RESUMO
Heart rate variability was examined in random-bred albino rats at rest. The rats were clusterized according to activity of autonomic contour of heart rate control. Combination of factor and cluster analyses enhanced informative value of spectrum parameters of the heart rate variability in nonlinear rats grouped by initial neurovegetative status. The contours of central and autonomic regulation describe the most general features of the control influences that realize modulating influences at the heart level via sympathetic and parasympathetic control pathways. Their activity is comprehensively assessed by the normalized power spectrum of variations in the heart rate.

The paper describes a method of shuttering mixed cystourethrography in patients with low volumetric rate of urination that permits one to stop urination for the period of time necessary to fill the urethra but avoiding its overload and the development of venous refluxes. The aforementioned method was tested in 29 patients with stenosis of urethra and urocyst neck and proved the possibility to obtain the clear picture of urethra below its stricture, to measure its length and diameter.

The guanethidine sympathectomy in 4- and 8-week old white rats increased cardiac sensitivity to acetylcholine. An increase of sensitivity to adrenaline was observed in 8 to 20 weeks of postnatal period. The significance of the changes of extracardiac effects and the cardiac sensitivity to acetylcholine and adrenaline for its chronotropic control in sympathectomized 10-14 week old rats is discussed.

The work is grounded on the analysis of the urination parameters, obtained from the examination of 195 men with various urological pathologies and of 100 healthy individuals, through urodynamofluometry--a new method of the express-diagnosis of the urination disorders. 5 types of the urination according to its volume have been distinguished. The devised system of the quantitative-qualitative evaluation of the urination is an attempt to differentiate various conditions of the urodynamics of the lower urinary passages versus the peculiarities of their anatomo-functional state in men.

Using the "August" white rats, the influence of alpha-tocoferol (5 mg dose per day per animal) and of its antagonist--rancid fish oil (5% ratio in the food) on the cytophysiological properties of motoneurones was studied. Tocoferol caused a functional exhaustion of motoneurones. The rancid fish liver oil caused abnormalities in the specific function of motoneurones. Vitamin E administered after castration brought about further removal of changes, evoked by castration, whereas the rancid fish liver oil introduced after castration was seen to enhance distrophical lesions.
