RESUMO

Recently, the tensor nuclear norm (TNN)-based tensor robust principle component analysis (TRPCA) has achieved impressive performance in multidimensional data processing. The underlying assumption in TNN is the low-rankness of frontal slices of the tensor in the transformed domain (e.g., Fourier domain). However, the low-rankness assumption is usually violative for real-world multidimensional data (e.g., video and image) due to their intrinsically nonlinear structure. How to effectively and efficiently exploit the intrinsic structure of multidimensional data remains a challenge. In this article, we first suggest a kernelized TNN (KTNN) by leveraging the nonlinear kernel mapping in the transform domain, which faithfully captures the intrinsic structure (i.e., implicit low-rankness) of multidimensional data and is computed at a lower cost by introducing kernel trick. Armed with KTNN, we propose a tensor robust kernel PCA (TRKPCA) model for handling multidimensional data, which decomposes the observed tensor into an implicit low-rank component and a sparse component. To tackle the nonlinear and nonconvex model, we develop an efficient alternating direction method of multipliers (ADMM)-based algorithm. Extensive experiments on real-world applications collectively verify that TRKPCA achieves superiority over the state-of-the-art RPCA methods.

RESUMO

Uveitis, a complex ocular disorder with numerous etiologies, can result from infection, autoimmune, and various physicochemical and mechanical injury factors. The treatment of this disease is difficult, and failure to receive timely and effective treatment can often lead to blindness. With the deepening of people's understanding of uveitis and its related mechanisms, various new sustained-release drug delivery systems for uveitis have been studied. However, due to the existence of various anatomical and physiological barriers in the eye, there are multiple obstacles to the sustained release treatment of uveitis. In this paper, the main research results in this field in recent years are reviewed, and the innovations and limitations of various new sustained-release drug delivery systems are discussed in order to provide new ideas for the sustained-release drug delivery treatment of uveitis in the future. These new sustained-release drug delivery systems will help to completely change the traditional treatment mode of uveitis with side effects and poor compliance in the future, bringing longer targeted sustained release and less toxic reactions.

RESUMO

Pansharpening refers to the fusion of a low spatial-resolution multispectral image with a high spatial-resolution panchromatic image. In this paper, we propose a novel low-rank tensor completion (LRTC)-based framework with some regularizers for multispectral image pansharpening, called LRTCFPan. The tensor completion technique is commonly used for image recovery, but it cannot directly perform the pansharpening or, more generally, the super-resolution problem because of the formulation gap. Different from previous variational methods, we first formulate a pioneering image super-resolution (ISR) degradation model, which equivalently removes the downsampling operator and transforms the tensor completion framework. Under such a framework, the original pansharpening problem is realized by the LRTC-based technique with some deblurring regularizers. From the perspective of regularizer, we further explore a local-similarity-based dynamic detail mapping (DDM) term to more accurately capture the spatial content of the panchromatic image. Moreover, the low-tubal-rank property of multispectral images is investigated, and the low-tubal-rank prior is introduced for better completion and global characterization. To solve the proposed LRTCFPan model, we develop an alternating direction method of multipliers (ADMM)-based algorithm. Comprehensive experiments at reduced-resolution (i.e., simulated) and full-resolution (i.e., real) data exhibit that the LRTCFPan method significantly outperforms other state-of-the-art pansharpening methods. The code is publicly available at: https://github.com/zhongchengwu/code_LRTCFPan.

RESUMO

Pansharpening refers to the fusion of a panchromatic (PAN) image with a high spatial resolution and a multispectral (MS) image with a low spatial resolution, aiming to obtain a high spatial resolution MS (HRMS) image. In this article, we propose a novel deep neural network architecture with level-domain-based loss function for pansharpening by taking into account the following double-type structures, i.e., double-level, double-branch, and double-direction, called as triple-double network (TDNet). By using the structure of TDNet, the spatial details of the PAN image can be fully exploited and utilized to progressively inject into the low spatial resolution MS (LRMS) image, thus yielding the high spatial resolution output. The specific network design is motivated by the physical formula of the traditional multi-resolution analysis (MRA) methods. Hence, an effective MRA fusion module is also integrated into the TDNet. Besides, we adopt a few ResNet blocks and some multi-scale convolution kernels to deepen and widen the network to effectively enhance the feature extraction and the robustness of the proposed TDNet. Extensive experiments on reduced- and full-resolution datasets acquired by WorldView-3, QuickBird, and GaoFen-2 sensors demonstrate the superiority of the proposed TDNet compared with some recent state-of-the-art pansharpening approaches. An ablation study has also corroborated the effectiveness of the proposed approach. The code is available at https://github.com/liangjiandeng/TDNet.

