RATIONALE AND OBJECTIVES: To evaluate the association between positron emission tomography (PET)/magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) biomarkers and survival outcomes in patients with endometrial cancer. MATERIALS AND METHODS: Between April 2014 and April 2016, 88 patients with newly diagnosed endometrial cancer participated this prospective study and underwent [18F] fluorodeoxyglucose PET/MRI. Sixty-nine patients with measurable tumors on PET/MRI were included in the image analysis. Imaging biomarkers included the minimum and mean apparent diffusion coefficients (ADCmin and ADCmean), maximum standardized uptake value (SUVmax), metabolic tumor volume (MTV), and total lesion glycolysis (TLG) of the primary tumors. The log-rank test and Cox proportional hazards model were used to assess the relationship between imaging biomarkers and survival. RESULTS: After a median follow-up of 80 months, 15 (22%) patients had tumor progression and six (9%) patients died. The results of ADCmin, ADCmean, and SUVmax did not show a significant association with progression-free survival (PFS) and overall survival (OS). Significantly shorter PFS was noted in patients with primary tumors with higher MTV (P < 0.001) and TLG (P < 0.001). Significantly shorter OS was also noted in patients with primary tumors with higher MTV (P = 0.048) and TLG (P = 0.034). In the multivariate analysis, MTV was an independent predictor of PFS (hazard ratio = 10.84, P = 0.033). CONCLUSION: PET/MRI biomarkers, particularly MTV and TLG, are associated with PFS and OS in patients with endometrial cancer. MTV was an independent predictor of PFS.

BACKGROUND: This study aimed to investigate the influence of immunonutritional factors on treatment-related toxicities and survival outcomes in patients with cervical cancer undergoing definitive radiochemotherapy. METHODS: Patients with cervical cancer who received curative radiochemotherapy between 2016 and 2021 were retrospectively investigated. Pretreatment prognostic nutritional index (PNI), neutrophil-lymphocyte ratio (NLR), monocyte-lymphocyte ratio (MLR), and platelet-lymphocyte ratio (PLR) were measured. Survival outcomes, acute and late toxicities were evaluated. RESULTS: Among the 138 patients, those with larger tumor diameters had significantly lower pre-treatment PNI (p = 0.005). Pre-treatment immunonutritional factors were predictive of clinical survival, whereas post-treatment factors did not correlate with prognosis. Patients with low pre-treatment PNI (<49.5) or high NLR (>2.4) had shorter progression-free survival (PFS, HR: 1.86, p = 0.045 for PNI; HR: 3.15, p = 0.002 for NLR) and overall survival (OS, HR: 1.80, p = 0.048 for PNI; HR: 3.83, p = 0.015 for NLR). High pre-treatment NLR was associated with an increased risk of acute diarrhea (p = 0.049) and late severe toxicities (p = 0.046). Combined analysis revealed that pre-treatment good nutritional status and low systemic inflammation were linked to longer PFS (p = 0.007) and OS (p = 0.002), and poor nutritional status and substantial systemic inflammation were associated with higher rates of late severe toxicities (p = 0.036), with higher prognostic value in advanced stage patients. CONCLUSIONS: Pretreatment immunonutritional measures serve as quantitative biomarkers for predicting survivals and treatment toxicities in patients with cervical cancer treated with definitive radiochemotherapy.

PURPOSE: The most widely used score for assessing the activity of Crohn's disease (CD) is the Magnetic Resonance Index of Activity (MaRIA) score, but it is time-consuming. The aim of this study was to compare the diagnostic accuracy of MaRIA score to the other two easily calculated scores. METHODS: Between January 2011 and May 2021, 67 patients with CD who underwent MRE and ileocolonoscopy within 2 weeks were enrolled. The MRE-based scores including the MaRIA score, simplified MaRIA (sMaRIA) score, and Nancy score for each colonic segment and terminal ileum were calculated and correlated with the ileocolonoscopic findings. The simplified endoscopic score for Crohn's disease (SES-CD) was considered the gold standard. RESULTS: A total of 343 intestinal segments were included in the analysis, of which 109 (31.8%) showed active inflammation on ileocolonoscopy. The areas under the receiver operating characteristic curve (AUC) of the MaRIA, sMaRIA, and Nancy scores for detecting active disease were 0.752, 0.764, and 0.765, respectively. In the sub-analysis for different indications, the MaRIA and sMaRIA scores showed a higher AUC (0.721 and 0.741) than the Nancy score (0.652) for disease monitoring. CONCLUSION: The sMARIA and Nancy scores showed comparable diagnostic accuracy to the MaRIA score, and thus could be used as alternatives to the MaRIA score. Furthermore, considering the range of application, especially for disease monitoring, the sMaRIA score may be more suitable for use in clinical practice.

