RESUMO

Coaxial rotor helicopters have great potential in civilian and commercial uses, with many advantages, but challenges remain in the accurate measurement of rotor blades' distance to prevent blade collision. In this paper, a blade tip distance measurement method based on ultrasonic measurement window and phase triggering is proposed, and the triggering time of the transmitter is studied. Due to the complexity of the measured signal, bandpass filtering and a time-of-flight (TOF) estimation based on the power density of the received signal are utilised. The method is tested on an experimental test platform with a pair of 200 kHz ultrasonic transducers. The experimental results show that the maximum ranging error is less than 1.0% for the blade tip distance in a range of 100-1000 mm. Compared with the amplitude threshold method, the proposed TOF estimation method works well on the received signal with a low SNR and improves the ranging accuracy by about 5 mm when the blade tip distance is larger than 500 mm. This study provides a good reference for the accurate measurement of rotor blade tip distance, and gives a solution for ranging high-speed rotating objects.

RESUMO

To understand the physical ocean laws of ocean circulation in the deep ocean below 2000 m, a profiling float named FUXING is presented to meet the deep-ocean observation requirements at a depth of 4000 m. First, to meet the low energy consumption and buoyancy regulation stability of the profiling float, the low-power buoyancy adjustment process of FUXING is effectively solved by introducing the external seawater pressure as the driving force. Then, to reduce the energy consumption of the single profile for the profiling float, the optimization of the oil draining adjustment mode in the floating process is studied. Simultaneously, a buoyancy-driven system characterization test was performed to examine the buoyancy adjustment of FUXING. When the frequency of oil draining is 15 times, the total energy consumption of FUXING is the lowest. Finally, FUXING was deployed in the northeast off the Luzon Island to validate the feasibility and reliability. The at-sea experiments indicated that the optimized oil draining adjustment mode can reduce the total energy consumption in the floating process by more than 20%. The profile data showed that the outer sea water gradually mixes with the South China Sea water after passing through the northeast off the Luzon Island.

RESUMO

Ultrasonic ranging has been widely used in automobiles, unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs), robots and other fields. With the appearance of micromachined ultrasonic transducers (MUTs), the application of ultrasonic ranging technology presents a more extensive trend. This review focuses on ultrasonic ranging technology and its development history and future trend. Going through the state-of-the-art ultrasonic ranging methods, this paper covers the principles of each method, the signal processing methodologies, the overall system performance as well as key ultrasonic transducer parameters. Moreover, the error sources and compensation methods of ultrasonic ranging systems are discussed. This review aims to give an overview of the ultrasonic ranging technology including its current development and challenges.

RESUMO

Based on the nonlinear disturbance observer (NDO), the inversion time-constraint stability strategy (ITCS) is designed to make the deep-sea self-holding intelligent buoy (DSIB) system hovered at an appointed depth within a specified time limit. However, it is very challenging to determine the optimal parameters of an ITCS depth controller. Firstly, a genetic algorithm based on quantum theory (QGA) is proposed to obtain the optimal parameter combination by using the individual expression form of quantum bit and the adjustment strategy of quantum rotary gate. To improve the speed and accuracy of global search in the QGA optimization process, taking the number of odd and even evolutions as the best combination point of the genetic and chaos particle swarm algorithm (GACPSO), an ITCS depth controller based on GACPSO strategy is proposed. Besides, the simulations and hardware-in-the-loop system experiments are conducted to examine the effectiveness and feasibility of the proposed QGA-ITCS and GACPSO-ITCS depth controller. The results show that the proposed GACPSO-ITCS depth controller provides higher stability with smaller steady-state error and less settling time in the depth-control process. The research of the proposed method can provide a stable operation condition for the marine sensors carried by the DSIB.

RESUMO

The measurement of input and output torque of a precision reducer, the core component of an industrial robot, plays a vital role in evaluating the robot's performance. The TMSIS and TMSOS of a vertical cylindrical high-precision reducer detector were designed and investigated in this study to realize the accurate measurement of input and output torque of the reducer. Because a transmission chain connects the torque transducer and the reducer, the characteristics of the inevitable additional torque are analyzed in detail. A torque calibration device is developed to realize the calibration of the torque measurement system. The readings of the torque calibration device are compared with the data of the instrument's torque measurement system to realize the instrument's torque calibration. The improved particle swarm optimization and Levenberg-Marquardt algorithm-based radial basis function neural network is used to compensate for the error of the torque measurement system. The parameters of the RBF neural network are settled according to the characteristics of the additional torque and the torque calibration results. The experimental results show that the torque measurement accuracy of the torque measurement system can reach 0.1% FS after torque calibration and error compensation.

RESUMO

A fiber-capacitive drop analyzer is an instrument which monitors a growing droplet to produce a capacitive opto-tensiotrace (COT). Each COT is an integration of fiber light intensity signals and capacitance signals and can reflect the unique physicochemical property of a liquid. In this study, we propose a solution analytical and concentration quantitative method based on multivariate statistical methods. Eight characteristic values are extracted from each COT. A series of COT characteristic values of training solutions at different concentrations compose a data library of this kind of solution. A two-stage linear discriminant analysis is applied to analyze different solution libraries and establish discriminant functions. Test solutions can be discriminated by these functions. After determining the variety of test solutions, Spearman correlation test and principal components analysis are used to filter and reduce dimensions of eight characteristic values, producing a new representative parameter. A cubic spline interpolation function is built between the parameters and concentrations, based on which we can calculate the concentration of the test solution. Methanol, ethanol, n-propanol, and saline solutions are taken as experimental subjects in this paper. For each solution, nine or ten different concentrations are chosen to be the standard library, and the other two concentrations compose the test group. By using the methods mentioned above, all eight test solutions are correctly identified and the average relative error of quantitative analysis is 1.11%. The method proposed is feasible which enlarges the applicable scope of recognizing liquids based on the COT and improves the concentration quantitative precision, as well.