RESUMO

Objective:To investigate the value of the ultrasonography in the diagnosis of the white matter injury of premature infants based on gray-scale ultrasonography radiomics. Methods:A total of 256 premature infants in Huazhong University of Science and Technology Union Shenzhen Hospital and Shenzhen Hospital of Southern Medical University from August 2018 to April 2022 were analyzed retrospectively. The computer-generated random numbers were assigned to the training set and the verification set according to 6∶4 ratio. On the basis of standardized collection of craniocerebral ultrasound images, the radiomics features were extracted from imaging by Pyradiomics 3.0.1 software package, the Mann-Whitney U test and the least absolute shrinkage and selection operator (LASSO) and stepwise regression were used to select the optimal features. Then the Logistic regression was used to build radiomics model. According to MRI, ROC curve was utilized to evaluate the performance of the model. The craniocerebral ultrasound images in the validation set were independently diagnosed by a senior physician and a junior physician, and then the above two physicians diagnosed again with the help of the radiomics, and the diagnostic abilities of this model were compared with those of the junior and senior physicians with and without radiomics assist. Results:A total of 5 optimal features were selected to develop radiomics model. The sensitivity, specificity, accuracy and the area under the ROC curve (AUC) in the training and validation sets were 0.861, 0.775, 0.799, 0.818; 0.929, 0.824, 0.853, 0.876, respectively. The sensitivity, specificity, accuracy and AUC in the senior sonographer, the junior sonographer, and both of them with radiomics assist for the dagnosis in the validation set were 0.929, 0.892, 0.902, 0.910; 0.714, 0.743, 0.735, 0.729; 0.929, 0.919, 0.922, 0.924; 0.857, 0.824, 0.833, 0.841, respectively. Performance of radiomics model reached the level of the senior sonographer (AUC: 0.876 vs 0.910, P=0.284), which was significantly better than the performance of the junior sonographer(AUC: 0.876 vs 0.729, P=0.001). Performance of the junior sonographer with radiomics assist was significantly better than the performance of the junior sonographer(AUC: 0.841 vs 0.729, P=0.003). Performance of the senior sonographer with radiomics assist was comparable to that of the senior sonographer(AUC: 0.924 vs 0.910, P=0.156). Conclusions:The ultrasound diagnosis method based on radiomics technology shows good diagnostic performance for the white matter injury of premature infants. It is helpful to improve the diagnostic ability of junior sonographer. It is expected to assist the sonographers in diagnosis and provide objective, consistent and accurate results for clinical practice.

RESUMO

Panax notoginseng is an ancient Chinese medicinal plant that has great clinical value in regulating cardiovascular disease in China. As a single component of panax notoginosides, notoginsenoside R1 (NGR1) belongs to the panaxatriol group. Many reports have demonstrated that NGR1 exerts multiple pharmacological effects in ischemic stroke, myocardial infarction, acute renal injury, and intestinal injury. Here, we outline the available reports on the pharmacological effects of NGR1 in ischemia-reperfusion (I/R) injury. We also discuss the chemistry, composition and molecular mechanism underlying the anti-I/R injury effects of NGR1. NGR1 had significant effects on reducing cerebral infarct size and neurological deficits in cerebral I/R injury, ameliorating the impaired mitochondrial morphology in myocardial I/R injury, decreasing kidney injury molecule-1 and neutrophil gelatinase-associated lipocalin in renal I/R injury and attenuating jejunal mucosal epithelium injury in intestinal I/R injury. The various organ anti-I/R injury effects of NGR1 are mainly through the suppression of oxidative stress, apoptosis, inflammation, endoplasmic reticulum stress and promotion of angiogenesis and neurogenesis. These findings provide a reference basis for future research of NGR1 on I/R injury.

