pipe water filtered through the activated carbonic fibrous material (ACFM) "Dnepr-F" forming a part of absorptive filtering element improved markedly. The content of organic substances decreased drastically as well as that of nitrates and iron. Microbiological indices did not suffer appreciable changes and were within permissible limits. The water filtered through the absorptive element with ACFM had no adverse influence on the organisms of warm-blooded animals. Proceeding from foregoing one can conclude that the "Dnepr-F" may be recommended as a part of absorptive filtering element for the final refinement of drinking water.

RESUMO

Complex hygienic assessment of the aerosol-gas method for the drinking water conservation demonstrated no significant effects on white rats in toxicological and genetical experiments. The method was recommended for long-term conservation of the drinking water in steel tanks.
