[The pathogenic role of uterine erythropoietin in a case of myomatous erythrocytosis syndrome]. / Egy myomás erythrocytosis esetrol és a méh eredetu erythropoetin fiziopatológiájáról.

We report the case of a 50-year-old woman with severe erythrocytosis and uterine leiomyoma. The suspicion of myomatous erythrocytosis syndrome was supported by erythropoietin level higher than expected. After the supravaginal hysterectomy, the patient's red cell parameters normalized and the erythropoietin level markedly decreased.
