RESUMO

Expansion of business activities comes with various environmental and natural disasters, hence agitating the economies and academia to present the counter and effective solution. Researchers also pinpointed prior that there exists a dark side of business expansion such as lacking of green innovative activities and dynamic capabilities which are creating resistance to achieve sustainability. Besides, literature also claims that green innovation is a crucial segment to achieve competitive edge that leads to sustainable entrepreneurship; however, it is not easier to be achieved as green innovation along green capabilities makes a complex network which consists of embedded partners, hence, also in dire need of green knowledge sharing as well to make the process smooth. In this lieu, the study aims to scrutinize the effectiveness of green knowledge sharing, green dynamic capabilities, and green service innovation on green entrepreneurship in the presence of gender role as a moderator. Empirical estimations calculated through PLS methodology reveal that green knowledge sharing, green dynamic capabilities, and green service innovation has a positive and significant linkage with green entrepreneurship in Vietnam. The outcomes also exposed that the male gender role significantly moderates the said relationship in Vietnam. Findings confirm that adoption sustainability practices such as green knowledge sharing, innovation, and dynamic capabilities are helpful to fulfill sustainable entrepreneurship demand; hence, further research is needed to extend the framework along with existing concepts.

RESUMO

The circular economy (SE) is the foremost element for environmental improvement that reduces wastage and enhances production. This aspect requires the focus of new researchers and experienced policymakers. Hence, the current research examines the impact of SE practices such as internal environmental management (IEM), eco-design, and internal recovery on the SE targeted performance, such as environmental performance in Vietnam. The research also investigates the moderating role of environmental-oriented supply chain (SC) practices such as green purchases among IEM, eco-design, internal recovery, and environmental performance in Vietnam. The research collected the data from the respondents using survey questionnaires. The research also investigates the association among variables using smart-PLS. The outcomes revealed that the IEM, eco-design, and internal recovery are positively associated with environmental performance. The outcomes also exposed that the green purchases significantly moderates among IEM, eco-design, internal recovery, and environmental performance. The research guides the regulators in establishing regulations related to achieve the high SE targeted performance, such as environmental performance using circular economy practices such as IEM, eco-design, and internal recovery.

RESUMO

Green practices are now treated as an essential component of organizational element and firms are now exploring ways to incorporate new growth strategies that ensure environmentally friendly methods. The present study focuses on manufacturing industry in China and identify that green HRM practices influence eco-innovation and organization's knowledge-sharing culture. The study also aims to identify whether eco-innovation and knowledge-sharing culture help to build successful green venture and provide indirect path to green HRM and green ventures. An adopted survey was used to collect data from manufacturing employees and SPSS-AMOS is employed to assess the model reliability and proposed hypotheses. Study outcomes reveal that green HRM practices increase knowledge-sharing behavior and promote green innovation. Findings also expose that eco-innovation and knowledge-sharing behavior are potential mediator, hence provide an indirect path between green HRM practices and green ventures. Results confirm that essentiality of green HRM in order to promote knowledge-sharing behavior among employees through which environmental commitment can be fulfilled by organizations, further leading to successful green venture.

RESUMO

Tourism development is being treated as an essential element of national establishment as it has the potential of promoting cultural diversity and increase economic growth of country. However, it is also viewed as a culprit due to depletion of natural resources. In this respect, it is quite thoughtful to probe the government support and its moderating impact on association of tourism development with sociocultural degradation, national resource depletion, economic environment, and pollution reduction in Indonesian context, as Indonesia is known to be rich in terms of natural resources and recognized as the multicultural country. By using PLS methodology, the association among outlined construct and model significance has been probed in the sample of tourism management authorities. Findings disclose that government support and policy intervention significantly moderates tourism development and growth and depletion of natural resources in Indonesia. Insights from the findings finally help in proposing some unique implications that are beneficial for policymakers and practitioners.

