RESUMO

An environmentally sustainable and proficient method is reported for the synthesis of medicinally important pyrazolo[1,2-b] phthalazine dione derivatives by aqueous micellar medium catalysed by Fe3O4 NPs. Dialkyl acetylenedicarboxylate with isocyanides in the presence of phthalhydrazide is used as starting material. The main advantages of this protocol are the availability of starting materials, short reaction times, green solvents and practical simplicity.

RESUMO

A convenient and metal-free synthesis of vinyloxyimidazopyridine derivatives has been attained via BF3.OEt2 promoted one-pot multicomponent approach. This procedure involves a facile coupling of 2-aminopyridine derivatives with arylglyoxal and alkyne derivatives. BF3.OEt2 complexation has successfully catalyzed the reaction at room temperature. Utilization of transition metal-free catalyst, mild reaction conditions, easy handling and operational simplicity are key features of developed process.

RESUMO

A clean and efficient, multi-component strategy for the synthesis of biologically important trisubstituted thiazole via the reaction of readily available barbituric acid, acetophenone, and aryl thioamides is reported in the presence of FeCl3.6H2O / O2(Air) in DMF solvent. The advantages of the present methodology include a one-pot reaction, environment-friendly approach, cost-effectiveness, broad substrate scope, operational simplicity, short reaction time, easy workup procedure, and high yields.

RESUMO

A visible-light-mediated, mild and one-pot three-component reaction in the presence of organophotoredox catalyst Eosin Y using EtOH:H2O as reaction medium for the synthesis of 3-functionalized indole derivatives was developed. Visible light used in the protocol is green, inexpensive, readily available energy source. The sustainable reagents make the protocol compatible with green chemistry demands.

RESUMO

A new metal-free approach to construct medicinally valuable 1-aryl-1H,3H-thiazolo[3,4-a]benzimidazoles under visible light irradiation in aqueous ethanol medium at room temperature has been developed. The present process was performed with 1,2-phenylenediamines, aromatic aldehydes and 2-mercaptoacetic acid utilizing a simple household 22 W compact fluorescent lamp to generate C-S, C-N bonds through radical intermediates. This visible-light-promoted synthesis provides lower cost, operation simplicity and high functional groups tolerating ability with short reaction time and high yield under mild reaction conditions.

RESUMO

The distribution of amino acid, amino sugar, and uronic acid in the epiphyseal cartilage of newborn lambs were examined to determine the influence of manganese (Mn) deficiency. Throughout the gestational period, one group (group I) of eight pregnant ewes was given a ration containing 60 mg of Mn/kg of feed and a second group (group II) of eight ewes was given a ration containing 5 mg of Mn/kg of feed. The neonatal lambs were killed, and the epiphyseal plates from various bones in the thoracic limb were removed and analyzed for glucosamine, galactosamine, uronic acid, and 17 amino acids. Concentrations of uronic acid and of the sulphur amino acids (methionine not significant, P greater than 0.05) were larger in the cartilage from the lambs born of group I ewes (60 mg of Mn/kg of ration) than in the cartilage from those of the Group II ewes (Mn deficiency). A tendency for higher hexosamine values was observed in the organic matrix of the group I lambs than of the group II lambs. However, concentrations of serine, histidine, and lysine were higher in the cartilage from group II lambs (Mn deficiency). Thus, the role of Mn in the prevention of joint abnormalities may be its influence on the mucopolysaccharide and protein composition of the epiphyseal plate.

RESUMO

The epiphyseal plates of neonate and healthy or osteoporotic 60-day-old lambs were analyzed chemically. Uronic acid was higher in 60-day-old healthy lamb than in neonates but galactosamine was higher in neonates than in 60-day-old healthy lambs. Fourteen of the 17 amino acids identified in the epiphyseal cartilage were higher or had a tendency to be higher in 60-day-old healthy lambs than in neonates. Lower levels of uronic acid were noted in 60-day-old osteoportic lambs than in healthy lambs of the same age.

RESUMO

In Coca-powder fumigated with Ethylene Oxide-1,2(14)C, several derivatives were isolated by extraction and preparative Thin Layer Chromatography. Of the two compounds isolated from the water-extract, the structures have been suggested as N,N-Bis-(Di-Ethoxy-O-Hydroxy-ethyl)-Isoleucyl-Alanyl-Cysteine (MW = 569)and N-Ethoxy-O-Hydroxyethyl)-Tyrosine (MW = 269), based on I.R. and Mass Spectrometry. Their approximate concentrations were found to be 20 and 50 mg/kg respectively.

RESUMO

A procedure based on extraction, column chromatography and precipitation is described for the separation of ethylene oxide-1,2-14C fumigated coca-powder derivatives in 9 different groups. As it was found in wheat [1], the major portion of radioactivity lies in water extract; in coca-powder the major portion of radioactivity is also found in low molecular components.
