RESUMO
A 6-month-old child with worsening cyanosis from birth, hypercyanotic spells and failure to thrive, was admitted with severe desaturation. Systemic saturation was < 56%, and echocardiography revealed severe infundibular pulmonary stenosis with normal pulmonary valve and a restrictive ventricular septal defect. The child underwent percutaneous stenting of the right ventricular outflow tract (RVOT), with good reduction in gradient and clinical stabilization. The child is being followed up for elective intracardiac repair.

A case of non-surgical septal reduction (NSMR, NSRT) for hypertrophic cardiomyopathy (HCM) using absolute alcohol injection in a 3-year-old child is described. An acquired aortopulmonary artery fistula is rare. We describe a case with an aortic arch aneurysm communicating with the main pulmonary artery. The diagnosis was made on the basis of transthoracic echocardiography and confirmed by transesophageal echocardiography. A post-mortem examination revealed the complete anatomy of the aneurysm and the aortopulmonary communication.

Two cases of transcatheter closure of aortopulmonary window (APW) using an Amplatzer duct occluder in one and a septal occluder device in the second are described. Transcatheter device closure of APW should be considered when anatomy is favorable in terms of location and size of the defect with absence of associated anomalies.