RESUMO

ObjectiveTo apply International Classification of Functioning, Disability, and Health (ICF) to systematically analyze the functional characteristics of children with intellectual and developmental disabilities (IDD) in special education schools, and develop a theoretical framework and methodology for music education that suits the students' functional profiles. MethodsUsing the ICF's functional classification approach, the study focused on children with IDD in special education schools. It conducted a systematic analysis of the special music curriculum and students' learning behaviors from three levels: body functions, activity and participation, and environmental factors. The study then constructed function-oriented, adapted and inclusive principles, core curriculum content, and an education and evaluation system for music education.ResultsThe main functional characteristics of children with IDD were at three levels: at the body function level, students may experience impairments in Global psychosocial functions (b122), psychomotor functions (b147), energy and drive functions (b130), high-level cognitive functions (b164), attention functions (b140), control of voluntary movement functions (b760), and involuntary movement functions (b765), among others; at the music-related activity and participation level, students may experience impairments in play (d9200), sports (d9201), arts and culture (d9202), social activities (d9205), and other specified or unspecified changes in maintaining body posture (d429); at environmental factors level, there may be influenced on products and technology for education (e130), natural environment and human-made changes to the environment, unspecified (e299), immediate family (e310), friends (e320), other professionals (e360), attitudes (e4), and educational and training services, systems and policies (e585). In music teaching activities, child-centered principles were established, advocating function-oriented inclusive music education activities. The study used the ICF's method to construct music curriculum objectives and conduct function-oriented music learning activities. These activities included welcoming and warm-up activities, music appreciation activities, singing and learning songs, combining music with dance activities, music composition activities, as well as exploring instrument playing, choir, and ensemble activities for higher grades. By using the ICF's three functional levels, a comprehensive functional assessment and music learning needs assessment can be conducted for students. Based on the assessment results, a function-oriented adaptive music education program can be developed, including: setting adapted music learning objectives and developing corresponding teaching strategies based on the analysis of students' functional characteristics; establishing accessible music education environments considering the impact of the students' environment on their music participation, and providing supportive and accessible music education environments within the family and school settings; developing and implementing function-oriented music education based on the analysis and evaluation of students' music activity needs and functional characteristics, providing inclusive or individualized music education practices, and offering opportunities for special needs students to enjoy music learning activities and social interactions. By applying the ICF to the assessment of music education for students, a function-oriented music learning assessment system can be established, including diagnostic, formative, and summative assessments of music learning.ConclusionThis study systematically analyzed the functional characteristics of IDD children in special education schools based on the ICF's three levels of body function, activity and participation, and environmental factors. It constructed a function-oriented, adapted and inclusive theoretical framework, and core curriculum content for music education in special education schools. Using the ICF, the study established function-oriented music education objectives, set up accessible music education environments, developed and implemented function-oriented, adapted and inclusive music education curricula, and conducted student music learning assessments.

RESUMO

ObjectiveTo construct a special music education goal framework with functional orientation and behavioral integration. MethodsUtilizing the International Classification of Functioning, Disability, and Health (ICF) theory and the Hauenstein educational objectives taxnomony, and by analyzing the core content of the China Special Education School Compulsory Education Curriculum Standards (2016 edition), objectives for special music education were constructed. A method is established based on the ICF and the functional characteristics of special-needs children to adjust the objectives of special music education. ResultsThe framework system of special music education goals should follow the principles of functional orientation, adaptability and inclusiveness. The framework mainly composed of the goals of cognitive domain, psycho-motor domain, emotional domain and behavioral field, and the goals of each domain could be divided into five levels according to the level of development and achievement. The cognitive domain mainly focused on feeling and appreciation, which made a foundation for music learning. The psychomotor domain developed the movements, skills and related abilities of musical performance. The emotional domain focused on the impact of special music education on behaviors in terms of emotions, values, and beliefs. The behavioral domain was the synthesization of the cognitive, emotional and psychomotor domains, to enable students to use musical elements and skills to create musical works and performance. The music education objectives should be adjusted according to students' functional and developmental levels and special music learning needs. For the cognitive domain, visual support, simplification and repetition might be useful. For the psychomotor domain, visual aids, multisensory experiences and supportive technological equipment might be needed. For the emotional domain, scenario simulation, role play and music environment setting could be used to promote the connection among music and the individual and the world. For the behavioral domain, creating an inclusive environment, affirming and encouraging, and providing opportunities for creative expression might help the students apply the musical elements and techniques. ConclusionBased on the ICF theory and the Hauenstein educational objectives taxnomony theory, and referencing the China Special Education School Compulsory Education Curriculum Standards (2016 edition), this study constructed an educational objectives framework for special music. Principles for building functionally oriented, adaptive, and inclusive music education were proposed, as well as a systematic method for adjusting the objectives of special music education.