OBP-301 is an oncolytic adenovirus modified to replicate within cancer cells and lyse them. This open-label, non-comparative, phase I dose-escalation trial aimed to assess its safety and optimal dosage in 20 patients with advanced hepatocellular carcinoma. Good tolerance was shown with a maximum tolerated dose of 6 × 1012 viral particles. The most common treatment-emergent adverse events were influenza-like illness, pyrexia, fatigue, decreased platelet count, abdominal distension, and anemia. Cohorts 4 and 5 had approximately 50% higher levels of CD8+ T cells in the peripheral blood after injection. The best target response occurred in 14 patients, 4 of whom had progressive disease. Multiple intratumoral injections of OBP-301 were well tolerated in patients with advanced hepatocellular carcinoma. The stable disease rate for the injected tumors was greater than the overall response rate, even with no obvious tumor response. OBP-301 might have a greater impact on local response as histological examination revealed that the presence of OBP-301 was consistent with the necrotic area at the injection site. Increased infiltration of CD8+ T cells and <1% PD-L1 expression were observed in tumors after injection. Improved antitumor efficacy might be achieved in future studies via viral injection with volume adjustment and in combination with other immuno-therapeutics.

Crohn's disease (CD) is a chronic inflammatory disease mainly affecting the gastrointestinal tract. With the increased availability of modalities in the last two decades, the treatment of CD has advanced remarkably. Although medical treatment is the mainstay of therapy, most patients require surgery during the course of their illness, especially those who experience complications. Nutritional optimization and ERAS implementation are crucial for patients with CD who require surgical intervention to reduce postoperative complications. The increased surgical risk was found to be associated with the use of corticosteroids, but the association of surgical risk with immunomodulators, biologic therapy, such as anti-TNF mediations, anti-integrin medications, and anti-IL 12/23 was low in certainty. Decisions about preoperative medication must be made on an individual case-dependent basis. Preoperative imaging studies can assist in the planning of appropriate surgical strategies and approaches. However, patients must be informed of any alterations to their treatment. In summary, the management of perioperative medications and surgery-related decision-making should be individualized and patient-centered based on a multidisciplinary approach.

BACKGROUND: Primary signet ring cell carcinoma of the colon and rectum (PSRCCR) is rare, usually diagnosed at advanced stage with poor outcomes. We aimed to find possible diagnostic clues in order to help diagnosis. METHODS: A retrospective study of PSRCCR patients from 1993 to 2018 was reviewed at a single tertiary center. Colorectal adenocarcinoma patients as control group with 1:4 ratio was also enrolled. RESULTS: 18 patients with PSRCCR were identified. The prevalence rate was 0.16% (18 of 11,515). The mean age was 50.2 years-old in PSRCCR group and 63 years-old in non-SRCC colorectal cancer patients (p < 0.001). Diagnosis tool depends on colonoscopy were much less in PSRCCR group than control group (44.4% vs 93%, p < 0.001). SRCC patients had higher level of CEA (68.3 vs 17.7 ng/mL, p = 0.004) and lower level of Albumin (3.4 vs 4.3 g/dL, p < 0.001). The majority of PSRCCR tumor configuration was ulcerative and infiltrative. More PSRCCR pathology presented as high-grade carcinoma (66.7 vs 1.4%, p < 0.001) and lymphovascular invasion (77.8 vs 44.4%, p = 0.011) than control group. More PSRCCR patients were diagnosed at advanced stage (88.8 vs 40.3%, p = 0.001). Higher mortality was also noticed in PSRCCR group than control group (72.2 vs 20.8%, p < 0.001). CONCLUSION: For young patients with long segment colonic stenosis and ulcerative/ infiltrative mucosa but endoscopic biopsy failed to identify malignant cells, earlier operation or non-colon site biopsy is suggested for diagnosing the PSRCCR.

