Incidencia de pacientes con oclusión intestinal tratados con lisis de bridas en el Hospital de Holguín / Incidence Rate in patients with Intestinal Obstruction Due to Bridles Lysis at Holguìn Hospital

Se hace una revisión de 120 expedientes clínicos de pacientes con el diagnóstico de oclusión intestinal por bridas, atendidos por el Servicio de Cirugía General en el Hospital Docente Provincial Vladimir Ilich Lenin en los años 2000-2004 (incluyendo a ambos), con la finalidad de conocer la incidencia de esta afección, encontrándose que el grupo de edad más afectado fue el de 31-45 años. El tratamiento utilizado con mayor frecuencia fue la lisis de bridas, la complicación más presentada fue la sepsis de la herida y la mortalidad fue baja, en relación con otros autores...(AU)

An investigation was carried out in 120 patients with intestinal obstruction diagnosis due to bridles, aimed at knowing its incidence and behavior All the patients were attended at V. I. Lenin Teaching Provincial Hospital from 2000 to 2004 ,at General Surgery Service. The age group ranging between 31 and 45 years old was the most affected one. Bridles lysis was the most frequently treatment used. The wound infection was the most presented complication .The mortality was low...(AU)

Comportamiento de la úlcera péptica perforada en pacientes atendidos en Cirugía del Hospital V. I. Lenin / Perforating Peptic Ulcer Behavior in Patients Attended at General Surgery, at Lenin Hospital

Se hace un estudio retrospectivo, donde se presentan los resultados del tratamiento de la úlcera gastroduodenal perforada en 104 pacientes, a los cuales, en los tres últimos años (2003-2005) se les brindó tratamiento quirúrgico en el Servicio de Cirugía General del Hospital Docente Provincial Vladimir Ilich Lenin. Se realiza una serie de análisis de diferentes parámetros, reconociendo la necesidad del tratamiento quirúrgico precoz frente a esta enfermedad, se demostró que la sutura y la epipoplastia es el tratamiento más empleado a pesar de no ser curativo para solo resolver el cuadro urgente. A retrospective study was carried out in 104 patients with perforating peptic ulcer. All the cases were operated on at General Surgery Service at V. I. Lenin Teaching Hospital during the three last years , 2003-2005. Surgical treatment was applied, which was very necessary, being the suture and epipoplasty the most useful treatment before the operation. The most affected age group was between 46-55 years old. There was a positive radiologic diagnosis in the 90 percent of the cases. The surgical method was not always the chosen one by the specialists of the highest level...(AU)