RESUMO

The growth environment of medicinal plants plays an important role in the formation of their medicinal quality. However, there is a lack of combined analysis studying the close relationship between the growth environment, chemical components, and related biological activities of medicinal plants. Therefore, this study investigated the effect of different soil moisture treatments on the efficacy to eliminate dampness and relieve jaundice and the flavonoid content of Sedum sarmentosum, and explored their correlation. The flavonoid content in the decoction of S. sarmentosum growing under field conditions with soil moisture levels of 35%-40%(T1), 55%-60%(T2), 75%-80%(T3), and 95%-100%(T4) was compared. The effects of these treatments on liver function parameters, liver inflammation, and oxidative damage in mice with dampness-heat jaundice were evaluated, and the correlation between pharmacological indicators and flavonoid content was analyzed. The results showed that the total flavonoid and total phenolic acid content in the decoction of S. sarmentosum were highest in the T1 treatment, followed by the T3 treatment. The content of quercetin, kaempferol, and isorhamnetin was highest in the T2, T1, and T3 treatments, respectively. Among the different moisture treatments, the T3 group of S. sarmentosum effectively reduced the levels of serum ALT, AKP, TBIL, DBIL, TBA, as well as hepatic TNF-α and IL-6 in mice with jaundice, followed by T2 treatment, especially in reducing AST level. The T4 treatment had the poorest effect. Correlation analysis showed a significant negative correlation between AST, ALT, AKP levels in mice and the total content of quercetin and the three flavonoids. MDA showed a significant negative correlation with the total flavonoid content and kaempferol. TNF-α exhibited a significant negative correlation with the content of isorhamnetin. In conclusion, S. sarmentosum growing under field conditions with a soil moisture level of 75%-80% exhibited the best efficacy to eliminate dampness and relieve jaundice. This study provides insights for optimizing the cultivation mode of medicinal plants guided by pharmacological experiments.

RESUMO

Recently, the transform-based tensor nuclear norm (TNN) methods have shown promising performance and drawn increasing attention in tensor completion (TC) problems. The main idea of these methods is to exploit the low-rank structure of frontal slices of the tensor under the transform. However, the transforms in TNN methods usually treat all modes equally and do not consider the different traits of different modes (i.e., spatial and spectral/temporal modes). To address this problem, we suggest a new low-rank tensor representation based on the coupled nonlinear transform (called CoNoT) for a better low-rank approximation. Concretely, spatial and spectral/temporal transforms in the CoNoT, respectively, exploit the different traits of different modes and are coupled together to boost the implicit low-rank structure. Here, we use the convolutional neural network (CNN) as the CoNoT, which can be learned solely from an observed multidimensional image in an unsupervised manner. Based on this low-rank tensor representation, we build a new multidimensional image completion model. Moreover, we also propose an enhanced version (called Ms-CoNoT) to further exploit the spatial multiscale nature of real-world data. Extensive experiments on real-world data substantiate the superiority of the proposed models against many state-of-the-art methods both qualitatively and quantitatively.

RESUMO

This study fabricated high-voltage, low-current DUV-LEDs by connecting two devices. Due to better current spreading and the enhanced reflective mirror effect, high-voltage devices present a higher dynamic resistance, emission output power, wall-plug efficiency, external quantum efficiency, and view angle than single traditional devices. The study found that when the injection current was 320 mA, the maximum output power was exhibited at 47.1 mW in the HV sample. The maximum WPE and EQE of high-voltage DUV-LEDs were 2.46% and 5.48%, respectively. Noteworthily, the redshift wavelength shifted from 287.5 to 280.5 nm, less than the traditional device-from 278 to 282 nm. Further, due to the uniform emission patterns in high-voltage devices, the view angle presents 130 degrees at 100 mA input current. In this study, the high-voltage device showed more excellent properties than the traditional device. In particular, it presented a high potential application in high-voltage circuits, which can remove transformers to eliminate extra power consumption.