BACKGROUND/AIMS: Primary sclerosing cholangitis (PSC) is associated with inflammatory bowel disease (IBD). We aimed to evaluate the prevalence, clinical manifestation, and outcomes of PSC in Taiwanese patients with IBD. METHODS: This retrospective study enrolled patients with IBD admitted from January 1, 1996, to December 31, 2018, to National Taiwan University Hospital. A case-matched analysis was performed comparing patients with IBD with and without PSC according to age, sex, and time of admission, with ratios of 1:4 and 1:2 in the adult and pediatric groups, respectively. RESULTS: In total, 763 patients with IBD were enrolled, 12 of whom were also diagnosed with PSC (1.57%). All these patients had ulcerative colitis (UC). A greater incidence of IBD with PSC was observed in younger patients than in older patients. Male sex was a risk factor for PSC in pediatric patients with IBD (P=0.015); 75% of these patients were diagnosed with PSC along with or after the diagnosis of UC. There was no significant difference in colitis extent and severity between the groups; however, a higher proportion of rectal sparing was observed in patients with PSC (P=0.001). There was no significant difference in cancer development between the groups (P=0.679). CONCLUSIONS: A 1.57% prevalence of PSC was observed in Taiwanese patients with IBD. The majority of patients with IBD and PSC were men and were diagnosed at a younger age. Hence, routine evaluation of biliary enzymes and liver imaging is recommended in young male patients with IBD.

BACKGROUND: We investigated the agreement and accuracy of preoperative magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) with postoperative pathological characteristics and stages of endometrial endometrioid carcinoma (EEC). METHODS: We recruited 527 women with EEC who underwent staging surgery at a single medical institution. The preoperative MRI, stages, and clinical and pathological parameters, including myometrial invasion (MI), cervical invasion (CI), adnexal metastasis (AM), intra-abdominal metastasis, and pelvic and/or para-aortic nodal metastasis, were recorded and analyzed. The agreement and accuracy between the preoperative MRI findings and these parameters and stages were assessed. RESULTS: The rate of the preoperative MRI-based clinical stage matching the postoperative surgical stage was 85.2% in International Federation of Gynecology and Obstetrics stage IA, 51.9% in stage IB, 35.5% in stage II, 5.3% in stage IIIA, 33.3% in stage IIIB, 28.6% in stage IIIC1, 64.3% in stage IIIC2, and 93.8% in stage IVB. The consistency between radiologists and pathologists was 80.5% for deep MI, 91.5% for cervical invasion, 92.2% for adnexal metastasis, 98.9% for intra-abdominal metastasis, and 87.5% and 92.2% for pelvic and para-aortic nodal metastases, respectively. The negative predictive value of intra-abdominal metastasis was the highest with 99.8%. CONCLUSIONS: Preoperative MRI could be an excellent tool for routine preoperative assessment to predict pathological parameters and stages of EEC, especially in excluding intra-abdominal metastatic disease.

The optimal adjuvant treatment for stage IB endometrial cancer remains undefined. We investigated the benefit of modern adjuvant radiotherapy for women with stage IB endometrial cancer. We retrospectively reviewed patients with surgically staged, pure stage IB endometrioid adenocarcinoma (2010 to 2018). Adjuvant modern radiotherapy consists of external-beam radiotherapy (EBRT) by intensity, volumetric-modulated arc radiotherapy, or image-guided vaginal brachytherapy (VBT). The study included 180 stage IB patients. Patients with grade 3 diseases had frequent aggressive histology patterns (lymphovascular space invasion (LVSI); low uterine segment involvement) and experienced significantly shorter recurrence-free survival (RFS) and overall survival (OS) than patients with grade 1/2 diseases. Adjuvant modern radiotherapy decreased the incidence of acute/chronic grade ≥2 gastrointestinal toxicity. In IB grade 1/2 patients, EBRT significantly lengthened survival (RFS/OS); patients with age >60 years, myometrial invasion beyond the outer third, or LVSI benefited the most from EBRT. EBRT also significantly improved survival (RFS/OS) in IB grade 3 patients, where patients with bulky tumors or LVSI benefited the most from EBRT. Therefore, EBRT may be beneficial for all stage IB patients.