RESUMO

A giant fusiform aneurysm of the middle cerebral artery is a disease that causes many difficulties for endovascular intervention as well as surgery. No 1 solution is optimal for all cases, however for post-bifurcation aneurysms, trapping the aneurysms with a reanastomosis reimplantation, an in situ side to side bypass is feasible and has good results. We reported a 28-year-old male patient, admitted to the hospital because of severe headache, Glasgow Coma Scale 13 points, left hemiplegia, was diagnosed with subarachnoid hemorrhage due to rupture of a giant fusiform aneurysm of the middle cerebral artery in the M2 segment, Hunt and Hess grade 4. The patient underwent microsurgery with clipping aneurysm combined with a low-flow technique connecting the superficial temporal artery to the middle cerebral artery. Our findings suggest that surgery to connect the superficial temporal artery to the M2 segment and at the same time obstructing the parent artery occlusion of selected giant MCA aneurysm is an option to consider.

RESUMO

This work aims to synthesize a core-shell material of CeO2@SiO2 based on rice husk as a novel hybridized adsorbent for antibiotic removal. The phase structures of CeO2@SiO2 and CeO2 nanoparticles that were fabricated by a simple procedure were examined by X-ray diffraction (XRD), energy-dispersive X-ray spectroscopy (EDS), and Fourier transform infrared (FT-IR) spectroscopy, while their interfacial characterizations were performed by scanning electron microscopy (SEM), high-resolution transmission electron microscopy (HRTEM), the Brunauer-Emmett-Teller (BET) method, and ζ-potential measurements. The removal efficiency of the antibiotic amoxicillin (AMX) using CeO2@SiO2 nanoparticles was much greater than that using SiO2 and CeO2 materials in solutions of different pH values. The optimum conditions for AMX removal using CeO2@SiO2 including contact time and adsorbent dosage were 120 min and 5 mg/mL, respectively. The maximum AMX removal using CeO2@SiO2 reached 100% and the adsorption capacity was 12.5 mg/g. Adsorption isotherms of AMX onto CeO2@SiO2 were fitted by Langmuir, Freundlich, and two-step adsorption models, while the adsorption kinetics of AMX achieved a better fit by the pseudo-second-order model than the pseudo-first-order model. The electrostatic and nonelectrostatic interactions between the zwitterionic form of AMX and the positively charged CeO2@SiO2 surface were controlled by adsorption. The effects of different organics such as humic acid, ionic surfactants, and pharmaceutical substances on AMX removal using CeO2@SiO2 were also thoroughly investigated. The high AMX removal efficiencies of about 75% after four regenerations and about 70% from an actual water sample demonstrate that CeO2@SiO2-based rice husk is a hybrid nanomaterial for antibiotic removal from water environments.

RESUMO

In pathogenic bacteria, the two-component regulatory systems (TCSs) play important roles in signal transduction and regulation of their pathogenesis. Here, we used quantitative proteomic methods to comparatively analyze functional networks under the control of the RstA/RstB system versus the PhoP/PhoQ system in Salmonella typhimurium. By comparing the proteomic profile from a wild-type strain to that from a ΔrstB strain or a ΔphoPQ strain under a condition known to activate these TCSs, we found that the levels of 159 proteins representing 6.92% of the 2297 proteins identified from the ΔrstB strain and 341 proteins representing 14.9% of the 2288 proteins identified from the ΔphoPQ strain were significantly changed, respectively. Bioinformatics analysis revealed that the RstA/RstB system and the PhoP/PhoQ system coordinated with regard to the regulation of specific proteins as well as metabolic processes. Our observations suggested that the regulatory networks controlled by the PhoP/PhoQ system were much more extensive than those by the RstA/RstB system, whereas the RstA/RstB system specifically regulated expression of the constituents participating in pyrimidine metabolism and iron acquisition. Additional results also suggested that the RstA/RstB system was required for regulation of Salmonella motility and invasion.