RESUMO

Type traits (TTs) can contribute to breeding animals with good economic traits such as production, longevity, fertility, and profitability. Dairy buffaloes are the second largest source of milk supply in the world, and their TTs should be taken into consideration in future dairy buffalo breeding programmes. However, the relationship between TTs and milk production traits in buffalo remains largely unknown. The study aimed to establish an early selection method for buffaloes with desirable milk performance by TTs. Using 1 908 records from 678 buffaloes, the relationship between TTs and milk production traits was analysed and the optimal growth curves of TTs related to milk production traits were constructed. We examined the correlations between 45 TTs (33 body structural, 12 udder and teat morphological traits) and three milk production traits (milk yield (MY), milk fat percentage (MF), and milk protein percentage (MP)). The results showed that the highest correlation was found between MY and udder circumference (r = 0.438), teat length (r = -0.380) or heart girth (r = -0.341). The teat distance and teat circumference exhibited a significant negative correlation with MF and MP. Rump length was the only trait that had a significant positive correlation with milk production traits, suggesting that milk performance could be comprehensively improved by including rump length in the selection procedure. Notably, we found that high milk production traits was obtained from the buffaloes with short teats (<6 cm), small heart girth (<200 cm), large udder circumference (>104 cm), long rump (>39 cm), and small distance between teats. Moreover, an early selection method for buffaloes with excellent milk performance was developed based on the non-linear models. Brody model exhibited the best fitting effect for heart girth and rump length, while the Logistic model displayed the best fitting effect for teat length. Our findings provide theoretical basis for the early selection of buffaloes with desirable milk performance.

RESUMO

Completing missing entries in multidimensional visual data is a typical ill-posed problem that requires appropriate exploitation of prior information of the underlying data. Commonly used priors can be roughly categorized into three classes: global tensor low-rankness, local properties, and nonlocal self-similarity (NSS); most existing works utilize one or two of them to implement completion. Naturally, there arises an interesting question: can one concurrently make use of multiple priors in a unified way, such that they can collaborate with each other to achieve better performance? This work gives a positive answer by formulating a novel tensor completion framework which can simultaneously take advantage of the global-local-nonlocal priors. In the proposed framework, the tensor train (TT) rank is adopted to characterize the global correlation; meanwhile, two Plug-and-Play (PnP) denoisers, including a convolutional neural network (CNN) denoiser and the color block-matching and 3 D filtering (CBM3D) denoiser, are incorporated to preserve local details and exploit NSS, respectively. Then, we design a proximal alternating minimization algorithm to efficiently solve this model under the PnP framework. Under mild conditions, we establish the convergence guarantee of the proposed algorithm. Extensive experiments show that these priors organically benefit from each other to achieve state-of-the-art performance both quantitatively and qualitatively.

RESUMO

The general tensor-based methods can recover missing values of multidimensional images by exploiting the low-rankness on the pixel level. However, especially when considerable pixels of an image are missing, the low-rankness is not reliable on the pixel level, resulting in some details losing in their results, which hinders the performance of subsequent image applications (e.g., image recognition and segmentation). In this article, we suggest a novel multiscale feature (MSF) tensorization by exploiting the MSFs of multidimensional images, which not only helps to recover the missing values on a higher level, that is, the feature level but also benefits subsequent image applications. By exploiting the low-rankness of the resulting MSF tensor constructed by the new tensorization, we propose the convex and nonconvex MSF tensor train rank minimization (MSF-TT) to conjointly recover the MSF tensor and the corresponding original tensor in a unified framework. We develop the alternating directional method of multipliers (ADMMs) to solve the convex MSF-TT and the proximal alternating minimization (PAM) to solve the nonconvex MSF-TT. Moreover, we establish the theoretical guarantee of convergence for the PAM algorithm. Numerical examples of real-world multidimensional images show that the proposed MSF-TT outperforms other compared approaches in image recovery and the recovered MSF tensor can benefit the subsequent image recognition.

RESUMO

Hyperspectral images (HSIs) are of crucial importance in order to better understand features from a large number of spectral channels. Restricted by its inner imaging mechanism, the spatial resolution is often limited for HSIs. To alleviate this issue, in this work, we propose a simple and efficient architecture of deep convolutional neural networks to fuse a low-resolution HSI (LR-HSI) and a high-resolution multispectral image (HR-MSI), yielding a high-resolution HSI (HR-HSI). The network is designed to preserve both spatial and spectral information thanks to a new architecture based on: 1) the use of the LR-HSI at the HR-MSI's scale to get an output with satisfied spectral preservation and 2) the application of the attention and pixelShuffle modules to extract information, aiming to output high-quality spatial details. Finally, a plain mean squared error loss function is used to measure the performance during the training. Extensive experiments demonstrate that the proposed network architecture achieves the best performance (both qualitatively and quantitatively) compared with recent state-of-the-art HSI super-resolution approaches. Moreover, other significant advantages can be pointed out by the use of the proposed approach, such as a better network generalization ability, a limited computational burden, and the robustness with respect to the number of training samples.