BACKGROUND: Positron emission tomography (PET)/MRI biomarkers have been shown to have prognostic significance in patients with cervical cancer. Their associations with progression-free survival (PFS) and overall survival (OS) merit further investigation. PURPOSE: To evaluate the association between PET/MRI biomarkers and tumor stage, PFS, and OS in patients with cervical cancer. STUDY TYPE: Prospective cohort study. POPULATION: In all, 54 patients with newly diagnosed cervical cancer and measurable tumors (>1 cm) were included in the image analysis. FIELD STRENGTH/SEQUENCE: 3.0T integrated PET/MRI including diffusion-weighted echo-planar imaging (b = 50 and 1000 s/mm2 ) and [18F]fluorodeoxyglucose PET. ASSESSMENT: Two radiologists measured the minimum and mean apparent diffusion coefficient (ADCmin and ADCmean ), maximum standardized uptake value (SUVmax ), metabolic tumor volume (MTV), and total lesion glycolysis (TLG) of the primary tumors. STATISTICAL TESTS: A Mann-Whitney U-test was used to evaluate the association between the imaging biomarkers and tumor stage. A Cox proportional hazards model was used to assess the relationships between the imaging biomarkers and survival. RESULTS: In advanced tumors (T ≥ 1b2, M1, stage ≥ IB3), ADCmin was significantly lower and MTV, TLG, MTV/ADCmin , and TLG/ADCmin were significantly higher (P values between <0.001 and 0.036). In N1 tumors, ADCmin was significantly lower and MTV and MTV/ADCmin were significantly higher (P values between 0.005 and 0.016). In survival analysis, SUVmax was an independent predictor of PFS (hazard ratio [HR] = 4.57, P < 0.05), and ADCmin was an independent predictor of OS (HR = 0.02, P < 0.05). In subgroup analysis of patients with different stages, MTV/ADCmin was a predictor of PFS in stage I disease (P = 0.003), ADCmin (P = 0.038), and MTV (P = 0.020) in stage II, SUVmax (P = 0.006), and TLG (P = 0.006) in stage IV; and ADCmin was a predictor of OS in stage III disease (P = 0.008). DATA CONCLUSION: PET/MRI biomarkers of cervical cancer are associated with tumor stage and survival. SUVmax and ADCmin are independent predictors of PFS and OS, respectively. BACKGROUND AND AIMS: Immune checkpoint inhibitors (ICIs) exhibit significant clinical activity in patients with advanced hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC). This study explored whether tumor response to ICIs in HCC varies among different organs. METHODS: We reviewed the data of patients with advanced HCC who had received ICIs. Patients with measurable diseases were enrolled. Organ-specific response criteria, adapted from RECIST 1.1 and immune-related RECIST, were used to evaluate the objective response to ICIs in tumors located in the liver, lung, lymph node, and other intra-abdominal sites. RESULTS: Of the 75 enrolled patients with advanced HCC, 51 and 11 patients had chronic hepatitis B virus and chronic hepatitis C virus infection, respectively. Regarding ICI treatment, 58, 1, and 16 patients had undergone anti-PD-1/anti-PD-L1 monoclonal antibody (mAb) alone, anti-CTLA4 mAb alone, and anti-PD-1 mAb plus anti-CTLA4 mAb, respectively; 20 and 55 patients had received ICIs as first-line or ≥second-line therapy. The overall objective response rate (ORR) was 28.0%. In total, 58, 34, 19, and 18 patients had measurable hepatic tumors and lung, lymph node, and other intra-abdominal metastases, and the corresponding organ-specific ORRs were 22.4, 41.2, 26.3, and 38.9%, respectively. Of the 39 patients who had both hepatic and extrahepatic tumors, 12 had disease control in extrahepatic tumors while progressive disease (PD) in hepatic tumors, whereas only 4 exhibited disease control in hepatic tumors while PD in extrahepatic tumors (p = 0.046, McNemar test). Of the 16 patients with only evaluable tumors in the liver and lungs at baseline, 8 had disease control in the lungs while PD in the liver, and none experienced disease control in the liver while PD in the lungs (p = 0.005). CONCLUSIONS: The hepatic tumors of HCC may be less responsive to ICIs than extrahepatic lesions. Lung metastases responded most favorably to ICIs. The mechanisms underlying this differential response to ICIs warrant further investigation.

