RESUMO

Talocalcaneal bridge mostly occurs on the inner side of heel-talar joint, and accounts for the highest proportion of foot tarsal deformities. Most of patients have no obvious symptoms, and manifested as pain and subtalar joint dysfunction at the onset. There are many types of calcaneal talus bridge, and different types have different clinical guiding significance. At present, Rozansky classification is the most widely used clinically, which has certain guiding significance for clinical treatment;Lim classification is simpler and more comprehensive, and Blitz classification is recommended for combined foot deformities or osteoarthritis. In terms of treatment, conservative treatment is recommended for patients with mild symptoms;patients who fail conservative treatment could choose arthroscopic surgery to remove bone bridge, while patients with larger areas(>50% subtalar articular surface), multi-articular bone bridges, and severe deformities incision surgery could be selected, the first or second stage treatment combined with flat foot deformity;for patients with multiple arthroscopic or incision surgery failures, severe osteoarthritis, or complex talocalcaneal bridge, subtalar joint or tri-articular fusion could be selected, and correct deformity.

RESUMO

A device for collecting atmospheric particulates matter for on-line electron microscopy was designed and manufactured by using 3D modeling and printing technology. The device was used to collect atmospheric particulates matter in Xining city of Qinghai province for seven consecutive days and used to collect atmospheric particulates matter in Jinan city of Shandong province for 30 consecutive days. And the samples were analyzed by electron microscopy. Through it can obtain ultra structure and size distribution information of atmospheric particulates matter. The experimental results reflected the distribution of atmospheric particulate matter in real time. The on-line acquisition device for electron microscopy is practical, fast, and convenient, which greatly shortens the sampling period and can be carried to any place outdoors for real-time sampling. The morphological structure and particle size distribution of atmospheric particles in sampling area was observed by electron microscope. The device has reference value to the study of PM2.5 and PM10 in atmosphere and air pollution. This acquisition device is convenient for the detection of sample by electron microscopy. It can further expand and simplify the sampling technology of large-scale instruments and equipment. This new method of real-time monitoring of air pollution is worth popularizing and applying.

RESUMO

Gastric cancer is one of the most common cancers in the world, and long non-coding RNAs (lncRNAs) play a crucial role in proliferation, metastasis, and invasion of gastric cancer. However, there are very few researches focusing on the effects of lncRNAs on metastatic gastric cancer. In this research, we identify one kind of lncRNA, called AK025387, which is highly expressed in metastatic gastric cancer samples compared with non-metastatic gastric cancer samples. The expression of AK025387 is significantly positively correlated with lymph node metastasis. The in situ hybridization demonstrates that AK025387 is located in both nucleus and cytoplasm, but mostly in cytoplasm. AK025387 promotes gastric cancer cells migratory and invasive ability, but it inhibits apoptosis in vitro. Furthermore, AK025387 regulates Raf-1, mitogen-activated protein kinase/extracellular signal-regulated kinase (MEK), and extracellular signal-regulated kinase (ERK) and is involved in mitogen-activated protein kinase (MAPK) signaling pathway to perform its biological functions. We conclude that AK025387 is highly expressed in metastatic gastric cancer, and its biological functions suggest the potential of AK025387 to be a biomarker of metastatic gastric cancer.

RESUMO

Irritable bowel syndrome (IBS) is a common disorder in gastrointestinal system and impairs the quality of life of the patients. Clostridium butyricum (CB) is a probiotics that has been used in several gastrointestinal diseases. The efficacy of CB in treating IBS is still unknown. This prospective, multi-centre, randomized, double-blind, placebo-controlled trial aimed to assess the efficacy and safety of CB in treating diarrhea-predominant IBS (IBS-D) and analyze the fecal microbiota after treatment. Two hundred patients with IBS-D were recruited and were given CB or placebo for 4 weeks. End points included change from baseline in IBS symptoms, quality of life, stool consistency and frequency. Compared with placebo, CB is effective in improving the overall IBS-D symptoms (-62.12 ± 74.00 vs. -40.74 ± 63.67, P = 0.038) as well as quality of life (7.232 ± 14.06 vs. 3.159 ± 11.73, P = 0.032) and stool frequency (-1.602 ± 1.416 vs. -1.086 ± 1.644, P = 0.035). The responder rates are found higher in CB compared with the placebo (44.76% vs. 30.53%, P = 0.042). The change in fecal microbiota was analyzed and function pathways of CB in treating IBS-D were predicted. In conclusion, CB improves overall symptoms, quality of life and stool frequency in IBS-D patients and is considered to be used as a probiotics in treating IBS-D clinically.

RESUMO

Paclitaxel has been proved to be active in treatment and larynx preservation of HNSCC, however, the fact that about 20-40% patients do not respond to paclitaxel makes it urgent to figure out the biomarkers for paclitaxel-based treatment in Hypopharynx cancer (HPC) patients to improve the therapy effect. In this work, Fadu cells, treated or untreated with low dose of paclitaxel for 24 h, were applied to DNA microarray chips. The differential expression in mRNAs and miRs was analyzed and the network between expression-altered mRNAs and miRs was constructed. Differentially expressed genes were mainly enriched in superpathway of cholesterol biosynthesis (ACAT2, MSMO1, LSS, FDFT1 and FDPS etc.), complement system (C3, C1R, C1S, CFR and CFB etc.), interferon signaling (IFIT1, IFIT3, IFITM1 and MX1 etc.), mTOR signaling (MRAS, PRKAA2, PLD1, RND3 and EIF4A1 etc.) and IGF1 signaling (MRAS, IGFBP7, JUN and FOS etc.), most of these pathways are implicated in tumorigenesis or chemotherapy resistance. The first three pathways were predicted to be suppressed, while the last two pathways were predicted to be induced by paclitaxel, suggesting the combination therapy with mTOR inhibition and paclitaxel might be better than single one. The dramatically expression-altered miRs were miR-112, miR-7, miR-1304, miR-222*, miR-29b-1* (these five miRs were upregulated) and miR-210 (downregulated). The 26 putative target genes mediated by the 6 miRs were figured out and the miR-gene network was constructed. Furthermore, immunoblotting assay showed that ERK signaling in Fadu cells was active by low dose of paclitaxel but repressed by high dose of paclitaxel. Collectively, our data would provide potential biomarkers and therapeutic targets for paclitaxel-based therapy in HPC patients.

RESUMO

OBJECTIVE: To explore the new classification and marking method for traumatic deviated nose treated by septo-rhinoplasty. METHODS: Twenty-six selected cases of traumatic deviated nose were analysed. There were 5 C-type cases, 12 O-type cases and 9 S-type cases. Deviated parameters were measured before and after operation. All patients were treated by seven-step method. RESULTS: Clinical data in seventeen patients including C-type and O-type were complete. There was significant difference in changes of deviated parameters before and after operation( t = 6.9031, P = 0.0001). The cure rate was 58.8%, the effective rate was 88.2%. CONCLUSIONS: The new clinical classification and marking method for traumatic deviated nose are suitable for clinical study. Septo-rhinoplasty is effective for traumatic deviated nose.