PURPOSE: To correlate the overall survival (OS) with the imaging biomarkers of dynamic contrast-enhanced magnetic resonance imaging (DCE-MRI), diffusion-weighted imaging (DWI), magnetic resonance spectroscopy, and glucose metabolic activity derived from integrated fluorine 18 fluorodeoxyglucose positron emission tomography (18F-FDG PET)/MRI in patients with pancreatic cancer. METHODS: This prospective study was approved by the institutional review board and informed consent was obtained from all participants. Sixty-three consecutive patients (mean age, 62.7 ± 12 y; men/women, 40/23) with pancreatic cancer underwent PET/MRI before treatment. The imaging biomarkers were comprised of DCE-MRI parameters (peak, IAUC 60 , K trans , k ep , v e ), the minimum apparent diffusion coefficient (ADCmin), choline level, standardized uptake values, metabolic tumor volume, and total lesion glycolysis (TLG) of the tumors. The relationships between these imaging biomarkers with OS were evaluated with the Kaplan-Meier and Cox proportional hazard models. RESULTS: Seventeen (27%) patients received curative surgery, with the median follow-up duration being 638 days. Univariate analysis showed that patients at a low TNM stage (≦3, P = 0.041), high peak (P = 0.006), high ADCmin (P = 0.002) and low TLG (P = 0.01) had better OS. Moreover, high TLG/peak ratio was associated with poor OS (P = 0.016). Multivariate analysis indicated that ADCmin (P = 0.011) and TLG/peak ratio (P = 0.006) were independent predictors of OS after adjustment for age, gender, tumor size, and TNM stage. The TLG/peak ratio was an independent predictor of OS in a subgroup of patients who did not receive curative surgery (P = 0.013). CONCLUSION: The flow-metabolism mismatch reflected by the TLG/peak ratio may better predict OS than other imaging biomarkers from PET/MRI in pancreatic cancer patients.

PURPOSE: To explore the utility of integrated positron emission tomography (PET) / magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) for evaluating subclinical inflammation in patients with ulcerative colitis (UC). MATERIALS AND METHODS: This prospective study was approved by the Institutional Review Board and informed consent was obtained. Between November 2015 and April 2016, 19 consecutive patients with UC in clinical remission were enrolled. These patients underwent 18F-fluorodeoxyglucose PET/MRI (3T) and colonoscopy. Serum high-sensitivity C-reactive protein (hs-CRP) and fecal calprotectin (FC) levels were also obtained. The findings of colonoscopy were graded using the Mayo endoscopic subscore. Quantitative (minimum apparent diffusion coefficient [ADCmin ] and maximum standardized uptake value [SUVmax ]), semiquantitative, and qualitative parameters of PET/MRI were evaluated and correlated with colonoscopic findings. RESULTS: In per-segment analysis, ADCmin was significantly lower and SUVmax and ratio of SUVmax to ADCmin were significantly higher in the colonic segments with active inflammation (Mayo endoscopic subscore ≥2) (P < 0.05). Qualitative MRI score, PET activity grade, and PET/MRI score were also significantly higher in the colonic segments with active inflammation (P < 0.05). Among these parameters, the ratio of SUVmax to ADCmin exhibited the highest area under the receiver operating characteristic curve (AUC) (0.763). In per-patient analysis, the AUC of PET activity grade was 0.778, higher than those of hs-CRP (0.589) and FC (0.722). Using a combined index of FC and PET, an even higher AUC (0.867) was achieved. CONCLUSION: PET/MRI is a potentially useful tool in identifying subclinical inflammation in patients with UC. LEVEL OF EVIDENCE: 1 Technical Efficacy: Stage 2 J. Magn. Reson. RESUMO

Ulcerative colitis (UC) is an inflammatory bowel disease characterized by chronic mucosal inflammation of the colon, and the prevalence and incidence of UC have been steadily increasing in Taiwan. A steering committee was established by the Taiwan Society of Inflammatory Bowel Disease to formulate statements on the diagnosis and management of UC taking into account currently available evidence and the expert opinion of the committee. Accurate diagnosis of UC requires thorough clinical, endoscopic, and histological assessment and careful exclusion of differential diagnoses, particularly infectious colitis. The goals of UC therapy are to induce and maintain remission, reduce the risk of complications, and improve quality of life. As outlined in the recommended treatment algorithm, choice of treatment is dictated by severity, extent, and course of disease. Patients should be evaluated for hepatitis B virus and tuberculosis infection prior to immunosuppressive treatment, especially with steroids and biologic agents, and should be regularly monitored for reactivation of latent infection. These consensus statements are also based on current local evidence with consideration of factors, and could be serve as concise and practical guidelines for supporting clinicians in the management of UC in Taiwan.

Crohn's disease (CD) is a chronic relapsing and remitting inflammatory disease of the gastrointestinal tract. CD is rare in Taiwan and other Asian countries, but its prevalence and incidence have been steadily increasing. A steering committee was established by the Taiwan Society of Inflammatory Bowel Disease to formulate statements on the diagnosis and management of CD taking into account currently available evidence and the expert opinion of the committee. Thorough clinical, endoscopic, and histological assessments are required for accurate diagnosis of CD. Computed tomography and magnetic resonance imaging are complementary to endoscopic evaluation for disease staging and detecting complications. The goals of CD management are to induce and maintain remission, reduce the risk of complications, and improve quality of life. Corticosteroids are the mainstay for inducing re-mission. Immunomodulating and biologic therapies should be used to maintain remission. Patients should be evaluated for hepatitis B virus and tuberculosis infection prior to treatment and receive regular surveillance for cancer. These consensus statements are based on current local evidence with consideration of factors, and could be serve as concise and practical guidelines for supporting clinicians in the management of patients with CD in Taiwan.

PURPOSE: To correlate the clinical stage and prognosis of pancreatic or periampullary cancer with the imaging biomarkers on diffusion-weighted imaging, magnetic resonance spectroscopy and glucose metabolic activity derived from integrated PET/MRI. METHODS: This prospective study was approved by the institutional review board and informed consent was obtained. The study group comprised 60 consecutive patients with pancreatic or periampullary cancer who underwent PET/MRI before treatment. The imaging biomarkers were the minimal apparent diffusion coefficient (ADCmin), choline levels, standardized uptake values, metabolic tumour volume (MTV), and total lesion glycolysis (TLG) of the tumours. The relationships between these biomarkers and clinical TNM stage were evaluated using the Pearson test and the Mann-Whitney U test. The area under the receiver operating characteristic curve (AUROC) was used to evaluate accuracy. The correlation between the imaging biomarker and progression-free survival (PFS) was investigated using the Cox proportional hazards model. RESULTS: ADCmin was significantly lower in N1 and TNM stage 3+ tumours. Choline levels significantly higher in T4 tumours. TLG was significantly higher in T4, N1 and TNM stage 3+ tumours. MTV was significantly higher in T4, N1, M1, and TNM stage 3+ tumours (all P < 0.05). The MTV/ADCmin ratio exhibited the highest AUROC for predicting T4, N1, M1, and advanced TNM stages tumours, and was an independent predictor of PFS (P = 0.018) after adjustment for age, sex, tumour size and stage. CONCLUSION: The imaging biomarkers from integrated PET/MRI may predict clinical stage and PFS in patients with pancreatic or periampullary cancer.

PURPOSE: To evaluate the correlation between maximum standardized uptake value (SUVmax ) and minimum apparent diffusion coefficient (ADCmin ) of endometrial cancer derived from an integrated positron emission tomography / magnetic resonance (PET/MR) system and to determine their correlation with pathological prognostic factors. MATERIALS AND METHODS: This prospective study was approved by the Institutional Review Board of the hospital, and informed consent was obtained. Between April and December 2014, 47 consecutive patients with endometrial cancer were enrolled and underwent simultaneous PET/MR examinations before surgery. Thirty-six patients with measurable tumors on PET/MR were included for image analysis. Pearson's correlation coefficient was used to evaluate the correlation between SUVmax and ADCmin of the tumors. The Mann-Whitney U-test was utilized to evaluate relationships between these two imaging biomarkers and pathological prognostic factors. RESULTS: The mean SUVmax and ADCmin were 14.7 ± 7.1 and 0.48 ± 0.13 × 10(-3) mm(2) /s, respectively. A significant inverse correlation was found between SUVmax and ADCmin (r = -0.53; P = 0.001). SUVmax was significantly higher in tumors with advanced stage, deep myometrial invasion, cervical invasion, lymphovascular space involvement, and lymph node metastasis (P < 0.05). ADCmin was lower in tumors with higher grade, advanced stage, and cervical invasion (P < 0.05). The ratio of SUVmax to ADCmin was higher in tumors with higher grade, advanced stage, deep myometrial invasion, cervical invasion, lymphovascular space involvement, and lymph node metastasis (P < 0.05). CONCLUSION: SUVmax and ADCmin of endometrial cancer derived from integrated PET/MR are inversely correlated and are associated with pathological prognostic factors.

RESUMO

Crohn's disease (CD) is a disease with chronic inflammation of unknown etiology involving any part of the gastrointestinal tract. The incidence and prevalence of CD are increasing recently in Asia. Half of the CD patients will have intestinal complications, such as strictures or fistulas, within 20 years after diagnosis. Twenty-five percentage of CD patients have had at least one small bowel stricture and 10% have had at least one colonic stricture and lead to significant complications. Most of these patients will require at least one surgery during their lifetime. Early diagnosis and evaluation with adequate managements for the patients can prevent disability and mortality of these patient. Here, we reviewed the current incidence of CD with stricture, the etiology of stricture, and how to diagnose and manage the stricture.
